What did you do in GT7 today?

Are the two models/cars pretty much equivalent in terms of fuel usage etc.?

One problem I'm having with my JGTC '99 custom race is that there's 6 different cars and they all have different fuel capacities/usage, so there's no one setting for fuel depletion and race length that generates a single stop strategy for every car in the field. I don't care so much about the non-Japanese cars, but the difference between the '97 Supra and the '08 NSX is huge. It would be great to be able to manually set the fuel depletion rates for individual models.

Also, how are you finding the rubber banding?
Unfortunately I can't say much for the fuel usage since my test races were usually less fuel consuming but I may try to up the ante once I do the actual season.

Also I will say these F1500T-As have a good advantage on the launch starts. Because of this whenever I put the Ferraris/Benettons on the top 8 they're able to beat the McLarens (including myself), Lotuses, and Williams on the start but overall pace-wise the MP4/4s have the overall advantage but these F1500T-As can hang around to the point where you don't wanna create a mistake where it will allow the F1500T-As to take advantage.

Tires wise I'm currently on low multipliers only due to how accelerated the tire wear is right now and rubber banding wise I had no problems so far with these cars. Overall the experience is alright for me at least.

Took the BMW Z4 GT3 to LeMans, using a tune from @praiano63, with a few little tweaks. Smashed the lot. A little tail happy on corner exit, so decided to shift up just before the apex, as I do with the Supra Concept, and worked a treat. Even the rain couldn't dampen this car. Fabulous drive, fabulous tune.
A 4 star Daily workout ticket revealed the Megane Trophy. Bonus.

On the Plus account, I took the Viper GT3 to Sardegna for a 1-stop affair. It's possible only if you save fuel while running FM6 - it doesn't last 7 full laps full-tilt on FM6. Despite that, I managed an easy win.

The no-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave me a racing crank shaft for the Mustang Gr.3 Road Car. I had enough cash to get the Gr.1 version of the Hyundai VGT.

On the GTP account, after sharing my WRS Week 21 replay and finding out I didn't save the right Week 22 one (D'OH! :banghead:), I took the 962 C to Sardegna for some baby seal clubbing. The 3-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible/low-showing 5,000 Cr., which didn't help much to get the 4 TVR Tuscan Speed 6's for engine research.

Only had about 1/2 hour today, So after watching a YouTube video from Doughtinator, I bought the Ferrari 458 Italia gt3 and used his tune for a run at Sardegna. A bit twitchy at the rear for my taste. Changing up a gear on corner exit helped to tame it, but it wasn't as easy as in the video. Still, a win's a win. Took 27 minutes as the first few laps took some getting used the way the car behaved.
4 star ticket of dispondency gave me 1/2 mill. That's twice inside a week along with 2 cars, the BMW Z4 GT3 and the Renault Megane Trophy. Been a productive week on the roulette. Not allowing myself to be lulled into a false sense of security though. It'll change soon enough, I'm sure.

Decided to make a DeLorean circuit build today to run at the LeMans WTC700 on easy difficulty. It can only get up past 650PP on the hard slicks with all engine upgrades, all three stages of weight reduction, custom aero (downforce set to 100/150), a custom suspension, and an LSD, but it’s good enough for the WTC700 races on easy.

I tried it out today and I managed to take the lead on lap two, but I screwed up my first pitstop on lap three by, well, forgetting to pit. I didn’t have time to restart, but, like I said, it is capable of winning on easy at least.

As for the car, the rear can step out on you in some corners, but good throttle management can prevent much of that. It can get to 170+ mph on the Mulsanne Straight via slipstream, which is adequate enough for easy difficulty. Surprised it didn’t fall apart, given that it’s a DeLorean. Or rather teleport back in time at 88 mph 😂

Didn't get to do much today, but I put in my daily mileage just testing out the gr4 86, gr4 Hyundai, and the gr4 Suzuki. I got a 6star ticket that gave me 1million. I am saving that mil for the next content update. All in all I was happy when the wheel of misfortune actually gave me a good prize.

I guess you were chased by the terrorists in the Sambabus with the Porsche engine upgrade :scared:

I received a GT3 VW Beetle from my 6 star ticket today - awesome for me.

