Since we're not going to have an update until at least next week Thursday, I went back into buy mode. After collecting my 1,000,000 Cr. from the Lago Maggiore time trial, and dragged the plow mule around Blue Moon (In)field for a time I doubt will stay silver for long (1:15.4), I hit up Brand Central for the two BMW M6 GT3s, the Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, the Lamborghini Huracan GT3, the two Lexus RC F GT3s, the older Nissan GT-R GT3, and the Porsche 911 RSR.

As I miscalculated how much money I had, and the cash-less 4-star Wheel of Despair dispensed a non S-part camshaft, instead of buying rain tires for the Nissan, I had to take the SLS AMG Gr.4 to Sarthe, and used the winnings to buy the last 450,000-Cr. GT3, the Renault R.S.01. That brought me down to 61 cars, and 71,380,000 Cr. to go for a full garage.

On the Plus account, I used the Renault Megane Trophy for a sopping-wet romp at Sarthe. I could have easily done a 6-lap race as 2nd place didn't complete lap 6 until the 32:20 mark.

The 3-star brigade kept hope alive as I got my 5th 3-star Wheel of Despair of 24 this month, except it wasn't exactly despair. While the cash award was the low-showing, it was the 2nd-highest-possible 100,000 Cr.

Collected TT reward and got on the board with the new one. Earned 100 Photo trophy, Finished Sun Also Rises missions, Ran 700pp LeMans race for the first time since I was using Sardegna for grind credits, I used the AMG Black series for an easy win. Ran a couple Sport races to get closer to the 50 trophy.

Yes I did it I grinded 100M in a week from 1.3M to 100M in just 7 days beating my previous 8.5 days to get to 100M.:embarrassed::)

How someone can describe this ?
One image .... 3 words .

I took the Dauber to Sardegna. I hadn't used it in awhile and I didn't adjust my tune or anything like that. That car was so fast it was ridiculous by the end of lap 3 I was in P1 where that doesn't normally happen until lap 4 or if Crash KJB is driving lap 5. I lapped everybody twice. I don't think it a skill level up but it was the car🤣 I seriously thought about buying a 2nd one but in my race to be @Chikane_GTR to 100 million credits in two months cause I got smoked this week 🤣 I can't buy anything for awhile. Got Carbon brakes for one of the McaLaren's I have

I started off by registering a lap for the third Porsche-themed online time trial, just so I can have all three special cars. But then I moved onto the online time trial that features the Red Bull X2014 Jr. at Spa-Francorchamps. What I didn't realize is that it's a somewhat wet version of the circuit, so that adds a neat bit of challenge. I got a time that put me in silver range, so hopefully it'll stick since that time trial ends sooner.

For my daily workout, I got a four-star ticket that netted me a mere 10k credits, but I've always considered the daily workout ticket to be a bonus above anything. Speaking of which, I also recently bought the Ford GT40 road car the last time I played this week, but hadn't bothered to collect the six-star ticket until today - and it netted me a silver Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren! On the subject of the Ford GT-themed Extra Menu, I really hope we eventually get the Mk.II that won Le Mans in '66.

On the Plus account, I sent the Ford Mustang Gr.3 to Sardegna. For being just over 700 PP, it's surprisingly quick - it's capable of doing sub-1:43 at the end of a run, and will get about 5.5 laps on a tank of fuel. It is very marginal on tires - I changed them on lap 10. Because Fraga was merely human, the 27:02 run was good for a relatively-easy win.

I will finish with fewer 3-star Wheels of Despair for the month on this account than suggested by the odds for the first time this year, as a 4-star Wheel of Despair popped up. That gave me another Hellcat safety car, which I hung onto.

On the GTP account, I grabbed the GT by Citroen Gr.3 car to grind Sardegna. I used a stupid strategy - full-tilt and 3 stops. Fortunately, Fraga was human again, and I didn't need to see if the 1-tire-change 26:43 would beat his best efforts.

The 4-star marathon roulette wasn't a Wheel of Despair for a change - it gave the 2nd-lowest-showing/lowest-legal/2nd-highest-possible 500,000 Cr. I almost had enough to get all 3 remaining Gr.3 cars, but I left the newer Mercedes-AMG GT3 for later, grabbing the BMW M3 GT and the newer Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3.

