It was a 2 pack, so it was either eat the 2nd one or throw it away. The 1st one actually wasn't that bad. I might have waited too long to eat the other one, which is why it tasted funky. That, and I was 100% sober for burger #2.

Anyhoo, tonight's dinner was a smoked jalapeno & cheddar sausage that I brought home from the Michigan trip which was awesome.

Also some air fried veggie ring things that weren't good but they were cheap.
Where in my beautiful state did you happen to visit?

Picked up a 750ml bottle of Hennessy VS on sale for $30.99, just under $33 out the door (a pretty fantastic price), so I decided to celebrate the bargain with a refreshing...

...Gin Rickey.

:P

Edit: Turkey club and taro chips. Aaand I'm being good, so it's a Lime Rickey this time around.

Yesterday I got another chicken filet, to replace the one that had gone bad, and I'm going to combine this filet with pasta today.

I am about to start making my breakfast... A "garden to glass" Bloody Mary mix we picked up Thursday at the Farmers Market event hosted on the capital lawn downtown Lansing, with a quite liberal "splash" of Tito's vodka. And maybe a peanut butter covered waffle and some fresh fruit.

Here's the bloody Mary mix...

It was so nice I had one more for lunch and will be having the last bit for a snack. I'd say the perfect meal for being out in the garage cleaning away.

If given a choice, Krispy Kreme is crap. Sandy's is where it's at.

I've never had Sandy's, but Krispy Kreme is indeed crap (as is Dunkin Donuts, which only came back to MN a few years ago after a very long absence). They tried opening some here about 15 years ago and they only lasted a couple years. The one that was closest to me is ironically now a vitamin place.

As for my preferred donuts, there's a local place that's great.

Uhhhuhghh doughnut......

The looney Baker is where I go when I want a doughnut. Gotta be jelly filled at that. Don't eat them often though.

Edit: that said, I dont mind getting some Dunkin Donuts doughnuts. I dont care for Krispy Kreme and QD leaves something to be desired for sure. Dunkin isnt bad for a chain shop.

Krispy Kreme is in fact only decent when they are fresh and still HOT.

Other than that, you clearly need Old Town Doughnuts. Whis is a local shop so nobody else on here will have ever heard of them. Oops.

Nutritional yeast? Wouldn't that be better baked, or perhaps brewed? At least that how I prefer to consume yeast.

I'm multitasking right now. Holding a quiche in my left hand and eating it and typing/browsing on GTP.

At my desk eating a trio of soft tacos from leftovers; braised pork with pickled onion and habanero hot sauce, grilled chicken with salsa verde and grilled steak with onion, cilantro and lime.

And a mango grapefruit Hint water.
