The impossible whopper is now available country wide in the US. Everything I've heard daddy's they ate nearly identical to a regular whopper. Hopefully that doesnt include the gut rot BK tends to give me. The wife and I plan to test them.put some time next week.Looking for something for dinner, curiosity got the better of me. Picked up a pack of these and made one for dinner:
Alarmingly they smelled like canned dog food when I opened the package, but I cooked them (cast iron skillet) according to instructions. After cooking they looked like meat. I wanted to go easy on the toppings so I could taste the burger, plain bun with some BBQ sauce.
It didn't taste bad, just didn't taste much like a regular beef burger. Good try though.
Maybe someday I'll try the Impossible burger. For now, that requires going to a restaurant and interacting with people. I didn't want to do that tonight. The Beyond burger is supposed to be the best, most meat-like burger available in stores so I got that instead.
