Does anyone have any suggestions for a good college to go to if you want to become part of videogame designing team? Thats the profession I would like to chose and I figured that now (while I'm 15) would be a good time to start considering some colleges that possibly offer courses in that field. Thanks in advance.

digipen in vancouver, ca. i think it is there. this is the only actual school that trains for video game programmers. other than this, you would go get a computer science degree at any other good school.

Yeah i think this is the place im thinking of. A few weeks ago they were talking about this school on tv. Saying that theres a waiting period just to get in the school. And that you really do work your butt off at that place.

yup. they are a well recognized school, and so many people want to go there. i think they also only have a few spots a year.

i learned about them because there was an article about them in EGM. maybe you read that. it says the school is really hard, and (whatever percent) of people drop out after the first semester. But i think some of that is attributed to the type of people that get in there. All of the pictures had mountain dew drinking colored hair nerd freaks. The kind of kids that had "the matrix" change their life. I dont really know what to think of it all...............

That art college in California has courses. Forgot the name... Art Institute or something like that...

Try emailing various game makers( http://www.ea.com/ etc). Tell them how old you are and ask them what qualifications they look for. Ask where people who work for them got their start. Check with your high school guidance counselor.

Drop out of school and play more games. Whenever you play a crappy one, write to the game developer and tell them that game sucked, but if they hired you, their next game would be wicked-cool. Guaranteed to work...
