What did you do in GT7 today?

Had my dream come true after grinding credits so hard. After buying 10 MP4/4s and 8 F1500T-As (since I have two already acquired via the roulette ticket and missions) I was able to recreate this grid. I chose McLaren, Lotus, Williams, Arrows, and Tyrell to have the MP4/4s while the rest (Ferrari, Benetton, Larrousse, Leyton House, and Minardi) are using the F1500T-A and I'm glad that the community has the liveries I needed done.

Did two test races and already I was very satisfied with the results as seeing a grid filled with MP4/4s and F1500T-As together made me happy.

I may do more tests before doing actual races but right now its looking good for me.

Freaking epic!!!

On the GTP account, I took the Focus rally car to Sarthe for some fine-tuning (lowered the 6th-gear ratio to make it 3 laps on fuel and put some more rear bias in the center differential to not completely melt the front tires in 5 laps) and a field-stomp (got through Indianapolis on lap 7 of a dry race before the timer ran out).

As I finally had the credits, I bought the McLaren MP4/4 out of Hagerty's as it's headed out of there Sunday night. The 4-star marathon roulette even gave something useful, or at least something I didn't already have on this account - a 2019 Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZR1.

I gave the current WRS time trial another go with the Toyota, and eventually got a slightly-faster lap.

On the Plus account, yet another attempt at an 8-lap Sarthe race with the Red Bull Junior was thwarted by rain, this time requiring a change to intermediates from RM tires on lap 5. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the usual lowest-possible/low-showing 10,000 Cr.

I tried the Red Bull Ring One Hour with my Corvette Gr.3, ended up pitting three times but got third, which is nice for a first attempt. I don't see how I can only pit once - as once driver suggests in the pre-race menu - but I definitely think I could manage pitting only twice. I got a three-star ticket that netted me 10k credits. Eh, whatever. Definitely not the biggest fan of the karts for this week's Daily Race A, either, so I'm looking forward to see what next week's Daily Race A brings. I hear it's gonna affect DR/SR again, and will feature the Honda Civic Type R '97 at Laguna Seca, with BoP enabled.

I spent an hour and got the 'gold' time in the sport mode hotlap event at Interlagos. I can see maybe another .250 based off my best sector times, so I may be able to get a 1:24.4xx(?)

Damn.. been so busy with work & life lately that I can only wish that I had more time to post what i've been up to on a "daily" basis with GT7.. It's been like 2 months since my last post, and i've done soooooo much it's not even funny.. I now have 125 cars & 3/4 of them i've either purchased or won, and built/tuned them to my own personal specs...

I'm gonna have to get into this with more detail, but for now I realized I had a nice Vette in my garage that I somehow acquired, so in typical fashion, I rocked the tune parts, painted it black and took it for a grind on Trial Mountain to attain $$$$ for the Enzo, which will be my final purchase, because quite frankly I have ALL the cars I could possibly want (maybe.. LoL).. But for now, as of late last night.. that Vette is pretty F'n fast, and don't lean on me for taking it ez, but I wanted to run clean and not smack that car all over the track, cuz at 748HP I had to keep the footsie mellow.. anyways.. i'll be back..

Built up a Silvia TC for Gr 4 races. Worked great at Le Mans and now sitting at 5 mil. I'm worried about the McLaren now because it's shown as being in limited inventory.

It's going to be sold out tomorrow night. Once a vehicle goes to limited inventory in either Hagerty's or the UCD, it sells out 2 days later.

On the Plus account, in preparation for the newest WRS time trial, I took the 2015 Audi R8 LMS to Sardegna. It was shaping up to be a formulatic win (2 stops for both tires and fuel), but I slammed the guardrail quite hard on the last lap, damaging everything but the engine. It still was a win, but not the nearly-30 seconds it should have been.

The all-cash 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing/2nd-lowest possible 10,000 Cr., which was enough to get the last Honda on the list, the Honda Sports VGT.

On the GTP account, I needed to do Sardegna to get the R8, and the RS tires, needed for the WRS. After failing with a stock Supra GT500, I grabbed my Porsche 962 C club and clubbed some baby seals.

The all-car 4-star workout roulette gave me an AMG safety car. At least I didn't already have that, and I had enough cash for the R8 LMS and the RS tires. I figured that was enough driving for one day, so I applied my standard/minimalist WRS livery to the R8 and called it.

I bought the Porsche Living Legend, great fun when slightly detuned for the WTC 800 events. Hilariously fast compared to the Gr.3s, gulps down the fuel but a 20-30 mph speed difference makes up for it.

Did a second attempt to gold the Red Bull Ring One Hour, and only pitted twice instead of three times like I did previously. I won as a result - mostly kept the FM on 4, and switched to Racing Wets soon after it began to rain. I stayed on the wets for the rest of the race, too. Also, I started on RMs, then when I had to pit for fuel, I switched to softs, as I saw the rain coming and figured I may as well get some laps in on the softs before switching to the Racing Wets. I think when I pitted for the wets, I also topped-off my fuel while I was at it. I did it all with the Corvette Gr.3 that I won from one of the other mission sets, too.

EDIT: Later today, I made a basic livery for the Jeep, and then got gold on the World Rally Challenge event at the Catalunya Rallycross layout.

Decided to replicate the new manual GR Supra’s gear ratios in the game by manual-swapping a 2020 model in my garage.

I copied the gear ratios from a Car and Driver specifications webpage for the 2023 model year GR Supra. You will need to raise the top speed setting a bit so you can adjust the gears to my ratios below. I used 490 km/h for the top speed setting. And just make seventh and eighth as short as you can as the real manual version of the car only has six gears.

