Having some proper fish & chips, in Edinburgh. 3 types of fish.
Decided to try some Irn-Bru as well.

Out on a glamping trip. One of the uncles brought their smoker. This was dinner last night.

A beautifully cooked brisket. The perfect tenderness, the perfect bark. Damn it was good.
Had all the normal accompaniments. Cheesy potatoes, slaw, veggies, plenty of beverages.
This morning was breakfast burritos, tonight we fire up the frying pots and fry everything under the sun. Will be lots of jalapeno poppers too. But first, it's time to got get out on the river.

Well spotted, although the cheese was ricotta.

The base was grated mozzarella.
Aww, nurts...I second-guessed myself.

The lack of moisture would have caused feta to get as dark as everything else, and so I figured it had to be something with more moisture and that also wouldn't melt easily...like ricotta.

But feta sounded better with the other toppings, and I think I was wanting it to be that.

Still looks tasty.

@35mm, was this your first IrnBru and how did you find it?
My first one, yes.

I'm in Scotland right now, so it's pretty much everywhere.

When I'm out, I always try to taste the local food and beverages as much as possible.

Apparently, Scotland is the only country in the world where Coke isn’t the number one selling pop. Ironbru is.

It’s expensive here as an import so I only have one from time to time.

Microgreens and a date.

I need more than that. But what?
Steak!

Made some tasty meatloaf last night. Having air and water for lunch today.
Will be cooking up some steak tonight for my lunches, not sure what's on for dinner tonight though

A couple of Chicago Town pepperoni pizzas from the microwave...

... but I have noticed a weird thing.

I usually have two - one after the other. I microwave the first one for exactly 3m10s on a small plate, and that is long enough to make sure it is cooked throughout. After a minute or two, I put another one on the same plate and microwave it for the exact same time - but this time it is still cold in the middle! It needs to go back in for at least another 20-30 seconds to be edible. I can only guess that the residual heat in the plate is making the plate absorb microwaves more, and hence the pizza is getting less heating.

I thought it was just a one-off, but it actually happens every time.

Could also be heat within the transformer causing it to be less efficent.
Steak salad fire lunch today. Honestly one of the few things that I can eat everyday and not get sick of.

Dark chocolate frozen custard with orange segments and a splash of Cointreau.

Dinner was grilled skirt steak tacos with poblanos and red onion, also grilled, crema and salsa verde.

@kikie - Admittedly, I get these nuts at work pretty often. I love them. They are salted with salt that came from the sea.

I could honestly be happy with life just licking the sea salt off nuts. I would certainly like to try sea salt with more types of nuts in the future.
