What did you do in GT7 today?

On the GTP account, I decided to try some different cars at Tokyo. The engine-swapped 2003 BMW M3 has plenty of range, but is too unstable. The Mazda Atenza Gr.3 Road Car doesn't have the pace, which rules out the other Gr.3/Gr.B road cars without tuning. I settled on the 2015 AMG Mercedes-AMG GT-S, and had to block Kokubun for the win on a 1-stop (FM1/lap 8) win in 28:01. The 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible/lowest-showing 5,000 Cr.

On the Plus account, the only stock cars I hadn't tried that are in the PP range are too heavy, so I went light with the X-Bow, which surprisingly I hadn't done with the Plus account, and did a normal no-stop win. The insulting 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 10,000 Cr., which wasn't enough to get the 2007 RUF CTR3 and still have enough cash to get all the used/Hagerty's cars that are less than the CTR3's 900,000 Cr. Brand Central price.

Spent some time turning my LM swapped Focus RS into a Gr.4 of sorts - the charm of a swapped car for me is the wolf in sheep's clothing facade, retaining sports tyres; so I've not gone with any irreversible mods, purely bolt ons.

That said, a bit of aero, suspension/diff work and a set of Racing Hards turn the swapped Focus into an absolute demon at around 650PP. The switch to a Gr.4 config was motivated by the search for improved braking performance (as all swapped cars are terrible in this regard) - the thinking was that slicks might improve retardation. There was an improvement but degradation was noticeably worse than non-swapped cars, let alone actual Gr.4s.

Nevertheless, I used it to run the WTC700 at Brands and Le Sarthe for easy dosh.

I did some long testing on both Nissan GR.4 cars for tyre wear at Deep Forest (GTWS prep)

Made a livery for the Silvia:

And finally got around to uploading my (old WR) best time on National B-8 License test:

I have beaten it since but I'm kind of lazy with the uploading and video editing as I'm not exactly a streamer.

Finished up a few trophies, the stiffening one, dirt races which I despise and the 100 laps of time trials. The time trial was kinda fun to grind, took my tomahawk x to the super speedway, under 8 seconds a lap, took less than 10 minutes to get my last 44 laps I needed.

Only 4 to go to the platinum.

Hello !

I finished cafe mode and the last races were the most interesting in all cafe mode. I don't really like gr3, I prefer H-box cars but I've never seen AI so fast!
I thought it was because I had the RCZ and it might not be performing well.

Until I got to the holy of holies, the nordschleife, I was sure to put them in misery.

I managed to be first in the second and last lap struggling hard since the first two were very fast (just before the long straight), I was sweaty since for the FIRST TIME, two AI stuck behind my ass.

Except that when braking at the end of the straight line the ai hits me head on, as if I didn't exist and I find myself doing infinite whirlwinds while the ai continues calmly

Besides, I was holding the steering wheel with rage and the ffb of my fanatec 2.5 almost hurt me because of the impact against the safety barrier ...

Anyway so the AI on this last event (GR 3 on all circuits) was very fast but at the same time completely blind, I felt like I was playing another game.

By the way I tried again to do a custom race on the nordschleife in professional GR3 and the ai was much slower.
Like they changed the ai for the last event (which encompasses all 800pp races) that's weird, others had the same impression?

Bought the 918 and tuned it to it's max which seems to be around 782 PP. Just won Sardegna with 4 pit stops.
It's a really sweet car to drive.

Edit - Also wanted to ask if the Lambo Veneno is worth the cash? Just got an invitation to buy it.

I bought the Lamborghini Diablo and added it to my 1999 JGTC Suzuka Custom Race grid...

I won the money for it by doing the Le Mans WTC 700 race, but could only finish 2nd, albeit in bizarre circumstances. It rained so heavily that I spun and crashed twice (on Inters) and the 2nd time I also got whacked by an AI car which also took a massive lead. The track dried out and stayed on Inters but there was no chance of a win as my Inters were fading fast... so much so that I spun it again near the end of the lap and dropped to 6th place. However, all the AI cars pitted, and I stayed out on shot tyres, but the timer ticked over to 30 mins just as I approached the line, and so I reclaimed 2nd place as everyone else was in the pit lane except the leader ... I then did the race again and it rained even harder, but I was much more careful this time around and won easily.

