What did you do in GT7 today?

Using my newly-acquired Alpine A220 in the WTC 700, I ran my best-ever lap of 4:04.818. On FM6, it hits over 200 mph here.

Like Eggstor, I had some weird wet-weather patterns today in the 2 races I ran.

I used Exeter's 700pp tune, which is outstanding. It does seem to brake better when pre-loading the brakes a bit. It's also rock-solid in the rain.

I also hit the 50M credit mark.

We got a stay until the 23rd, so everyone kept some things at our house until then. So, I was able to get on GT7 today.

First thing I did was the Interlagos Gr.2 online time trial with my handy 2016 GT-R GT500. It took me about an hour or so to snag gold with a 1:24.7, just a tenth within the gold prize. Such a fun track, especially when you get it dead right.

Got a WR back on B6 as well as gaining a new WR for B5:

(sorry @Partymix007 who just got his time today)

On the Plus account, after finding the R32 no longer suitable for Tokyo, I used the 2013 Viper for an easy win. The 3-star marathon roulette gave something very unexpected - the highest-possible (and highest-showing) 500,000 Cr. Thanks to that, my Dodge collection is now complete with the Tomahawk Gr.1 VGT.

On the GTP account, I took the R33 out of retirement for a closer-than-it-should-have-been win at Tokyo. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the only cash prize showing - the 2nd-lowest-possible 30,000 Cr., leaving me almost 2.15 million Cr. short of the McLaren.

Done Tokyo for cash too get too over 20million cr , got my last needed invitation, for Aston Martin in the roulette, still not sure what too spend my cash on, Cobra or wait for the 250gto, not many options left, ain't buying no steenking vgt's :)

If the Hagerty's reset rotation is what it appears to be, it's going to be quite a while before the 250 GTO comes back.

Ran another WTC700 at LeMans with the Alpine. Got drizzled on for a few minutes, then dry the rest of the way.

Love the car.

And got another 30k from the wheel of silliness.

Did the Time Trial at Interlagos. Currently 2-tenths inside the Gold time. Plus a quick go at the Sardegna WTC 800 event. An easy 750k with the 787B.

Had a terrible race A in which I got lapped by the first four drivers and was forced to end my race on lap 11; oh well.

Then I spent a few hundred km to get a silver on the time trial, which is I think the most difficult one for me yet.

As a reward I bought the Lamborghini in the LCD and drove it around in cockpit view with a shifter and no HUD: always the best way to end a long GT session.

Had my dream come true after grinding credits so hard. After buying 10 MP4/4s and 8 F1500T-As (since I have two already acquired via the roulette ticket and missions) I was able to recreate this grid. I chose McLaren, Lotus, Williams, Arrows, and Tyrell to have the MP4/4s while the rest (Ferrari, Benetton, Larrousse, Leyton House, and Minardi) are using the F1500T-A and I'm glad that the community has the liveries I needed done.

Did two test races and already I was very satisfied with the results as seeing a grid filled with MP4/4s and F1500T-As together made me happy.

I may do more tests before doing actual races but right now its looking good for me.

Took the Zagato to Trial Mountain for the Hypercar race, but could only manage second (after the Vulcan). Lovely drive though.

@Stephan - fantastic job! Well done!

You madman!

For me, I did more multi-class races with Gr 3/4 and got 100k from a 5 Star. Any amount of money helps towards the McLaren.

Not been on for a while so on the Original account, I took the Toyota GR010 to Sardegna using a tune from Naffantait on YouTube. Just over 25 minutes. Lapped up to 6th twice. Fastest lap 1:36:6. 1 stop for tyres and a top up at the end of lap 8.. The 3 star Daily workout ticket of dispondency gave me 10000 credits. Went to see Mr Hagerty today to see what he had for sale. Do I wanna drop 20 mill on the Shelby Daytona coupe?. Certainly not dropping 11 million on the Mclaren.

