Today I returned to Fuji with the Toyota GT-ONE TT and managed to catch @Lomic and am on my way to reach gold and the very fast sandal @MUC76 . Suzuka and the McLaren VGT can wait...

Spent the last couple of days not doing the WC. Friday night I drive long for the marathon and got a RE Amemiya RX7. Last night I used the 2J and 787b at the 900 pp LeMans race. I also downloaded the official Spoon livery for the Honda Civic. Got 10k cr from a ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ 🎫

Before I left on vacation, over on the GTP account on Thursday, I picked up the easiest 2,000,000 Cr. I'll likely ever pick up (hands - "Shut up about easy; that time trial nearly killed us."). I then completely mucked up the Suzuka time trial (best of 1:43.2, which might not even be bronze in 2 weeks) for yet another 3-star Wheel of Despair that "fortunately" missed both the 5,000 Cr. and the weak part in "favor" of a 2015 Subaru BRZ S, dumped for a "princely" sum of 11,290 Cr.

I then redid the three Interlagos events that aren't part of this past week's challenges. Success at the Race of Turbo Sports Cars is highly dependent on whether and where the two new(er) overpowering metas of the series, the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm and the Maserati MC20 are on the grid. If either/both are there, especially near the front, you'll need a Gr.4 machine like the Honda NSX land a 8:45 time on normal difficulty (with a clean Cr./hour output of just under 650,000 Cr.). If not, something capable of 9:00 flat (knocking the Cr./hour down to 630,000 Cr.) will suffice.

The Hyper Car Parade doesn't actually need a hyper-car, unless you consider the track-day 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 RS a hyper-car. It got the job done in a relatively-easy 12:14. Of course, the 695,000 Cr./hour for clean wins leaves a lot to be desired.

The X2019 Nations Cup proved impossible, even with a max-downforce tune. I'll have to try a different tune when I get back.

I ran out of time to do either a Plus run Thursday or anything on Friday, and I also turned the PS5 off instead of putting it to rest.

Last night I finished the Sun Also Rises set of missions. The one left was the 24 minutes of Le Mans.

I used the Red Bull X2019. FM1, RS, TCS 1 and CSA. One pit stop at the end of lap 2, change to FM6 and wet tyres then I ran all the way to the end. The TCS and CSA were handy during the rainny laps.

Then I sold the prize car (Chaparral) for 1,2M.

Today I ran the Europen Sunday Cup at the Weekly Challenges with some different cars I was meaning to test drive. The Mini was my favorite of the pack and I made a 5 minutes livery for it.

Yesterday I did some pruning of duplicate cars bought the Sauber C9 and the Ferrari 288Gto, Sarah congratulated me on 300 cars collected and I ran Autopolis to complete this week's challenges, daily wheel gave a hansom reward of 1m credits, the gold 5* ticket for the weekly gave me 100k.

Did 1h Maggiore with the Lexus 17 and was surprised by its fuel efficiency and handling.
I am going to try a RH (18) -> RM (12) race to see if this is any faster than RH -> RH or RM -> RM -> RM this week or the next ...

Wrapped-up the weekly challenges. Discovered a couple things:
  • The Porsche 962 is WAY too much car for Autopolis 🤣
  • The Alpine A110 in the game makes me want one in real life
So, the 962 @ Autopolis, wow. You don't get to go WOT often, lol. I threw 26 kg towards the front (-25, maybe) and on RS it was at 899.86. Made the PP900 race SUPER easy. The real challenge is taming the car/track combo.

The Alpine is just an amazing car to drive. Hadn't given it much thought but threw some money at it and ended-up falling in love with the thing. As it sits I've done all the weight reductions and added some (not all) power. Throw in the handling bits and you've got 2100lb, 400hp wondermobile that squeaks in just below the PP700 mark:

Today I've taken the Sauber C9 out for a quick run set at 800pp it creamed everyone round high speed ring. Zero stops win by two laps on RM's moderate rain didn't impact the car much, pretty sure I only got at most 90% of this cars potential out of it. First two laps on FM3 then 6 for the remainder. Wheel was 10k

Bought the Nissan R92 CP to finish up my Nissan Motorsport menu book and got 1 million from the 6 star ticket and finishing up the weekly playlist today. So many cars I still want from brand central and legendary dealership too 😭 🤣

had little time for couple laps..
it's pretty solid lap with 919 hybrid .. I still think if I would nail tune, wind and almost perfect lap 5:13 is possible
pre March 2023 I did 5:08 then handling was changed

Already did this run,
18 laps on RH, then 12 laps on RM tyres.
The time difference to 2 stopping was barely recogniseable and could just as well explained by different winddirection or strength, or more or less luck with how the AI performed.

BUT, now I still want to test
18 laps on RH/RM, then 12 laps on RM/RM 😅
Edit: did this now, I was noticeably faster, clinging in the slipstream of the BMW, but either because of the additional speed, or because the car wass unbalanced by different compounds front and rear, lap 18 was actually worse than RH/RH as the tyrewear was a bit more severe.

