What did you do in GT7 today?

I completed all of the World Touring Car 800 events. It was pretty fun driving the Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM and leaving the AI behind by over a minute. Sure, it is technically cheating, but... it's under the 800 PP limit, so I'm technically following the regulations
I received that car as a gift early on in my time with GT7 and it's been my go to for any 800pp event in single player. This may be a stupid question but why is it considered cheating? I don't know much about it other than it's FAST and absolutely sips on fuel and rubber pretty much no matter how you drive.

I see nothing cheating 800pp events are open to any car the player wants to use that's fits the 800pp limit and not feel guilty about it.

Unless one as a moral thing I guess.:)

Did the Le Mans 30 minutes rain race. It rained a lot. I got 5,000 credits from the three star ticket. Thanks game.

Workin'..lurkin'.. watchin'.. listenin'.. Racin' !!!!

.. trust, i'm still here & I HOPE to get something posted later on today..

All kinds of goodies stackin' up..

I was showing GT7 and my rig to a mate of mine this evening, and ended up doing the full 1hr of Spa (WTC800) race, while also describing my recent trip to the Spa 24h, discussing what GT racing is all about, and showing off my ability to race and yap at the same time.

Ironically, it turned out to be a really good race, and my mate was well impressed by the depth of realism in the game, from the graphics and gameplay, to the need to make choices - fuel, tyres, pit strategy - on the fly with changing light and weather conditions.

I was a little distracted, but it was a genuinely closer race than I'm used to. I ended up 9s behind the leader with one lap left, on IM tyres on a bone-dry track, but the leading AI pitted and I won comfortably... if the AI had stayed out, he almost certainly would have won.

In the end, I got 1.5M Cr. and 6* ticket, which gave me another 0.5M Cr., so 2M Cr. for an hour in 'exhibition mode'. And my mate didn't seem too bored by the whole thing either

It took me a while for that one (assuming R3 is hazard lights) but it's saying 交差点に侵入します。ご注意ください。

Or roughly "Entering the intersection, please watch out/exercise caution"
Thank you so much... Domo Arigato

On the Plus account, I ground Sardegna with the 1995 McLaren F1 for my first 5-star workout ticket on this account in almost 2 months. The cash-less wheel pushed out a Honda NSX Gr.3, which I hung onto.

On the GTP account, I used the newer Mercedes-AMG GT3 at Sardegna to get a 4-star Wheel of Despair worth the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr. I picked up the Nissan GT-R LM.NISMO.

What did I do in GT7 today ??... well let me save the best for last, & without going into too many details.. here's a few highlights..

A few days back I decided to peek in on "extra menus" to see what I hadn't acquired and saw that I needed the '66 Shelby Cobra to complete the Shelby menu, so off to LCD to see if by chance it was there, and joila' there it is.. plunked down the cash, and that took care of the Shelby menu..

Shelby-0.jpg

.. which in turn gave me a 6*.. which in turn gave me..

cool-mil.jpg

.. had to be my biggest financial reward yet.. not too bad for just completing a menu.. eh, i'll take it..

So after doin' a bunch of rip'n and run'n in my trusty Enzo.. I somehow got to a point earning one of my daily's.. picked up a random 4* & got..

red-bull.jpg

.. which I promptly sold and threw the cash in the bank, because 1 I don't race super cars and 2 I already have one collecting dust, so really, who needs it..

So now off to my house of TM/HCP.. and a little work chasing rabbits, if you may..

TM.jpg

Now if memory serves me best i'd been used to run'n in the low to mid 9:20's as an average, until that one day earlier this month where I blistered in a 9:15 posting a new PB.. So now that i'd hit the 9:15 barrier I decided to set the bar to get below 9:10 (that Enzo.. smh..)

Anyways, so a few days back i'm racing around late in the evening and for no reason except for chasing that rabbit.. pop!

913.jpg

.. at that point I was thinking that 9:10 is possible.. called it a night, shut it down.. until last night, and for my final race of the night b4 goin' to bed..

912.jpg

.. so needless to say, the chase for that 9:10 is get'n closer.. & how not even a month ago I was run'n in the low to mid 9:20's, and now, unreal... smh.. So after my last 30 races (a couple weeks of action) all were TM/HCP, all were Victories by at least 20 seconds or more, and most importantly 26 of the 30 earned me these..

CRB.jpg

.. 2 of those 4 misses were definitely my fault, but only because sometimes braking in the corners can be ohhhhh so dicey (AI rides.. smh..), you guys know how it goes.. LoL.. So, not too shabby for some pretty limited racing, but as I stated i'm still here just doin' my thing, me and my vitamin-E!

.. apologies for not posting sooner, but i've been a bit busy, and as always it's a pleasure to come here and post when I can.. you guys keep me coming back.. much respect.. have a great night/day gentlemen!

PS/SIDENOTE: (Edited in 8/17)

.. something I NEVER realized.. first of all I dedicated the all-black aka Black Beauties (BB) concept to my memories of some of the most baddest ass rides in the GT series, GT4!.. now that being said I really didn't think anything too much of converting a Ferrari Red Enzo into a BB.. but then today while fooling around on Google to find out how much an Enzo would run me (yikes!), I ran into this.. only 3 were ever made..

The REAL all black Enzo-2.jpg

.. so it wasn't just my idea, they really did make them.. i'll be damned!.. so pretty!.. yeah, you can most definitely call it a "WOW/SCHWING" moment!

Can I make a suggestion...
I understand why they don’t let you buy cars from other players, they don’t want people paying real money for cars or credits or earning money just by flipping instead of racing, but it’s umm pretty unrealistic that I can’t buy cars from other people…

@smoothbore12 - As far as the weather, I had (LR) appear in the radar the the end of Lap 2 and last until the beginning of Lap 4. Slicks

1. Went to Le Mans for the Scientific Weather Researches conducted by the Pr. @smoothbore12 !

@smoothbore12 - Weather was somewhat more intense than I've seen.

