Riffed a simple soup using TJ's roasted red pepper and tomato soup as a base with shrimp stock, left-over white beans, homemade harissa and shrimp. Cooked the shrimp in the soup base with shrimp stock and harissa and then added the beans and chilled it. It was crazy good and the hardest part was prepping the shrimp.

Presently nursing a Paloma made with jalapeño Tequila.

Le Charcuterie for lunch. Been years.

I will admit, I ate the pizza before taking a picture 😞.

However, I made cinnamon rolls this morning. I know it doesn't make up for the lack of a pizza picture.
Lol, I made cinnamon rolls the other night. It was actually leftover dough that I used from the pizza for them. Yours looked infinitely better than mine.

Oh FFS

I made a new recipe tonight - basically a chilli and rice bake - standard pot of chilli, but added uncooked rice into it and let it cook together. Then you put it in a tray and add cheese on top and bake it; I made a mix of cheese with bechamel first, then topped the whole thing with a pack of mozzarella and cheddar I got from Lidl...

... except, after I'd added the cheese, I spotted that it was moldly - despite having a use-by date on end June :irked:

It's basically ruined a meal that cost around £10-12 to make.

I put it in the oven anyway, and it smells/looks great - I'm tempted just to cook the buggery out of it and eat it anyway.

-

Update:

I cooked it and had some for my dinner last night - it was OK, and I'm pretty sure it would have been safe as I cooked the hell out of it, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I should have. However, Lidl have refunded me £7 - not the whole cost of the meal, but the two things that I used up completely (500g pack of mince and the pack of cheese) can be replaced with that, so I'm reasonably happy with that. They also didn't question it at all and refunded me without any evidence or questions.

Cheers to the moldy chilli rice bake.

Not impressed with taste, but looks cool. I am currently in Midnight sun region, at best we can grow plums and cherry open air.
Was it a white or purple flesh inside? I don’t mind the white one. Haven’t tried to purple one yet.

I broke my 24 year abstinence from Taco Bell today and had a Delux Cravings Box.

Everything was pretty good except for the beefy 5-layer burrito. If you're going to put it in the name, there should be some beef in there, not 95% beans. Looking at the picture, there was next to no cheese, either. So basically a tortilla with beans.

That Chalupa, though... Do like.