In my opinion it is a waste of credits. I used it twice and will probably never use it again. The Aventador Superveloce is not only cheaper, but also faster around the tracks for me and more enjoyable to drive. I’d even pick the Aventador LP700 over the Veneno.

So on the original account , we took the Bugatti VGT to Sardegna. FM6 all the way. Thought we'd get away with not pitting, but it wouldn't rotate fully through the chicane at the top of hill, side hitting the barrier on the left on lap 13, so pitted for tyres. Easy win really.
3 star ticket of dispondency gave 5000 credits. What can you say?

On the new account, completed menu book 29, PanAm championship, with the 2006 Ford GT and book 30, upgrading the Porsche 911 gt3 that I won for the PanAm. The 4 star menu ticket was 10,000 credits, the lowest on the table and the 3 star Daily workout ticket was 5000. Pretty poor day all round on the roulette.
Spent an hour at LeMans on time trial with the Sauber Mercedes. Yesterday, had my fastest lap ever of 3:17:7**. There was more in it. Today, could barely get round 3 laps at all. Same tune as yesterday, just wasn't happening. Must've been me. Change up on corner exit, power down, oversteer into the barrier. No idea why. Pushing too hard? Dunno. We try again.

On the GTP account, I took the Porsche Carerra GT to Sarthe (after fitting the required tires, getting 690.86 on RH and an otherwise-stock setup), and did a 2-stop dry laugher. The first 3-lap stint was with FM6, and I barely had enough fuel to make it to the pits after setting a 4:22 lap 2. I cranked the FM up to 4 for stint 2, and after seeing how much fuel I had left at the end of lap 5, cranked it up a notch more to 3. Despite whacking the inside guard rail coming onto Mulsanne on lap 7 as the RH tires started to give up, that was my fast lap at 4:17.6, and I plowed through the race in 31:21.

The result...er...insulting all-cash 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible/lowest-showing 5,000 Cr. At least I'll have enough for the (likely 302-c.i.) Dior Mangusta next week Friday, and enough for the GT40 before it sells out in a few days.

On the Plus account, I splurged for intermediate and wet tires on the Isle of Man car, and did pretty much the same thing at Sarthe. It wasn't bone-dry, but the rain didn't affect things enough to put on intermediates either. The first stint had a 1:21.7 lap 2 on FM6 and barely enough fuel to make it 3 laps. The second 2-lap stint was on FM4, and the final 2-lap stint on FM3 saw a DRS-aided fast lap of 4:11.8, for a 7-lap total of 31:19. As an aside, that was the first time I saw a "DRS" indicator on the in-game HUD.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible/lowest-showing 10,000 Cr. I took the opportunity to get the RUF CTR3, and I now have every car worth under 1,000,000 Cr. on the Plus account, or at least the credits to buy the remaining 8 as they show back up in the UCD/Hagerty's.

Drove the Abarth 500 on Goodwood, the Porsche 911 GT3 996 on Fuji and the Ferrari F430 on Dragon Trail. 3 very different cars that each provided a unique and fun experience, which I think is a testament to the physics in this game. At least from my perspective on a controller.

The full race sim - 51 laps, 1 mandatory pit stop (driver change), rain throughout the race, and set on Professional Level AI (but on Intermediate game difficulty). This would net just over 97,000 Cr. for 2 hours of hard racing, though Cr. grinding is absolutely not the point of this, it would be nice to get a decent payout for the investment of time required.

Future work: Swap out the Supra RZ and the Nissan Skyline R34 for GT500s... I need at least 2 more of each to complete a 'minimum' grid, though in 1999 there was in fact 7 Supras, 5 Skylines and 4 NSXs on the grid. The NSX is the only car that can be purchased in the game at any time. A few liveries are not quite right - the Esso livery is wrong, and I think the GT300 BMW is already wrong, but the rest are pretty close.