Weather - straight forward. (LR) appeared on the radar end of Lap 2
Could these LeMans grinds / weather reports be filed in a seperate thread?
I just finished my nightly grind and had NO rain for such an easy race with my 917K

You might have right about that , on the other hand, lets say is a bit more detailed report that " fit " in the plan ,what you did today .

Although i admit it would be better a separate thread and ill take care about it soon .
Just needed to add something " more " as a content , and not only weather reports ,to be more interesting.
Any ideas are welcome.

Back from a real driving simulator, 10 days on the road to Chamonix-Mt Blanc and back.

As usual I woke at 6am to play while my women sleep. I didn't do much since I had to update both the PS system and the game but at least I cashed the million from Spain's victory and the Nissan GTR from the movie. Also claimed the engine and the ambulance, soon to be awarded. Finally opened some roulette tickets because I didn't realize they expire and I hadn't opened a single one since I started the game, one was 100k, the rest utter crap.

Tomorrow I plan to gold National A test and do some progress in the Cafe.

1. Banked the Cr. 2.000.000 from my gold medal at HSR TT 🥇
  • Gold: 6
  • Silver: 5
  • Bronze: 4
2. Got a first silver score at Suzuka with the NSX Concept: 1:52.740 🥈 after some laps. This isn't enough - aliens are already there - and I must gain almost a full second to hope a yellow reward here.
#KeepPushing

3. ⭐⭐⭐: Cr. 10.000 :irked:

4. Improved my PB on the 1st sector on Suzuka CE: 0:33.710. I hope it would help to improve my scores on the TT.

Congrats you're a great driver, numbers don't lies ;)
Thanks.

But really I am in no way a great driver compared to other fast guys. I just enjoy the heck of of this game especially with PSVR2. Its just such an enjoyable experience :)

I am kinda on a road to get all the trophies. S7 is the only really hard one left for me. After that its just grind, for money, for the last expensive car. I still need the Jaguar at 12 million.

After that I will just enjoy all the different kinds of races, and modes, without worrying about grinding.

Day 2 I grinded my credits up to 43M I got a little help from that online TT at HSR where I got a bronze for 250K so that was nice.

Won't you join me on this journey as I try to grind 100M credits in 5 days.:)

My plan for each day of credit grind.

Day 1 - 22M Done
Day 2 - 43 - today Done
Day 3 - 65M
Day 4 - 81M
Day 5 - Final Day 100M

Its gonna be hard but thankfully I'm not one bit tried of Tokyo or Sardegna.

:)

  1. Got the Himedic and engine ticket then I bought 2 300 SLs, 73 911 and another C1. Then maxed out C1 and took it to LeMans. The rain came on lap 2 and lasted until lap 4 but it wasn't heavy enough to cause me switch tires. I ended up getting 3 laps of fuel so I had to do 2 pitstops. Got 10k from a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🎫

After buying the mercedes barker few days before ,the McLaren came up and bought her also .
So i needed my cash back and am grinding constantly at La Sarthe .
Since sm dealing ( lately) with the intermediate tyre wear,am using my favourite cars at FM6 and intermediate tyres from the beginning.
At dry conditions,i had some cars able to run 4 laps on completely red tyres !! without a problem.
Also with rain ,red tyres doesn't affect at all and you're able to go on without problems.
By saying problems,i mean the problems someone has like when you caught out on RH ( or else dry tyre ) in the rain .
You just need longer brake marks and lower turn speed , nothing uncontrollable, nothing scary.

Intermediate tyre wear on that race isn't a " thing " to worry about , so far i run Peujot 908 fap , Porsche 962 , nissan R92CP ,Jag XJ9 , mazda 787 and Alpine VGT.
Of course i run multiple times in order to " find " a rainy one and a bone dry race ( which is not easy ) .

Other than that ,i run the McLaren from LCD ,stock and only tuned to fit at the 700pp.

I wasn't impressed at all, also has a terrible behaviour on the wet and feels very " loose" .
Like you're dealing more with a boat than a car .
For example 911 strassenversion ( or something like that ) was a smooth and flawless car to ride stock...... leaving aside that couldn't manage more than two laps 😵‍💫 .

What did I do in GT7 today... for the 7th consecutive day I have spent a couple of hours trying to gold the full lap circuit experience on Laguna Seca.

All sectors are gold individually but on the single full lap, as soon as I get past the corkscrew with enough time to gold the lap, I screw up on of the last three corners... every single time. 7 days and counting... never hit a roadblock quite like this one before.
Annoyingly my best time is only one 10th away from gold so I know that I can and should do it easily.

Perhaps you're pissed off with that and you have to be less " aggressive.
After corkscrew the most difficult turn is the very last one because you can gain or loose too much time there .
Cool it down and it will come , don't try to " eat " your ghost if you're using it and try a bit earlier brakes .

@smoothbore12 -
Ran my daily 30min grind at LeMans and thought of commons we can use to best describe the rain, I came up with this and is all based on the track wetness meter left of the tyre wear indicators.
Stage 1 : any light blue that is in the bottom third
Stage 2 : any light blue that reaches two thirds of the meter.
Stage 3 : anytime you have two thirds or more and the darker blue denoting puddle/standing water.

In last nights run I was in the 67 ford mark IV, and rain started just after the end of lap 2 and quickly made and sustained stage 1, by lap 5 it increased to the beginnings of stage 3 and dropped slowly to stage 1 at end of race.

I was thinking of getting the McLaren but I need it to be useful at 12.5 mil. Hopefully it an be used at Sardegna