On the GTP account, I took the NSX Gr.B to Sarthe for a drenching 7-lap race, and got a completely-worthless Aston Martin invite from the 4-star Wheel of Despair.

On the Plus account, I failed once again to get an 8-lap Sarthe race in, this time failing with a slightly-detuned (power restrictor 91%, otherwise stock, 699.31 PP) 2016 Lexus RC F GT3 Prototype on a dry track. I had to set the FM to 3 and be somewhat gentle on the throttle (partly because it would spin the tires out of tight corners) to make it to 4 laps, where I had to both get fuel and change the RH tires. I made it to the Porsche Curves on lap 7, and completed that lap at the 30:44 mark to win by better than a minuite.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave...wait for it...wait for it...a completely-worthless Aston Martin invite. That's the 2nd invite in 3 days, which makes 4 active invites (the first of which came on 8/26, 21 days ago).

Even with that, I had just enough cash to get the Infiniti VGT.

Lunch-break race at Le Mans - could only finish 2nd (again!)... this race is definitely a fair bit harder than it used to be.

But... it did allow me to buy the first of several Supra GT500s that I need to complete my 1999 JGTC grid, and so today I'm able to add the Team Cerumo Supra to the grid.

1999-jgtc-grid-suzuka1.png

Apart from the two Tom's Supras being identical, the only omission from the grid down to 12th place is the Matsumoto-Kiyoshi Team TOM'S Supra, which is my next target - I'll do the Spa 24 hr event after work tonight and that should bag me enough Cr. to get that one too. Otherwise, liveries, names and grid positions are all correct down to P10.

I did some daily races and qualified well for all of them. Doesn't matter though because even being A/S you end up with dirty degenerates who are D/D. It doesn't take much for you to go from being in 1st to 37 seconds behind last place with damage from getting punted and the whole race left to go. Sometimes I'll stay to get spots back because I know I can't race again for 15 or so minutes anyways. The online racing is broken. If GT Sport was so focused on this then how did they manage to **** GT7 up so bad? I'm pretty laid back and enjoy most of the game for what it is and I love it but this is a joke.

I tried online a few times with every GT that had it. I see nothing has changed. Every race I was ever in had that one car driving backwards or waiting near the finish line to punt you just to ruin it for someone.

I feel your pain, man!

The sad thing is, we can complain all we like, but in the eyes of PD they think nothing is wrong! They “like it” This way. For Kas, this is actually good and fun!!

Today we took the Megane Gr4 we won on roulette to LeMans. What a car this is. Stick other than a full custom transmission and medium rpm turbo, ran rings around the moving obstacles. For an FF car, it's brilliant won by 2:46 and sat at the finish line waiting for the timer to complete. Only Downside is the front tyres. RH were pretty worn after 2 laps would've probably lasted another, but the rain came at the end of lap 2. Went to IMn which lasted the rest of the 6 lap race. 3 star Daily workout ticket of dispondency gave me 5000 credits. See, told you it wouldn't last.

On the new account, we completed the VGT menu using the Mazda Lm55 VGT gr1. Got to say that the Porsche VGT has immense acceleration. The 6 star menu ticket gave me 1/2 mill 😁.
Daily workout ticket revealed 5000. Yeah, I know right?

Spent two million on a couple of VGTs to make further progress on my collection, then got my two million back from my gold Interlagos lap.

After that, I went to grab the gold in the new Lago Maggiore time trial with the new Nissan Z. Managed a 2:20.7, but not without my struggles.

I haven't touched the game in over four months, due to unplugging the PS4 during a particularly stormy weekend and, um... kinda forgetting about it for a long while. 😰 So I had a lot of catching up to do today:

  • Did the circuit experiences at Catalunya and Watkins Glen for a nice cash injection,
  • Bought the silhouette Skyline from Hagerty, whacked a blue turbo into it and spent some time making some decent tunes for it for later use in Gr.3 races,
  • Had a couple gos at the Barcelona rallycross course, which is actually quite fun (and an actual reason to use those untouched rally cars now!),
  • Did the Hypercar races (an actual reason to use that untouched LaFerrari now!),
  • Finally got around to tuning the Gr.1 Bugatti I had sitting around to be actually useful,
  • Collected the goodies from all the extra menus that were done already,
  • Made plans to buy a second DeLorean to shove the LS7 I got from one of those engine tickets into it (I'm sure this will end in hilarious disaster).