Bought another A220. I’ll max this one out.

Using the A220, I ran two WTC 700’s At LM. The first one drizzled starting on lap 3, ended on the beginning of lap 4. I came in for IM’s on lap3, ran them for 2 laps, changed to RH and finished the race. The second one was bone dry from the start.

I also ran two WTC’s at Sardegna using the LM55. I used FM3 for the first lap, FM1 for the rest.Pitted on lap 9, got tires and filled up on gas. FM1 all the way to the finish.

I‘m at 63M credits now.

I finished and shared my Porsche livery, based on Charles Rainford's #99 Porsche Carrera Cup GB car from 2022.
I then did 9 Sport mode races in it. Finally taking me to 51 races for my trophy. I won't miss racing in sport mode.

Now I just have to somehow gold all the licences for my platinum.
But first some more custom races :)

On the Plus account, I took the Diablo GT to Tokyo. I came very close to bouncing off the rev limiter down the front stretch in no traffic, while hitting 192 mph in a hurry. It almost lasts 7 laps on FM1, but I came down on lap 6 just to be safe. It's not quite as good in the back half as some of the other cars, but with a fast lap in the 2:13s and a time of 27:50, it's good enough on normal difficulty.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave something worse than worthless - another Bugatti invite (thankfully not extending an existing one). Theoretically I could use another 3 Veyrons as it has both a widebody option and S parts available, but I already have 2, and it's going to be a while before I get the account to the point where I can buy the 3rd/4th/5th Veyrons.

Instead, I completed the official future of GT motoring by buying the (2025) Hyundai HYUNDAI N 2025 VGT. Yes, there are more cars set in the future, like the Gr.1 version of the aforementioned Hyundai, and a car with a hidden 2022 year designation that I don't have (in either account), but the "future" cars don't have year designations in the Car Index.

On the GTP account, it was a while since I took the GT by Citroen Road Car to Tokyo, so I did. It had just enough to nip Gallo at the line in a slow 28:01. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the only cash prize showing, the 2nd-lowest-possible 30,000 Cr.

I did some laps at the Ring in the R8 LMS for this week's WRS time trial. The RS tires do make it a bit less evil.

So today, took the GReddy Fugu Z to LeMans. Wow, what a handful that is. Needs a decent tune to tame it a little.
6 star Daily workout ticket revealed 1/2 a million. Nice.
Yesterday's Discord race was the Spanish GP at Circuit de Catalunya, using the SF19. I brought the Honda engine. 20 laps, no fuel requirements, tyres X4. Lap 15, I realise I'm 3rd, as I look at the positions, miss my braking point, end up in the gravel after the 2nd long left-hander, and finish 5th. Gotta concentrate for the whole race. Bummed for sure. Lesson learned

a bit ocd but I "remade", approximately at times, every weather condition from the PS3 days. Most of them were trying to have realistic visuals with boring conditions.

It really illustrates the giant jump in quality from the PS3 gen to now. Tracks look more familiar than the preset times PD gave them this time around.

Did about a dozen qualifying laps for Daily Race A, ended up placing in the top 2000 times with a lap of about 1:50.1xx, and got a four-star ticket. I would’ve preferred winning the engine I saw in the roulette, but I did win Stage 5 Weight Reduction for the Aston Martin One-77, so I’d say that’s still quite nice.

Two WTC700 with the A220. First was dry until the end of lap 2. A bit of rain that passed by lap 3. I took on IM’s at the end of lap 2, ran them for 2 laps, pitted and took on RH until the end.

Second race was dry until the end of lap 2, then the deluge began, ramping up to the purple zone by lap 4, then rain until the end. I switched to the Wets starting lap 3, ran them until the end, finishing the race in 6 laps. I had a 3 minute lead with 1:45 left, so I just waited at the line.

Finally won a invite for Ferrari:bowdown: and was able to complete my 2000s Supercar collection with the:

Ferrari Enzo
Porsche Carrera GT
Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren
Lamborghini Murcielago LP640
Ford GT

Also purchased a second Ferrari Enzo and converted it to FXX but gave it maximum weight reduction and did Sardegna a few times in it, the car did pretty well getting lap times as low as 1:39

Currently saving up for a 3rd McLaren F1 GTR as the 2 Enzos dropped me down to 8 million, also plan on purchasing the following:
Porsche 918 x2 Converting one to RSR spec
Ferrari LaFerrari
Ferrari FXXK

PD did a good job with the racing exhaust sounds for the V12 Ferraris as they sound abit like the real racing versions of the cars.

Did one more F1 custom test race around Spa before doing an actual season. Suffice to say the results I was able to gather in all three custom races convinced me enough to do an actual season.

I'm still in awe to see a 20 F1 car grid featuring 10 McLaren MP4/4s and 10 Gran Turismo F1500T-As.

In this race I added some spice to it by adding wet conditions and it created this moment which really made me feel more convinced about running an actual season and there was even a battle for P2 as Nannini was able to catch up to Berger to finish P2.

The post race results were fine enough for me and as expected from rain conditions it can shake up the results.

Are the two models/cars pretty much equivalent in terms of fuel usage etc.?

One problem I'm having with my JGTC '99 custom race is that there's 6 different cars and they all have different fuel capacities/usage, so there's no one setting for fuel depletion and race length that generates a single stop strategy for every car in the field. I don't care so much about the non-Japanese cars, but the difference between the '97 Supra and the '08 NSX is huge. It would be great to be able to manually set the fuel depletion rates for individual models.

Also, how are you finding the rubber banding?
