What did you buy today?

IMO, everyone of those M3s have been epic. I have driven everyone of those apart from the E30 M3 - and I don't think there's less spirit in any of them. Even in the E92, the car is just amazing.

Also same to the Civics (everyone apart from the FD2) and I actually like the EP3 the best though the EK9 is just as good.

And they absolutely are epic ...no question or argument about that. My brother had a E92 and only a fool would turn it down for not being "real". But there is something about the simplicity of the E30 that is attractive. Once in a while I see a red E30 325is and those E30s look as good today as they did back then. Still my first choice would be the E46 ...which is the one I am targeting for my first M car (the prices are becoming too attractive to ignore).

R33 ugly? Seriously? Its strange cause I bought it about 3 days ago with my new account and had a moment to reflect. I feel that the R33 is the last "real" GTR ...much in the same way people say the E30 M3 was the last "real" M3 ...and the EK Type R the last "real" Type R.

The R33 looks serious ...no sexy curves and swooping lines here ...its a "man's car" and proudly proclaims it! For me its among the ultimate Q-Cars ...second in my list only to the E34 M5. To me the R34 is too curvy and feminine ...and heavy. The R34 is the best in design as it combines the hard(ish) looks of the R33 with some of the curves of the R34. Still, of the lot I would choose the R33 everyday of the week and twice on the Sunday.

But I can understand that its not everybodies cup of tea. There are people, afterall, who think the E30 M3 and the E34 M5 are ugly. To me they are amongst the pick of the bunch.

On topic: Bought a Ford Mustang V8 GT Coupe Premium '07 yesterday because I wanted to give it yet another chance to change my bad impression of it. I painted it Matt Black, threw on Gold Rims and a Carbon hood and I must say, it looks EPIC! Its amazing how the right look can change your view on a car ...I am actually starting to "get it" now. Still prefer the Camaro though ...

Oh and R33 FTW!!!

The R33 is not a good looking car. Period. That "mans car" thing is not really a valid argument, with all my respect. But they say that beauty is within the eye of the beholder. For example, I love the BMW M5 E60 despite being one of the ugliest cars that BMW has ever produced, and I see beauty in that car that probably no one does.

That doesn't mean I hate the R33. The R33 like any other GTR is a great machine. I personally find the R32 and R34 to be better looking, being the R32 my favorite. Also, I don't see how the R33 could be the last true GTR since the R34 follows the exact same formula. If one could be considered the last GTR, that would be the R34, since the R35 is a completely different car when it comes to engine, technollogy and it doesn't even use a Skyline as its "host" anymore since, as you know, the Skyline brand shifted to the more generic FM plataform.

And I'm sorry, as a big BMW fan I must say that the E30 isn't the last "true" M3. It was the first M3, and although it was a great car, every single M3 after that took the same formula to a higher level, and the one after, and so on.

Even the newest E92 being more civilized and heavier, is still a magnificent machine and kept the spirit and escence of a true sports car during times where other cars turned into automated rolling computers that lost that "driver-machine" connection. Respecting M's motto of having a high rev, naturally aspirated, 100HP per-litre engine and the availability of a manual transmission, I would consider that it is the E92 not only the last true M3, but probably one of the last true M cars and true sport cars of our times.

Ok, I am thoroughly embarassed. For some reason I thought we were talking about the R32 but seeing everything I wrote, I referred to the R33. My apologies ...I thought you said R32. It is the R32 I was defending ...definately not the R33. On that one I agree ...it is not attractive at all.

On the BMW thing I hear what you are saying but will still prefer the E30 and E46 ...the former for its mechanical simplicity and overall competence (and age too) and the latter because well, beauty, as you say, is in the eyes of the beholder.

No needs to feel embarrassed. It happens. At least we agree that the R32 is the best looking GTR 👍

I personally prefer the E36. For some reason I'm in love with that gen of the 3 series/M3. The E30 has it's own spirit because of what you say, its simplicity and competence. The E46 is simply a beast, and probably the best handling M3 ever.