That livery will probably have you killed in The Netherlands.

Continuing the grind for my last five cars, unfortunately all 20 million a piece, sitting at 24 million currently. I've gotten 3 invites out of my last 4 tickets, 2 of them for Citroen ☹️
Please send 1 of those Citroen invite my way I still need 1 more color of that car.:(

As for what I did today I bought 2M worth of cars in continuing the buy 1 of every color for every car in BC.

Then I went into the showcase - New and L and R a bunch of new Liveries.

Got a 4* with a Bugatti invite cause owning all 29 colors of the Veyron is not enough.

I finished up the Neo Classical Menu with the Sauber. I came in 3rd at Willow because of some bad driving on the 9th lap. I won at Fuji after losing the my race there because I didn't realize that the rain would be very light and pitted and switched to wets and lost a places with 3 laps to go. After trying like 3 different cars I settled on the swapped Mazda 3 at LeMans. Ended up with 3 tickets: 3*,5*,6*. I got 5k,a Ruf engine and carbon brakes for a BRZ. Not on the subject but I really how when typing from my phone Google tries to read my mind. I type a word and Google automatically decides I really mean something else. Like instead of Sauber I really mean Dauber.

Urgent Traffic report from France. Reports of a major pile up occurring on l'autoroute due to a car parked in the middle of the road...
IMG_20230729_132300.jpg

Then there was mayhem around lap 3 when yellow weather arrived and AI cars forgot they were driving on slicks...

IMG_20230729_133346.jpg

Then some idiot was so busy thinking about all the carnage that he forgot to stop before the line and had to drive a 7th lap. Whilst all the AI only drove 6... 🙄

Brazilian afternoon here 🇧🇷 :

1. Started to improve my score on S-8 licence test (Interlagos with the Pagani Zonda). But as I was "far" from gold, I've decided to...

2. Golded Interlagos CE with the Nismo GT-R :sly: Then I've...

3. Golded S-8 at my second attempt!

I purchased a second R34 GT-R for the sole purpose of maxing out horsepower through upgrades. I usually approach tuning with a bit of restraint, but the recent addition of the ultra section to the tuning shop motivated to go all in on a highly receptive engine. Rewarding car but I miss having the credits I spent on the whole affair.

I decided that since I have a wheel I need to get better with then it’s time to get gold in all license tests, so I managed to gold through the dirt exam of the IA license tests last night before I had to get to sleep. I’m not looking forward to driving in the rain for the IA test or the whole lap on S10. I managed to gold the rain test for the IB license without any TCS but it was certainly the most difficult test for me so far. The Dirt IA exam was easier to gold than I had expected but I did have to chase the demo ghost to get it. I think I’ll redo each respective Circuit Experience before I go for the S license exams since I plan on redoing all of those with the wheel at some point anyway.

Surprisingly enough the 4-star ticket gave me a million credits. I only did one grind race at Sardegna in the Ford GT race car ‘18 and called it a night. I have over 20 million credits and nothing I need to buy so not terribly worried about grinding right now.

19 years on :gtpflag:.

I celebrated by completing the 60 mins of Spa for the first time. I'd like to thank all the tens of people who turned up and stayed through the night for my inaugural appearance :D

I got a nice present from Kaz...

Then there was cake...

And more gifts...

And we partied all night long (due to a 10x time multiple that was only about 10 minutes ;) )

Early morning with the Geezers.
Break
Setup for Monday Night Racing League
Tried my hand at beting the GR.1 menu book (for the 1st time) on hard with the Tomahawk.
Now is it my imagination or do PD remove the "Overtake" from the Tomahawk somewhere along the line? I am almost certain they changed the transmission, suspension and aero for it from what it was in GTS as it did so much better when I put my settings from GTS in for the transmission. You can't put the suspension settings in as the dampers can not be adjusted as high up. The springs are a direct swap but not the ride height. Some with the aero, not adjustable to the same specs. Why? 😡 But, this will give us a clue as to the difference between the two games in settings.

