What did you do in FM23 today?

So, the career mode is still ****ing broken!
And the multiplayer is still ****ing broken.
****** *ing pile of ****ing rubbish turdza turdasport... i literally can't play this ****ing game. The patch next week had better fix this * or I'm hoping this game gets a review bombing like GT7 did.

I literally cannot remember playing a game as ****ed up as this one is right now.
Last week I was unable to save quick upgrades and the game was crashing to the home screen on my XSX every time. As WRC had launched I decided to give Forza a rest for a few days. When I returned to it on Sunday it did the same so I factory reset my console (but chose Reset and keep my games & apps). Forza has been fine ever since and the console's performance appears to have improved too. The only "loss" is in "My Games" it can no longer list them by "Last Played" beyond last Sunday. Worth a try?

I'm not having any problems with the game. I don't have Gold so no online but everything fine. Are you closing the game after a session or the save state method?

Just yesterday I completed the Featured Events in Career Mode to obtain the Acura, in spite of being hit with the progression bug. However, it wasn't too severe, and thus managed to finish it. Hopefully it gets sorted when the new update comes out.

I tried to set up a '60s F1 quick race series, sitting in the front row of the first race was a 2017 Ferrari 812. The rest of the field were in '60s F1 cars. At first I thought oh cool, we have a pace car, wait, what??? Now I know Ferrari would do anything to win an F1 race, but that was actually funny.

Frantically completed the Open Tour before the Audi R8 prize car goes away on Wednesday. Wish I knew how to get 5 cups though. Completing the reward showcase race isn't it.

I think all the prize cars apart from the Acura are supposed to go into Autoshow afterwards, but at least this is guaranteed 100% to get you the car.

Which is why I did the tour ending in the JDM series yesterday, just in case, exiting after every race and hoping that it doesn't reset afterwards. (I've 6 trophies in the Open Tour and the reward car, but the game progression bug has reset two series to the opening event)

I still have the Vintage tour and the US tour left to do, if the game behaves itself.

As for 5 cups, you only get 4 cups per tour. The showcase gets you a green medal instead which you can see in the last tab after you do the race. But if you redo a series it gives you a new trophy every time you complete it. I'm not sure whether this is intended or not though...

EDIT Just seen the X post in the other thread saying that the Audi disappears altogether next week. I think the 3 cars from the "permanent tours" will remain in Autoshow, but who knows what the **** is going on anymore...

That’s the full discount obtained for Chevy. Got the C8 to Level 50. I bought all the Chevy cars at around 100K or less on the off-chance the more expensive ones may come up as Spotlight cars (not that they have changed recently). Using that method I now have around 150 or so of the cheaper cars or DLC cars.

Won the tour.
Got the Audi.
Saved the le Mans replay.
Exited the tour.

Went back into Career. Still two races to go.

Still have the Audi.
Still have the replay.

Well done, Turn 10! 🤣

The game must like my system or I have good fortune apparently. 35 hours of gameplay so far and I've experienced a total of One crash to desktop and One being stuck on a save screen.
I've played the game long enough to finish all but one of the tours but have avoided the multiplayer so far. I also seem to have avoided the issues which plague so many others. I'm sure my opinion will change if I ever lose my save progress but aside from certain issues I have with the game design and variety of content or lack thereof I haven't encountered anything which'd cause it to do so, so far.

I maxed out more cars to get my affinity discounts up and now I have Chevy, Ford, Ferrari, McLaren, Nissan, Porsche, and Toyota all at 25% and I just need about 20 more levels in my Aventador SVJ and Lamborghini will be at 25% as well. Next up are Dodge (10%), BMW (10%), and Lotus (10%). I also plan on maxing out Audi and Mazda but haven’t even started on those two just yet. So the grind to get every car is in progress but has awhile to go still. Still no AFK grinding or money glitches involved.

Well, I finally completed the Track Tour and got the Acura, and I'm happy that I finally found my groove in the game during the Prototype Power races, because that's the kind of cars I have never enjoyed in FM (and other racing games). Now I know I will keep playing the game and it will hopefully get better over time. Can't wait for the major update.

After I found out that the Class Series will reset in 2 days, I completed everything but the last two S Class races, which I will do tomorrow morning.

My weapons:
  • Lynk & Co for C
  • Ford Focus RS for B
  • C8 FE for A
  • R390 for S

Need to keep this in mind for the next update.