On the 2nd account, won the GT championship with the WRX Gr3.
The menu ticket revealed the Honda NSX GT500 08.. Yeah man.
3 star Daily workout ticket revealed 5000. Why bother?
This week's Discord group race is due to be the Spanish GP at Catalunya, but seems online lobbies don't allow nitrous/overtake usage. Does anyone know a work around?. I'm wondering if there's something I've not done correctly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Magic stuff @Stephan ...it's just a pity that it is so difficult to obtain the cars needed to do this, when the game is so clearly capable of being used in this way i.e. in a fun and creative manner that lets you use the game the way you've always wanted to. I'm currently working on a similar project, a full 1999 JGTC grid, and it already looks and feels great. For me, one of the most obvious flaws of GT is the selection of cars that appear in so many events, creating woefully unrealistic races. The remedy is Custom Races, and I'm delighted that one can now create full grids of exact cars - but even this has been implemented somewhat awkwardly - want 20 F1 cars in a race, no problem! But they must have the exact same livery (DOH!). Oh, you want 20 cars each with a chosen livery? Then you'll have to buy separate cars for each livery. It's a bit daft, but it is at least possible... if only it were not so time-consuming to earn enough credits in order to do it. However, I can imagine that you'll have loads of fun with this set up and other similar races you can now recreate, so enjoy!!

On the Plus account, after forgetting I needed to conserve tires to make the 2008 Lexus SC430 GT500 last 8 laps at Sardegna, I did a 1-stop stomping of the field with it. The 3-star marathon roulette was mostly-kind, as the 100,000 Cr. off it is the second-highest possible, though it was also the lowest-showing. I bought the 2018 Ford GT Race Car, the first non-VGT car (not counting the Golf I's I accidentally bought) I bought in a while on that account.

On the GTP account, I used the DBR9 for the easy win at Sardegna, while the 5-star marathon roulette gave me a second 650S GT3. It's looking more likely I'll be able to get the MP4/4 before it sells out.

Done four races 2 at Tokyo 2 at Le Mans for cash too buy the Aston Martin Vulcan after spending 20 million cr on Shelby Daytona, grim the new cars too buy are dried up apart from the 250gto I want and the rest are too expensive and from the 20's n 30's and ugly vgt's with no cockpit view.

Did Tokyo twice in the Tomahawk then I bought another MR2 a Porsche and Ruff. I got upset because I didn't realize the Ruff was available in Brand Central as well a UCD. If hand known it was in Brand Central I would just bought it from there. I got some car parts for a safety car that I will never buy from my 4 star ticket 😡

On the Plus account, I used the 2006 Ford GT for an easy win at Tokyo, got a racing crank shaft for the 2017 Lexus LC500, and bought the Honda oversized go-kart.

On the GTP account, after doing a close no-stop run at Tokyo with the KTM X-BOW, I'm now only 1 grind away from the McLaren MP4/4. Naturally, the all-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair was of little help, giving me a low-showing/lowest-possible 10,000 Cr.

Two races at LeMans With the A220. First one was dry, second was normal- heavy rain starting at the end of lap 2, continuing through 5, fully dry by lap 7. Pitted for wets, then back for RH at lap 5.

Had a bit of extra time, so I ran two at Sardegna with the LM55. Due the recent update raising the pp to over 814, I had to raise the ride height and cut the power back a bit to get back under 800pp. Still a great car.

I’m over 56M now, awaiting the 787B, CLK, and the 2J.

I almost got lost on Blue Bay infield track. I set the time x30 and when it gets as dark as it gets with heavy clouds…. It get very dark. And I can see there are lights, but they just don’t switch on. Except those on the parking lots….

Made a fresher livery for my GR4 GTR, ready for the Manu race later.

This time, the sponsorship is more simplified in its areas and use, plus the rear window isn't covered this time! (Not that I use the interior view)

You mean all I have to do is turn left ?
.....................................................

It's very difficult to explain how much NASCAR means to me , for a start i'm from the UK so it's not exactly a household sport here .
My journey started in 1974 , I was 13 years old and looking for a book in a school library , anything with a engine was all I was intrested in .

Lo an behold a dontated book about NASCAR in there I had a brief learning curve about people like Richard Petty , Dale Earnhardt , Cale Yarborough e.t.c and of course the Cars .

That picture of the Petty Superbird just blew my mind it was like something out of a science fiction movie ( another intrest ) such a amazing looking car .

Fast forward to the middle 90's the WWW took off and I started searching , though articles and short video's I found out more about the Cars and the People who were and still are involved in this amazing sport .

2017 I finally flew over from the UK to my favourite track Talladega , just through that I have made many new friends and have been back 4 times so far .

So yup i'm hooked on the whole thing and this is just a short heavly edited clip of how much I love this Sport .
