After a few days of hiatus due to the Festival di Sanremo and getting the platinum on Spiritfarer, tonight I went back behind the G29.
Looks like last time I played I actually dried up my GT bank account completely, as I only had 36k. Whoops. I was still in the RC-F GT500 and was still wearing my ZENT suit so I did a quick Sardegna just to gather some money, and then officially started my GT7 evening.
I wanted revenge against the Human Comedy, and I've been thinking about giving
@Meythia's strategy a try, so with the newly acquired money I hopped in my Stratos and headed for the Deep Forest mission.
Well this was... unexpected. Last time with the 458 the best I could do was a 1:38 while this time, basically from lap 2 onwards, I was running on 1:35-1:36 constantly. I catched up with the Taycan on his pit stop and was still ahead when he pitted for the second time, despite being spun into oblivion by the R34 in the beginning of the race. A very easy one stopper with FM1 and a fun car to drive, the gearing designed to take on most corners on 3rd gear threw me off a bit at the beginning but I got used to it after a while.
Since I was taking on Human Comedy, I thought "why not" and decided to try the BAC Mono mission. So I bought one and slapped Master
@praiano63's tune on it and took on Trial Mountain.
At first I hated this car with my whole self, especially since I first tried a different tune from the Human Comedy thread which was completely undrivable, then with Master's setup and a bit of patience (and most of all, Sport Soft tyres all the way) it turned out to be a really fun race. AI is very slow so winning is not an issue, I won with an extra lap and you all know how bad I am.
Finished the night with 2.88mil, not enough to buy the Giulia Zagato. If it's still there tomorrow then I'll farm the remaining money, otherwise I'll buy the A220. I also got a wonderful 4* Wheel of (Mis)Fortune ticket which gifted me high lift camshafts for the 2017 Alpine A110. Meh.