-

Ultimately I would like 3 races per circuit:

1. GT500 race - all GT500 cars from the 1999 JGTC season
2. GT300 race - all GT300 cars from the 1999 JGTC season
3. JGTC race - both GT500 and GT300 cars

1999 JGTC GT500 cars, teams and liveries: (bold are "must have" cars...)

Honda NSX - 4 [Castrol (Mugen Dome), Takata (Mugen Dome), Raybrig (Kunimitsu w/ Mooncraft), Mobil 1 (Najakima Racing) (or ARTA for 2000)]
Toyota Supra - 7 [Castrol (Tom's) x2, Denso (Sard), FK/Massimo (Cerumo), cdma One (Cerumo w/ Key's), Matsukiyo (Tom's), Esso (Le Mans)]
Nissan Skyline - 5 [Pennzoil (Nismo), Calsonic (Impul), Unisia Jecs (Hasemi), Autobacs Zexel (Nismo)*, Endless] (*or ARTA for 1998)
Chrysler Viper - 1
Lamborghini Diablo - 1
McLaren F1 GTR - 1

* For JGTC race, I'd like to have all 6 types of GT500 model/car, so I'd go with 3x NSX/Supra/Skylines 1x Viper/Diablo/F1 GTR + 8 GT300s, or drop the non-Japanese cars and go 4x NSX/Supra/Skylines.

First attempt at Circuit Experience since getting my T300 GT a month ago. Feeling Confident. I may do other sections first before coming back, then do the Neo Classic 800 Willow Springs. I lose a lot when dropping Ghost. ABS OFF for a few runs, seemed to be closing better at end of session. First Section only.

Bought 89 Nissa to finish collection. Took my 2m cr prize for golding tt. Set good enough time for safe gold in new tt. Won Human Comedy Alsace (struggled to find fast enough and easy to drive car, in the end used detuned Ferrari 330 P4).

CE Grind day today!

Had a good gaming sesh today, I started off by checking out the new time trails on Sport mode. Tried to do the GR.4 DRAGON TRIAL Time Trial and got a decent 1min 51 secs so bit off the goal.

I then took my sweet 918 Spyder on the Tourist Full Nurburging track and was pleasantly surprised and how cool this version of the track is and how good the the Porsche handles. Even though my lap time was crappy if was fun to just poot around in this cool car.

Daily marathon mileage got me a 4 stars roullette ticket and I won a custom computer for a LC500, so I was like WTF, why?

Then I went to tackle some of the CE's in europe and went off to the Nurburging to tackle the BMW CE on the nordelschleife and managed to bump to silvers on most but still gotta a long way to go on getting gold on this monsteurous track.

Then jumped over to the GP track variation CE and slowly but steadily GOLDED all the GP track with the AMG, which I feel handles better than the boaty BMW M6, and bagged me self a good 1mil in creds. Was happy and then retired to rest.

Puca-4LD created a decal for me which I uploaded here. Then made a quick design with it found here. Took that 962C I made to RB Ring for 10 laps to get my daily. A 4 star ticket, suspension kit for the AMG Safety Car... something I'll never use.

Collected my 2 million from the Red Bull Ring online time trial, but I had to buy something first since I had 100 million already. The Bugatti Veyron was my choice since it cost 2 million exactly and I had a Bugatti invitation I received from a roulette ticket the other day.

Now, I need to prepare for the new Gr.4 online time trial at Dragon Trail. The Death Chicane awaits…😩😬

On the Plus account, after getting the 1970 Skyline and Stratos as they re-entered Hagerty's/the UCD, I did some trial and error at Sardegna. The Beetle GT3 is too slow and inefficient (can't do 5 laps on FM1, and can't keep up on FM6 on a 1-stop strategy), and I barely won with the 458 GT3 (and by barely, I passed Portilla a couple hundred feet from the finish on lap 15 on a 2-stop/tire-change on lap 10 strategy). The 5-star workout roulette gave the lowest-possible/low-showing 100,000 Cr., so unless the 1 UCD/6 Hagerty's cars that I don't have and are at or under 1,000,000 Cr. start showing up, I won't be buying for a while.

On the GTP account, I clubbed 19 baby seals, 3 of them twice, while laughing my way through Sardegna with my detuned 962 C. I almost broke the 25-minute barrier, doing the race in 25:06. The resulting 6-star marathon roulette gave the lowest-possible/2nd-lowest-showing 500,000 Cr., which gave me just enough cash to get the GT40.
