I stopped by the local Safeway and picked up some chicken strips, Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue dipping sauce, and a cold bottle of Mountain Dew’s Zero Sugar “Mystery Flavor.” I’ll be enjoying them while watching Bride of the Monster, the 1955 schlockfest from Ed Wood. It’s being riffed by The Mads, Frank Conniff and Trace Beaulieu.

I just had Wendy's Baconator Fries while waiting for a haircut. They were very disappointing.

Rally's/Checkers loaded fries are the goat of messy fries if you ask me.

I’ve never had, or even seen a Taco Bell. Am I missing out?
Me neither, up until February this year when, out of curiosity, we decided to go to one (in Barcelona).

Couldn't understand what the fuss was all about. Neither of us liked it at all.

Taco Bell is everything for people whom: Want Mexican food, but do not like Mexican food.

Myself, I love Taco Bell.

Taco Bell probably ranks 3rd in my list of fast food restaurants behind Five Guys and KFC, but bear in mind this is coming from a Brit who has not had the luxury of American fast food restaurants

I've only ever had Taco Bell when I lived in Irvine, CA briefly in 2015, and it was pretty poor.

That said, I do admire it for being able to at least sell you something to eat at midnight that costs just $1.

Ironically, I only later discovered that Taco Bell's global HQ is also in Irvine, CA and hence if that store was meant to be some kind of flagship, then it doesn't say much for the rest of their branches  Taco Bell also recently opened their first (and possibly only) branch in Scotland a few years ago, and I've never been tempted to visit it.

I also used to frequent In-N-Out Burger in Irvine, CA and that was a lot more presentable. Again, I had no idea that it's global HQ is also in Irvine and is in fact just 100 yards from the restaurant where I used to eat about once a week, so it really was their flagship branch.

iIRC, my first time in McDonald's was in age of 13. We had borscht at home, no reason to eat at takeaways 🤣
Depends upon whether you're part of a family unit or not. I wasn't.

The one I had when they first arrived in the eighties was okay for chain restaurant food. When they later expanded their operation in the nineties their food became very unspecial. Think boiled, tasteless mince.

I rate Five Guys as equal or better than the In-N-Out I had in San Francisco a few years back. Possibly not so hot on the varieties but on the upside there's no stealth proselytising on the packaging. Wendy's was comparable before they left the UK - not had a chance to try them now they've returned since they've only opened a few select outlets - and Arby's and Chiquito quite a bit below that IMO.
