What are your thoughts on Special Stage Route 7?

I don't see any of them in the GT5 version though,

Didn't notice that there are some there. I'll try to fire up GT5 sometime and see if there really is.

Maybe there are some of them and my settings are just too dark. But for now, thanks for the heads-up.

Guys -> SSR5 '10 IS INCOMPLETE!!! PD stated (on the image) the they forgot the bridge!!! :indiff:

^ But in the overall aspect of things; I need to upload a comparison pics between SSR11 '90s, '00s, SSR5/CSR5 '90s, and '10s. But first, I have to go to work now. ;)

GT5's SSR 5 is not related to GT1-4, the "PD City" is re-developed

After the tunnel, the city shape already rebuild as other thing. before the Y junction (the joint to define SSR5 or Clubman Stage 5).

In the past, Left side the track should have a wall to fix neutral landscape.
now these section have rebuild as highway.

Also the hairpin bridge have removed and there built a lot of building.

after the haipin, these road section already rebuild as other things.

********************

My actual "incomplete" means the modelling have some lazy modelling issue (object incomplete) Please notice my Lazy modelling point, there are miss a Road surface, but road edge is complete.

the S-Curve before the Hairpin, inside dark place is NO polygon there.

SSR5 and SSR7 they have a lot issue about that...

*********************

I would like invite a guy to help us to recoard a compare video between SSR5 of GT1-5

I think the 3 Special Stages are united because as i say in a GT3 thread you can see a bridge like the Special Stage Route 7 in SS11 in the first corner so if that really is that bridge it will make sense a track with all of them. And i agree that SSR7 is not complete because if these bridges are the same SSR7 should have a lot more things around it.

By the way... SSR7 have a lot of point to connect to SSR5...

At least the first corner set, there are over cross section.

There have a lot road to could possible connect then... (SSR5 just show a little junction...)
BTW, the SSR7 bug already let me understand this track, maybe done in a week...

Any thought of SSR7 and SSR5 just are childhood thinking. Unless PD wanna build a city like PS2 "Rigde Race V" Ridge City in seriously.

If PD still remaster this track for GT6, I hope in future they apply a complete patch for SSR5 and SSR7 for GT5.

This is one of my favorites. Online racing with real players make this track a great one. If you don't believe me run 1 to 5 lap races and one model or make races with about 5 to 10 people a real great track. Sure it could use a little more back ground but still a great track.

Midnight Snacks -> Cute isn't it? :sly:

BT -> Ok, I've taken multiple screenshots of SSR5 and SSR11 from GT1, GT3, GT4, & GT5 with a total of 264 pics.

-> I painstakingly took pictures from my Canon SD960 IS, on which took me 6 hours to make it posssible. Its already uploading on my Picasa account as I post at this moment. :)

-> Here are some previews:

^ I can't find my GT2! But since I have GT1, they're pretty much the same overall. :)

^ I'll be back for a detailed reviews & comparison. Thanks! :)

The track's North orientation does not seem to be compatible with SSR7 however (I already did a similar check in the past months, although I could have reached wrong conclusions).
Also we would have seen the SSR11 ferrys wheel from SSR7, if the track was in its vicinity.

^ But the walls in SSR7 are so high that even if there is a possibility that there was R11's ferrys wheel, we wouldn't be able to see it. And also because the ferry is on the other end of the track too (wall + distance = -X- )... :indiff:

-> I'll be back for a complete analysis, I have to go to bed. (it's 3:50am here! :scared: )

Or the track is incomplete. The SS11 wall are high but you can see the towers.

To tell the truth, I would have expected to see the ferris wheel in SSR7 like at minute 2:50 in this video:

^ Not as high as SSR7, at least you can see some surrounding landscape in R11 not in R7. Plus Highway 7's bridge towers are epicly tall IMO. :indiff:

-> And by the way, SSR11 is not an incomplete track. Play GT3 and it shows, compared to SSR7. ;)

^ I know, but seeing that the Ferry is on the other end of SSR11. And unlike the vid you showed us, the wall is like car/minivan height, in SSR7 on the other hand is higher than any double-decker busses!!! :)

You can't see the entire tower can you?

^ Back when the Money Glitch was on SSR7, I participated in one (just for kicks). And I saw the dimentions of these towers itself and it is THAT tall. There was like few hundreds of feet BELOW Highway 7.

I wonder why doesn't PD just call these tracks by their real names...this is clearly based off the Shutoku Highway System...is this not allowed?
The bridge = Rainbow Bridge.

What's telling in Vanishing's awesome pics is the changes of the tracks from GT1 - GT5.
If you notice, in GT5 is when they put in highway signs...so maybe they are planning a "city" stage or something.

SSRB (bayshore) :sly:

Personally I wished the just made it straight so i can test any cars real speed. The road at points has some curves which I hate because if I'm going at 250MPH and can hit the brakes soon enough I just go head first into a wall.

Anyways I would love SS11 to come back... I loved it because of how complicated it was.

That i didn't know. And Urmie I think that bridge seems more like Yokohama bay bridge that the rainbow bridge. It doesn't change colors.

Wow... Looking back at page 1... Your guys improvement on what might actually happen is astonishing... Great thread... Its amazing how 3 tracks can stir up so much heat... Keep the pictures/edits coming !

Although SSR7 seems easy it's quite a challenge to have a lap that is both fast and clean in time trial mode. Even the smallest bump at high speeds will invalidate it. No room for errors.

I have run SSR7 quite a few times now. My inclination is to believe that this track is the "successor" to Test Course, and part of the reason (or most of it) are the very long straights. This is more like an urban Test Course to me. I've been racing SSR7 mostly to go full speed as well as see all the pretty fireworks.

I love it, but I hate the graphic glitches, when it's raining the road flickers. The first U is bad and the first tunnel is horrid with the walls flashing. Makes me sad, as it's great fun to drive supercars on a deserted highway.
