Oh no! Not another Screaming Sicilian!

I wanted the supreme, but it seems the store near me only carries the pepperoni, the cheese and this one, So I got the veggies from the other end of the frozen aisle.

The peppers and onions are open, because I used them in an omelette I posted a picture of yesterday.

A very busy, fully loaded pizza

Bought a sub from Subway tonight. Over half eaten by the time I took the picture :P

I've been in Florida for the last five days and haven't been on here, but while there I had conch, trigger, snapper, and enough mahi mahi to put them on the endangered list.

@Solid Lifters and I had a discussion in post 13766 about cooking corn dogs in the George foreman.
How do you cook them on a George Foreman without the batter running off?

Having a bad food day.

2 packs of peanut butter crackers, a Greek yogurt, and some low standard Panda Express.

@Chrunch Houston How long do you bake those for? I might pick one up at Walmart tomorrow.
Assuming that you are talking about that pizza, it says to bake it for 20 to 22 minutes. I baked it for about 23 minutes at about 400° F. It probably could have used a couple of more minutes though. I added quite a bit of frozen peppers and onions, and then more frozen mozzarella.

WOW just checked Screaming Sicilian pizzas at Walmart website. They are $6.98. At Kroger they are $9.49, but have been on sale for $8.99, and now $7.99.

Just ate a big-a:censored: burger steak with rice, sunny-side up egg, steak sauce and french fries, all that for lunch. now I'm just chilling with some coke.

Can we? Of corse.

If we're going to is a whole different thing.

I was planning on having leftover soup from last night but as it was getting a bit late after my ride, I opted for some grapes and Wild White Nacho Doritos. Great supper, right? :embarrassed:

Wow, I'll make sure to get one!

One of those lazy days. Picked up some pre-made ribs at the grocery store.

The ribs were meh at best. Very lightly sauced as they came though, so I was able to put my own on which helped improve them a bit.

The batter is already pre-cooked and frozen. I let them thaw out before cooking in the GFG.

But if you wanted to cook them with raw batter you could just prop the bottom of the George up to make the surface flat. I have actually made pancakes and omelettes in the GFG before.

I thought it might be a joke but I really never know with you because you do make a lot of your own products at home because of your heart.

On a side note I looked for the Mrs Dash marinade you suggested in post 13856 but they don't carry it. So I got this instead.

When someone says they cooked a corn dog I picture this:

After all, some form of that happened to your corn dogs long before they got to your freezer. So, the notion of cooking corn dogs on a GFG (or even a microwave) made me giggle.

As for healthier and homemade: Oiled mini muffin pan, lower sodium (or homemade) hot dogs (none are labeled as such, so you have to check the labels. Often they will be uncured.), and a batch of low sodium homemade corn bread mix. Cut the hot dogs so that one will fit in a mini muffin cup, heat the pan in the oven for about ten minutes, add a small layer of corn bread batter to the cup, add the hotdog, and cover with more corn bread batter. Bake according to the corn bread instructions, but check for internal doneness as the hot dog will add moisture to the batter as it cooks. You may need an extra 5-10 minutes.

Not the best California rolls I've ever had, but I had some spending money and I didn't feel like cooking anything.

More like attempting to cook. I can't even cook scrambled eggs.

I finally had a chance to sit down and cook up about 8 lbs of meat last night in the George. Most of this meat is from the butcher block that my grandma gave me. Butterflied and separated all the meat into individual freezer bags. This should last me a couple weeks. Each set took 4 or 5 minutes to cook.

  • 5 lbs of chicken breast cooked using the Mrs Dash "Chicken" seasoning @FoolKiller suggested. I will be using this seasoning for chicken from now on. Delicious.
  • 3 lbs of meat ranging from pork loin, beef ball tip, and sizzle steak. I used the "original" Mrs Dash seasoning for this.
  • Bell peppers red, green, yellow, orange.
  • Portabella mushrooms.
  • Rice with a little sprinkle of soy sauce. Never realized how much sodium is in soy.

You should look into a vacuum sealer. Less air means they will keep longer in the freezer. They take up less space than your grill.

How many sets did this take on the GFG? I'm looking at it, and thinking to myself that I could make everything fit on either one of my outdoor grills, but doing it on a GFG would take forever.

There are some low sodium versions, but I can only find them online and they are expensive. Instead I buy the lowest sodium I can find and then cut it with water to about 25% and add in some of my potassium chloride to bring the salty taste back up. If you put it straight on your tongue you can tell the difference, but when used in cooking no one can tell the difference. I suggest doing it in small batches because with the sodium reduced that low it can grow stuff in it, so you don't want more than a month's worth at a time. I buy a full bottle of soy sauce and then make a small bottle of my diluted version as needed. The regular sized bottle will last for a long time.

I recently found this, and might try it after my current diluted bottle runs out.

Side note: That sight has a lot of good sodium free mixes.

The pics might be confusing but I only had to cook 3 sets. So grand total to cook EVERYTHING including 8 lbs of meat, bell peppers, rice, and mushrooms, was about 12 minutes.

One row of chicken butterflied in the picture is 2 1/2 lbs of meat. I could actually cook all 5 lbs of chicken at once if I want. And it would take about 4 or 5 minutes to cook. But I spaced it out because I had the vegetables on the top row.

Last night my daughter had a doctor's appointment down the street from my favorite brick oven pizza place. Take home Margherita pizza it was.

Unfortunately, my in-laws showed up on surprise (they're moving right behind our house....should be many more fun times) so it sat and got congealed.

IMG_2247.JPG

But a little time in my oven revived it fairly well, and I found a dash of garlic powder and dried oregano go really well on it.