Took my '70 Challenger to the B class Open, since it was already there from the previous series I had bought it for, mopped up some sad BMWs and hit level 50. Then I took my starter Mustang which was already tuned for A class, used that to mop up a bunch of sad Mercs and Audis and got that up to level 50 as well.

I think I might actually beat them at their own game with the S Class Open, since i have an Audi e-tron sitting here and I'm pretty sure just a tire and brake upgrade will be enough to push it into S (and hopefully cure that vicious corner entry understeer).

I reached max affinity with Chevrolet. I wish that the upgrade points were transferable, because a level 50 car has enough points to be maxed out almost twice over.

Started on that Whistler Roush Racing Mustang DLC car. I ”removed” the restrictor (no points) which gave a nice horsepower boost. With no other upgrades the car seemed extremely sensitive to steering inputs (Series X with Controller). Fortunately wider rear wheels, rear wing with full aero calmed things down somewhat. I have yet to see how the race tyres I have now fitted work out.

I have been leveling up Ford cars, the Mustang SVO was a pleasant surprise and more fun than the Cobra to me. I like to use the open tour to grind levels over Rivals, it's just fun running down exotics with whatever jalopy I cobble together.

I’m now over 50 cars at level 50, woohoo! I’m trying to prioritize cars with widebody kits, so I maxed out and widened the FD RX-7, Audi R8, and BMW M3. I also maxed out my Dodge Challenger Demon, Charger Daytona, and Jaguar E-Type.

I discovered with the RX-7 that you can turbo the 787b engine when it’s a swap but not the actual 787b. I wouldn’t mind a turbo 787b but it’s apparently not meant to be in this game. I went with the body kit with all the front splitters and canards and the big wing and after all the upgrades it did drive quite like a race car.

The Daytona definitely needed help in the handling department, which should have been expected, but the Corvette C2 and E-Type both pleasantly surprised me with their handling so I wasn’t sure how the Daytona would compare but it is in a different league despite being in the same age range and being very close to a race car itself.

That’s the new content done! The game lost sound toward the end of the session which was odd. Restarting the game sorted it.

Round one of our club Formula Mazda series at Catalunya National Alt, love that version, host had some problems with the lobby settings so it ended up being a 50 lap sprint race with no fuel or tire use, other than that once we got going it went without a hitch. Other than the leader having his internet take a dump (not related to Forza or Microsoft, issue on his end) on lap 37 allowing second place to inherit the lead, too bad as we were having a helluva battle for basically the whole race and had pulled about 25 seconds away from 3rd.

Got pole in class B multiplayer. Was quite concerned as I'm not very often at the front.

Didn't have to worry though, game crashed while waiting on the grid.
Ah yes, that unnerving feeling you get when you're waiting to see if you get freight trained or not...

Completed the Featured Understeer series today in the discounted Vantage. Actually once it got improved handling on levelling up, the understeer was less of an issue.

Also used my level 30s 1983 Golf in the Espada/Dino Class C series in the Open Tour. Plan to get that up to level 50 next time I'm on.

Used the '19 Vantage I already previously driven in Career Mode for the featured series and got it up to Level 45, closest car I have to 50 now.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to have S Class cars on Yas Marina's South Circuit instead of the full Grand Prix course needs a smack upside the head. Rest of the series was pretty fun though.

Bought the Toyota TS040 for the Prototype Power championship and almost wiped the floor with it. I won 4 out of 5 races really easily and was second in the last race. I thought I'd suffer a huge deal of pain but the car is soo easy to drive, especially compared to the Ginetta and the Porsche. I also did the Track Day championship and won the Acura ARX-05 as I'd completed all the events in the Track Tour. I then did the showcase event for the Acura and ended up 4th because the AI are roadblocks and slow down where you don't expect.

Raced the '13 Vantage multiplayer...

You know, when the game and people playing it works, it's so, so good!

3rd lap and I was 4th, front of a group of three.
Guy in the middle braked late, clipped my rear, I started spinning.

3rd guy in our group hit my nose to stop me spinning (was very clear he did it intentionally), and got a 0.5 second penalty.
The 'instigator' backed off, slotted in behind us, I dropped in behind my saviour, and the three of us had a great 5 lap battle thereafter. I finished 5th.

Absolutely fantastic!