Gonna be a busy weekend, I guess!

On the Plus account, I bought the Alfa Romeo 155 that just showed back up in Hagerty's. After getting some intermediate and wet tires for it, I immediately took it to Sarthe for a stomping. I had to do some fuel saving to make 3 laps on FM1, but laps in the 4:13 range were well worth it. It rained a bit on lap 3, not enough to cause a worry, but the second round of rain on lap 5 had me, as well as some of the AI, in for intermediate tires.

The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr., not enough to get the next million-credit car.

On the GTP account, I took the Carrera GT to a drenched Sarthe for a 6-lap laugher. I coasted on the 6th lap to finish 4 seconds beyond 30 minutes, and better than a minute up on 2nd. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave..wait for it...the low-showing 30,000 Cr.

Mowed the lawn twice. Did a $2.49 "top off" for 2nd Toyota Supra GT500 '97. Took a look at Forza Motorsport. These are no longer competing products. God of War Ragnarok. A Buy.

Ran two WTC 700's with the A220. Both had the usual rain at the end of the 2nd lap, lasting for 2-1/2 laps.

Got a 4-star ticket which yielded an ultra-high speed turbo for a Nissan GTR of some kind. Blech. I'd rather have the low 30k credits than parts. I'll buy my own parts. For cars that I actually have.

I did the Spa 24 hr after work last night to afford me another Supra GT500 (a third one), and added it to my JGTC 1999 grid. The top 12 grid places are now accurate, but I still have 3/4 Supras left to add, 1 more GT-R GT500 and the McLaren F1 Race Car to complete the full GT500 grid of 19 cars.

-

I then did my 30 min JGTC 1999 Suzuka race, heavy rain throughout the race, and racing as one of the two Castrol Tom's Supras. Starting 7th, I dropped to 14th (last of my GT500 cars...) before making up ground, and ended up leading on the last lap, but I managed to clock up 6 secs of penalties for crossing the lines both coming into and out of the pits, and I didn't scrub off the time until the last lap, by which point Tom Coronel's NSX was right behind me. I crossed the line first but ended up being demoted to 2nd as I still had 0.85s of a penalty left to serve. Still, it was a great, fun race - the most realistic experience in GT for me thus far.

The only snag with the race is that the NSXs can go much further on fuel than the Supras and GT-Rs, and some seemed to pit on the last lap solely due to rubber banding (tellingly, the NSX that won the race did not pit, but was behind me at the start of the final lap; the other NSXs were ahead and still had 16% fuel left, so did not need to pit...). I'm thinking that I might be able to tune the NSXs to use more fuel but keep them at the same PP as the other cars.

Any ideas would be appreciated!

On the Plus account, I got the 2013 Viper under 2:12 at Tokyo. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave me my 3rd completely-worthless invite in the last 5 days, this time for Ferrari. At least I had enough to get the (2019) Jaguar VGT Coupe.

On the GTP account, I almost got into the 2:10s with the 2006 Ford GT at Tokyo. The all-cash 4-star Wheel of Despair gave me the lowest-possible/low-showing 10,000 Cr. At least it didn't mirror the Plus account again .

Two WTC700’s with the A220. On both races, the usual rain at the end of lap 2. Rained until the end of lap 5.

Wheel spin gave 10k. Up to 70m credits now.

if you want you can try my NSX it can give you an idea for your settings, unless mine suits you.
Honda NSX GT500 '08

Good drive and enjoy

Running a bunch of laps at the Nurburgring lately. I do have to say that PD needs to fix the timing system on the tourist layout because it doesn't even register your first lap.

Either way, this car is mostly stock except for suspension and brakes, sport filter and exhaust, and some minor aero. Biggest change is full racing transmission so I could replicate the DCT version. Super fun on SH tires.

Then I made a GTS replica, as close as I could get it. Unfortunately you can only increase the engine size to 4.2L, needs to be 4.4L. But same weight and power as the real car, similar aero, etc. Even more fun here on SM tires.