This track (Autopolis) is a real pain in ass... Even the winning prize isn't so tempting...
I abandoned it to chase the winning in WTC 900 in Le Mans...
This Ford GT40 is waiting for me...

I took the Pennzoil to LeMans for the 700 pp race. I was able to get 6 laps on FM6 but I made a big mistake. I had about a 50 second lead when it first started raining around lap 4 but I decided to stay out and hope that the rain wouldn't be too bad. Big mistake I lost almost all of my lead due to the rain. It let on lap 5 but the tracks was still wet so I had to pit at the end of the lap because I didn't have enough fuel to make to the end of the race. I dropped to 10th with about 4 minutes left so I had a chance to maybe get to 1st but I came into Virage de Mulsanne too fast and went wide and hit the wall. There was about 3 minutes left so my race was over:grumpy: so I quit. But I did get a 6 🌟🎫 and 500k cr from it. I tried the 900 pp LeMans race with the Tomahawk S and got to lap 5 and I quit because my wife was taking some my attention from the game. I also bought like my 11th Capucino. I need to replace the swap one I was using in my custom races. I was doing a race the other day at Laguna Seca and the swapped car was like 50 seconds ahead of me in 2nd place and pulling away🤣 So I was thinking I might need to change that

I started a 'GT3 Time Trial' contest for myself - Gr.3, 730 PP limit, RM tyres, 3 lap limit (4 for cars who can't reach the 730 PP limit). First circuit was Spa-Francorchamps 24h layout, Afternoon. All cars should be stock, except for power restrictions to bring some down to the 730 PP limit and some downforce changes to tweak some others upwards.

Here's the results:
  1. Audi R8 LMS Evo - 2:16.904
  2. Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 - 2:17.447
  3. Porsche 911 RSR (991) - 2:17.608
  4. Lamborghini Huracan GT3 - 2:18.004
  5. BMW M6 GT3 Sprint Model - 2:18.277
  6. McLaren 650S GT3 - 2:18.307
  7. Mercedes-AMG GT3 - 2:18.333
  8. Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 - 2:18.986
  9. Ford Mustang GT3 - 2:20.363
The Audi was very quick and it was a pretty effortless win for it, though the Aston was surprising fast - but for a couple of minor errors, it could have taken P1.

These 9 cars make recreating this year's Fanatec GT World Challenge races very realistic, but for the absence of the Ferrari 296 GT3 - a car I would dearly love to see in GT7!!

-

I started this yesterday and got a 6* (Engine) ticket for the DM (yielding an MR2 engine worth 135,000 Cr.) and today I got a 6* ticket, yielding 500,000 Cr.

Attempted a GT3 700PP race with RM for 2 laps, then all out RS on the last lap. The mid-engine car is a bit too tail-happy, so my throttle work has to be extra delicate. I would have enough time for 1st Place if I didn't spin out too hard. 🤣

Today Sardinia 800pp in the Sauber, easy win but not a great run, hit the wall on four laps destroying my total race time. Car is fast and fuel efficient I'm sure it can run a 24 minutes total race time but I'm not there yet. Wheel gave me 10k

LOL...so, was going on about how awesome the Alpine A110 is. Then I discovered they let you shoehorn the GT-R motor between your head and the rear bumper. Oh my....let the upgrades begin!!!

You end-up with a 1042hp land missile that happily cruises along Route X at 270mph+ all by itself with zero nitrous. There's plenty left in the tach/gearing for this thing to blow past 300 pretty easily in the slip'. Added the mid-wing and skirts for stability and it's a nice drive around the course. IMPOSSIBLE amount of power to use pretty much anywhere else, tho. 👍

EDIT
Just realized the power to weight ratio for this thing is about 2hp/pound. 🙃

Today, Sardinia 800pp in the Sauber, 25:40 all in on a one stop, got caught up in traffic a couple of times, couple of botched laps.... I'm not consistent enough with more than ten seconds between my best and worst laps.
LeMan 700pp in a BMW CSL (swapped), cars good for 190mph but isn't keen on corners or straight lines for that matter, big rims and as much down force on the rear as the standard spolier will allow. Traction on 2 and tried to avoid burning the back tyres out. Three laps had me right up with the lead group of three cars. Pitted and went super lean, FM6 double shift and stayed on hard slicks despite overcast threats of rain. Few spots of rain but blew through almost without raining went 8 laps in total winning by 40 seconds as the 2nd place car pitted end of 7, I finished on 3% fuel. The BMW is fun but hard work significantly slower than a group 4 car in the bends just after the start but quicker on the straights providing you can get the power on without disturbing the cars balance it's fast enough to win.
Back to Sardinia this time in the Alpine VGT, this car is short geared for what it is, needing 3rd from 50mph so would probably benefit from a gearbox swap 175mph in 7th on the main straight seemed sustainable although the revs are bouncing up and down all over the lap, plenty of grip but didn't feel fast. Fraga kept coming back at me after his fuel stops. My tyres kept well and lasted the entire race, 6 laps worth of fuel to start and then 9 on FM6 to run to the end.
Won by 11 seconds in the end.