An orange, white and blue X2010 to complete my Power Ranger team :dopey:

Nice team you got there, I used to watch them when I was a kid. :dopey:

Hahaha thanks! I used to watch it too and as I got bored and didn't know what to do with my money I decided to save up to buy some X2010's. Then after buying the first three cars I thought it would be cool to create something like this.

The world will come to an end... I bought yet ANOTHER Nissan. That's three Nissans in the past couple of days.

I now decided to give the S15 Silvia a try. Not a bad car for 250HP. It isn't great, but it isn't bad at all. Well ballanced little 4 banger that goes straight when you tell it to go straight, and sideways when you tell it to go sideways. It's too bad that manufacturers don't make cars like this anymore.

I'm scared. I already have 15 Nissans in my garage without even noticing it. I'll have to buy a couple of European or American cars to redeem my soul now...

LOL! I tried the S15 a couple of weeks ago and instantly liked it. It is a very obedient car which is surprising considering that its loved by the drifting crowd. I have a stock one and one tuned to 500 PP. At 500 PP it makes for an amazing grip car and I especially like doing the Japanese Championships with it. While the NSX Type R keeps up with me, the S15 obliterates the rest. But stock is where most of the fun is to be had. Very nice car and love the fact that Nissan kept its weight relatively low.

This morning while having coffee before leaving for work I bought and test drove a Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX Version S TwinTurbo 2seater '98 ...the Z32. I have never bought one before and was sold by the ingame description of the car. First impressions, gained through 2 laps at the Nordschleif, are not good ...not good at all! For me this is probably the worst stock Nissan I have yet driven. But I gave it over to the BOB Squad to break in at GV in the hope that maybe I am wrong about the car. I will find out later I guess ....

Does yesterday count? lol

I made my own touge track on Toscana. Practiced on it with my 180SX. I have the guts to say that I have mastered the track. Then I bought a Starlet V Glanza. I went to the tuning forum, and read everything. From transmission settings to suspension. It turned out to be the perfect car for my track. It understeers no more! I officially fell in love with that car. Just a few more adjustments and it will be the perfect touge car. IMO

Yeah, I expected the S15 to be extremely tail happy, but after doing the academy seasonals I was very impressed with the grip and whith how neautral the car is. I had to buy one and do some tweeks to it. The end result was extremely satisfactory.

The Z32 has been one of my personal favorite cars of all times, and I dreamed of it when I was a kid. The car, even the '89 one, still turns heads 20 years after. However, with the looks is where all ends. I bought the ´89 Premium one and although I love the car, I feel that the performance could be much better. This is one of the few cars that I've been forced to put the sports suspension in it because the stock is terribly soft. I did the weight reduction 1 and improved some things in the engine so the car ended up with a healthy 330HP. It feels nice, but it could be better. I'm thinking that PD didn't emulate it's performance correctly. Anyway, it's suposed to be a high end Grand Tourer and not really a performance machine.

Bought a Ford Mark IV yesterday or the day before that and put Praiano's tune on it for a drive today. Otherwise, a second copy of the Tokyo Motor Show GT-R as everything that came up in the UCD was already owned.

Mark IV is a hoot to drive ... even with four gears. Great sound: especially when you drop back to the trailing view. It's also the first car in which I have noticed that the "above bonnet" view is much lower than usual. Normally with this view, you feel like you're driving a truck it's so high off the ground. With the Mark IV though, the view is almost at the height of bumper cam.

I bought a 908 HDI a few days ago,the Total Team Peugeot one.

I bought this car a few weeks ago too. I quite like it, although my times around Trial Mountain in the Toyota 88C and the Mazda 787B are well ahead of the 908 HDI. I'm thinking of taking it into the Le Mans 24hr endurance race.

Today I bought a
Dodge Viper GTS
McLaren F1 GTR Race Car
Mazda RX-8 Concept LM Race Car
Volkswagen Golf V GTI
Mine's BNR34 Skyline N1
Premium Honda Raybrig NSX
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR
