Fish Friday: The usual. Fish, white beans and pasta shells and cheese. But, got to try a new beer, today. They finally had the Autumn Brewmaster's 12 pack from Blue Moon. With dinner, I had this one:

Blue Moon Caramel Apple Spiced Ale

Do you ever put a bit of cinnamon on your sweet potato? If not, try it. I generally mix a bit of cinnamon in with some olive oil and seasoned wedges and roast for 20-25.

Sounds good. I've tried that on parsnips which you roast and then mash. Paprika works well on wedges as well. :)

Fish and chips for lunch on a rare Saturday off. Paired with a Mill Street Organic, really wishing I had that Blue Moon Solid Lifters had, though.

Pork hot links, bean soup, and a cup of coffee. Don't have much energy today, hoping that helps.

Went to HuHot for lunch. Behaved myself pretty well - only went over my sugar intake for the day by 1 tsp. Because of that I'll be having sausage for supper so as to not go further over.

This dieting thing ain't so hard.

Just had some of the ****tiest airport food. In the world. All of the stores and restaurants in and near Sanfrancisco Airport were closed early so I had to settle for this half assed airport restaurant. I spent $13.50 on a ****** Panini with two skinny slices of salami, a half cooked sunny side up egg, and some wilted spinach. I felt the Salmonella coming right when I bit into it. So slimy and disgusting. I could've gotten higher quality food at the grade C family restaurants. ****ing terrible.

Made grilled salmon with brown rice, mushroom and leeks for dinner.

Today I had a set luncheon of fried chickens with vegetables and sliced cucumbers as a garnish on my way home from granddad's country house.

Lately I've been having toast, bananas, yogurt, crackers... mostly boring stuff. I have the flu or some stomach thing so I'm trying to manage it.

Beef shank slow cooked in tomatoes, red wine and root veg. Superb. :D

That's sounds good. The beef shank, that is. It's been too long since I've had it.

Was it a whole shank or just slices? That's all we get here in the big chain stores. Just the packaged sliced versions. I hate those. Half or whole is what I prefer.

It was a half shank (about 1.6kg) which I then deboned, trimmed and cut into largish 2" cubes. I cooked it for over 3 hours and it was just melting at the end in a really sticking gravy. Can't believe it's not more popular, but that's all the better for me because it keeps the price down. ;)

How was the rounder? My dad really likes it and he's not really into craft beers. Working on him though.