Saved a 10 lap custom race setting with 80’s cars (1975-1990). Group A homologation fun aplenty! Have one setting with 1960-1975 since before. Best races next to the chili ones. 🌶
In a sporting sence they both turned out similar to the WTC 600 in Tokyo.
Next up: a 1985-2005 version - for the millennium tuning craze.

1. Some laps on Blue Moon Bay TT with the Viper but couldn't improve my PB (1:14.3xx). Will be back later to see where and how I can gain 0.9 sec. here to score a secure gold.

2. To be prepared to gold the S-9 licence test (Deep Forest with the Nissan GT500), I've started to improved my previous scores on this CE with the Audi R8. The 2nd sector is just unreachable to gold for now and the last one is on an expert level.

3. ⭐⭐⭐ : Cr. 5.000 ... :irked::yuck::mad:

Last night I didn't do much. I finished the Alpine extra menu and tried to use the Alpine VGT race mode at LeMans and Sardegna and I didn't like that car. I think the fact I can't play with the gears because there's no available transmissions available for bothers me. Also the fact that it was going above 160 mph makes it seem slow to me. Spent a few minutes trying to figure out what to run at LeMans and chose the BMW VGT and 2 laps in my day starts catching up with me. I got a 5* & 3*. Got more carbon brakes for some car which I didn't look to see and 100k from the 3* Also I ended up selling the Alpine VGT.

After another skipped day, I hit Sarthe, which should be enough to buy all 3 of the cars coming to dealerships on August 7. On the GTP account, I bought some rain tires for the older Nissan GT-R GT3, and came within a tire change or two (I did one) of getting through 7 laps before 30 minutes. The tires were looking a bit ragged on lap 5, so I took some fresh ones then.

The all-cash 5-star Wheel of Semi-despair gave the middle-showing/lowest-legal 100,000 Cr. With that, I completed the Gr.3 garage by getting the newer Mercedes-AMG GT3, while also picking up the newer Lamborghini Aventador.

On the Plus account, I ground Sarthe with the Red Bull Junior. My 6th engine ticket of the month pushed out a second 2017 Nissan GT-R NISMO engine. As I had enough credits to get the 2 cars in Hagerty's cheaper than the Ford GT40 Mk1, and the GT40, unlike those 2, is in, I picked it up. That knocks me down to 12 cars worth, at the current prices, 139,050,000 Cr. left to get. It also got me a 6-star ticket, which gave the 2nd-low-showing/lowest legal 500,000 Cr.

Today was a normal day I bought 49 new cars/colors from BC opening up 2M credits a few times then grinding them back rinse and repeat.:embarrassed::)

I'm now up to 1015 cars in my garage and it has made me start to worry about this so call 2K car limit for the garage.

:)

I had around 4M Cr. to spend, but rather than buying something from the LCD, I completed my GT3 / GTWC grid.

My 20 car grid is made up of:
1 McLaren 720 S GT3
1 Aston Martin Vantage GT3
2 Ferrari 459 Italia GT3
3 BMW M6 GT3
3 Porsche 911 RSR GT3
3 Lamborghini Huracan GT3
3 Audi R8 GT3
4 Mercedes AMG GT3

I'll probably chop and change the teams/liveries, but for the moment, my "must-have" liveries include:
  • Sky Tempesta (E Cheever - McLaren)
  • AF Corse (A Fuoco - Ferrari)
  • WRT #46 (V Rossi - BMW)
  • Rowe #98 (P Eng - BMW)
  • Manthey EMA (L Vanthoor/K Estre - Porsche)
  • Grasser Team Racing #58 (S Neary - Lamborghini)
  • Iron Dames (R Frey/D Pin - Lamborghini)
  • Scherer (N Thiim/K Van der Linde - Audi)
  • Akkodis ASP #88 (J Gounon - AMG)
  • Madpanda (M Gustavsen - AMG)
  • Almanar Racing #777 (M Engel - AMG)
I'm planning to run the full 3 hour race at the Nurburgring in Custom Races, plus an extended race (maybe 4 hours?) at Spa with time change set to 6x and random weather, however I'll need to equip 20 cars with IM and W tyres first. Lucky the game is limited to 20 cars though, however I would absolutely love to have a full 54 car grid for the Nurburgring, or 71 cars at Spa...
