What are your computer specs? Thread.

Says who? Get thee to the 'ring.

Is it wrong to want to post in here because I bought an EVGA GTX770 Superclocked a couple of weeks ago.. and my old i5-2500K is running at 4.5GHz?

I feel somehow diminished.... :ouch:

2500's are still capable, but I'm (once again) so far behind on my tech that I can't even compare it to anything competently. Last I was paying attention the 4770K had just released. :P

I just searched for the Titan Z, because I didn't know what is was or that it even existed...

Now I know what I'm saving up for. :P

Unless @Pako beats us to it. I know he knows, and if he doesn't... he does now.[/COLOR]

So, that Titan Z. Gotta say, I'm honestly considering it.

*Checks* Okay, I've posted in here so I'm not a complete moron for posting something off-topic.
Don't even consider it at current price. I imagine 20nm Maxwell will come out this year and if AMD also release 20nm GPUs then I can imagine price for Titan Z dropping very fast.

If 20nm is due this year it won't be until November at the earliest as volume production has only just begun, granted a month ahead of schedule from what I understand but it's still a far way off in the distance.

And I highly doubt anything Maxwell or Pirate Islands is going to affect Titan Z as they wouldn't even be targeting the same demographic. If the rumors of a 790 ring true then I'll wait and see what that brings.

...And now this is a discussion in the wrong thread.

I'll have to wait quite a while before buying more things for my desktop... At the moment I need to change the chipset, since it's one from 2008. It runs the AMD processors up to quad core, but I want to run an intel i7 on it by next year. And whilst the 560Ti is capable, I'd rather stick a GTX 770 on it. Better look into this titan Z as well!

hmmm... Almost completely off topic now...

Well since my new computer is finally working I can post the specs. Its not even close to being a monster system but it will play Rust and DayZ so thats fine.

CPU: AMD FX6300
RAM: 8GB 1600Mhz
GPU: Radeon R9 270X
PSU: Corsair 600W 80 plus bronze
Storage: 120GB SSD (going to buy a 1TB HDD sometime soon)
OS: Win 7 64 bit

That is exactly what I want to get myself when my car is ready...

How does it handle DayZ?

Yes, I do know but have been purposefully trying to ignore my obsession in being more in the know. We all know that once I am in the know, I can't say no. ;)

Specs from the PC I built last month:

AMD Athlon Multi Core Processor AD760KWOHLBOX, 760K Richland 3.8...
Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS (CX600)
Rosewill Black SECC Steel USB 3.0 Mid Tower Computer Case REDBON...
Gigabyte R7 260X GDDR5-1GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP OC Graphics Card (GV-R7...
GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XM-HD3 FM2+ AMD A88X (Bolton D4) HDMI SATA 6Gb/...
Kingston Value RAM 4GB 1600MHz PC3-12800 DDR3 Non-ECC CL11 DIMM
HGST 500GB HDD
Windows 7 64-Bit
Lite-On Optical Drive

Custom built desktop PC with 4 or 5 year old parts running linux mint 64bit

My web browsers and email programs work great on it :-)

Little addition to my collection, bought a 2011 Vaio off a friend:

i3-2330M 2.2GHz 2C/4T
4GB DDR3-1333
ADATA XPG SX900 256GB SSD (replaces 500GB Seagate Momentus)
Win 7 64

Replaces the old Hewlett-Packard dv5-series that I bought in 2009:
AMD Athlon X2 QL-64 2.1GHz 2C/2T
2GB DDR2
250GB WD
Mobility Radeon HD3450
Win 7 32

The HP has a chronic overheating issue where the "high performance" power mode causes the CPU to overheat - 100C - and shut down for thermal reasons inside two minutes of 50+% load. It runs at safer temps on power saver/balanced, but that's more down to the fact those modes are set to run the CPU at a lower speed... which, as that processor only has two permissible speed states, means it runs at 1092MHz and is subsequently about as useful as using a sieve for a beer mug.

The Sony is absurdly quick by comparison and gets about three times the battery life to boot!

My new spec laptop:

CPU: Intel i7 Haswell 4810MQ, clocked to 3.7GHz
RAM: 2x Kingston Hyper-X Genesis 1600MHz DDR3 8Gb
GPU: NVidia GTX 880M 8Gb
Screen: 15.6" Matt Screen 1920x1080
Storage: 750Gb WD Scorpio Black 7200rpm HDD
Optical Drive: BluRay Writer with DVD-RW Drive

My first upgrade for this will be doubling the RAM and then I will be adding an mSATA to it (in about a year)

I know it is not a AW since they discontinued the M15x. Clevo?
