What did you do in GT7 today?

Now it's time for the Festival di Sanremo, so I'll be having a lot less time to play GT unfortunately. Hopefully the GTO won't be gone before I can grind 3,55 mil but I don't have high hopes.
The estimate for the GTO is 3 more days availability. I’m in the same boat, the Miura cleaned me out as I don’t grind at all, just have whatever I get from tickets and some online races. May have to do a few Sardegna runs now, can’t resist any Italian.

On the GTP account, I'm a bit short of the silver time in the online time trial. I put on enough mileage to get a 5-star marathon roulette, which at least gave cash (the lowest-possible/low-showing 100,000 Cr.). I cashed that in before grinding Sarthe with the Toyota 86 Gr.4, surviving a misread of the weather (I pitted for intermediates on lap 4, and the promised rain never got the track beyond 1/3rd wet).

On the Plus account, I took the portliest Gr.4 (the Bugatti Veyron) to Sarthe, where I hung on despite a penalty coming out of Arnage on lap 6. The 4-star Wheel of Despair was just a bit kinder than usual, giving the still-low-showing 30,000 Cr.

Ran the Red Bull Ring in the Human Comedy Mission. Got 5th. Need to find a faster car than the BRZ. Then decided to try Sardegna in the BRZ. It worked. FM6 and short shifting kept it to 1 1/2 pit stops (got 2 laps of fuel after lap 13, kept the tires). Then decided to try some more sport races. Ran Daily C in the TT. Poled in 4th but ended up winning the race by 14 seconds. I wasn't the fastest, just the most consistent, I suppose. My DR is still a C but the bar is getting closer to tipping in to B territory.

I decided to get duplicates of all the Group C cars the next time they come around and saw the Sauber C9 was still there and grabbed a second one. I downloaded my first Livery so I could tell them apart. A lot of great options, I went with a Penzoil something or other. Did a lot of grinding, got 10,000 credits off a 3-star ticket but I actually won the Roadster Shop Rampage engine from a 4-star the night before. I’ll probably end up putting it into a DeLorean at some point.

On the Plus account, I used the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 to grind Sardegna. The...wait for it...3-star Wheel of Despair spewed the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr.

On the GTP account, I used the RH-shod Honda NSX GT500 to grind Sardegna. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr.

I dusted of the Renault R5 Turbo cause i never drove it, maxed it out and let it loose @ le Mans 700pp......
haden't much time to find settings for it so jump right in, changed the gearbox and just let it rip....
was just a little quicker then the Ferrari but not fast enough for the viper etc.

So it's standing in the garage again onder a blanket waiting for the right time to peak..

I did a no pitstop race with the 787b at LeMans. I put Inters on it and it through 7 laps. It felt kinda slow so I will probably not do it again. I took the Mazda VGT to Sardegena and then I raced the Aston Martin VGT at LeMans. Bought the GT40 Mk I and the 512bb. Got 10 k from the wheel

On the GTP account, I bought the Countach LP400 and played around with it in a couple of races to get the daily mileage. The Countach is quite surprising in that it drives pretty well for being an Italian paperweight. Looks like this weekend, I'm going to be building up my cash to prepare for the F1 road car.

On the second account, I bought the F1 GTR short tail from the LCD for a cool 11M. I took my Sauber C9 to Le Mans to pound around for the daily mileage and bought the 3.0 CSL to complete the Straight 6 BMW extra menu.

Bought the '72 Alpine, maxed it out and ran it at LeMans. A challenge, to be sure. I was able to beat McKewen out of the pits on lap seven and I won with a 4 second lead. I also ran one with the Countach. Got a sport suspension from the wheel.

Then I guess it's gonna be next time, since Sanremo lasts until Saturday night. Oh well...

Today I randomly came across the recent sub 50-second lap record by Fire Ando at Tsukuba - 49:897 -
- go to 6:15 for the actual lap.

- and I totally had to try that with my tuned cars. All driving aids off, manual transmission, steering wheel, pedals + clutch and h-shifter, using medium racing tires.
I'm a mediocre driver and couldn't manage it by a long shot, I came closest with my TVR Tuscan Speed 6 with a 54:372. Its not the most powerful car but its agility / mechanical grip is unmatched.

It took my freaking Jaguar XJR-9 Group-C car on medium tires with a brutal city-track max down force low gear ratio setup to beat his time by .200 of a second.

I'm going to try again with some brutal Nissan Skyline and Mitsubishi Evo tunes and see if I can get any closer.
I wish GT7 had more aero parts for tunes like Time-Attack / Hillclimb style front splitters.

On the GTP account, I used the Cayman GT4 Clubsport at Sarthe for the credits. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave a Tesla.

On the Plus account, it was the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Gr.4's turn at Sarthe. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the low-showing 30,000 Cr.

Got my first 6-star ticket rewarded today. Opened it and got a Pagani Huayra from it. Then opened a 4-star ticket. Invite for a Bugatti, which I also got from a ticket yesterday. Had a 3-star ticket left and got 5K credits from that one.
I was surprised not to get the crappiest reward from the 6-star ticket.

Today i will start my second Super GT season in custom race mode. I bought some more GT500 cars lately and applied the latest real-life liveries on them. Also bought some GT300 cars. The final grid consists of 15 GT500 cars with the authentic drivers and 5 GT300 cars. I will race at Fuji, Suzuka, Autopolis, High Speed Ring and Kyoto. There will be sprint races for 30 minutes and endurance races with 60 minutes. 10x Tyre and 10x Fuel consumption, dynamic weather. This creates some great dramatic results. Super fun and propably the most authentic Super GT experience you can get right now. I just love the custom race mode. Its so powerful! Has it always been like that from day one?
