Was doing a WTC700 race at Sardegna fields, it's a great track very enjoyable and it was a 15 lap race, was doing well in my MAZDA RX-VISION GT3 Concept, got up to 5th in the race and then got pitted by that damn Igor Fraga again at Turn 1 on the last lap. The cheeky sod did it on purpose so I chased and returned the favour to him on Turn 5 and led my way back up to 4th and finished the race. It was a fun race till he got his grubby Supra to hit my backside.

Really need to tweak the AI's stupidity in this game. I feel they drive very blind with human racers, no real spacial awareness in these long races.

Also cracked and got GOLD on the NSX-R and fat red SUPRA Final Exam (A-9 and A-10 respectivly) and goofily won a BRZ STI and felt slightly dissapointed. Then went to GT Auto to swap out it's ugly stock rims.

In 9 minutes I completed Circuit Experiences on 9 tracks.

It was exhausting, which explains why it took a few days to report here…

I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you for still being so much into playing GT Games.
Wow, 79 and still hungry and so good and fast.
Respect.
My Father is 83 and he has absolutely no idea what Video Games are 😅
So great and absolutely inspiring seeing an old Fart like you still getting a hell of a Fun out of playing Video Games.
I honestly believe that one day when I turn your age, you’ll most probably be sitting 6feet under by that time, but I promise you, I’ll light a Candle for you and say a Prayer just for you Mr. GBO Possum.
You’re amazing me.
My biggest respect for you staying young at heart and open minded for the greatest Hobby in our Life, at least for me.
Cheers 🥂 and wish you 79 more years 😁 to come.

I did the 30min race around Le Mans last night 4 times. Dang it was great fun too. I think its my go to for getting credits now.

The first race was an easy win in my F430, then I took out my 22b for another easy win, that was followed with my RX-7 Spirit R which also won, then the trusty old Porsche GT3. I made a mistake by pitting for inters at the end of lap 2 and as it turned out, it didn't rain for the entire race so my tires wore out QUICK. I wound up finishing in 3rd for 330,000cr (I think).

Damn fun race that one. I love it.

Being Friday now, I just want to get home and crack a beer and try out the new 60min Spa race.

Thank you very much for your kind words. Your father is not alone in being elderly and not into video games. I realize I'm an outlier. I only have one friend my age who is a gamer. But it keeps me young, and racing games tune up my driving, especially for the winter roads.

At my age, my reaction times are not comparable to youngsters, so I dial down the difficulty and play games which rely much more on planning and anticipation, games such as GT, Skyrim, Fallout, Assassins Creed etc. But not shooters!

And be aware that I just squeak through Bronze, so I am neither "good" nor "fast", but it's still fun. You can plan to be an old fart too.

I finally got gold in the Nurburgring CE, the fast left turn in sector 6 is my arch nemesis, I almost never get it right and thus loose a few seconds of my lap there. I was 0.026 milliseconds away from gold for two days! And I finally beat gold by 0.024 milliseconds
The positive part, I got the 5 million credits, and I know the Ring like the back of my hand now, I could never actually memorize the turns after the karousel, but thanks to the CE, I did :dopey:

Think I've found a new favourite Gp.4. Not as nimble as some others, but this thing is properly planted - don't even need a hint of TC!

Used it for the daily Le Mans cash grind (twice, with epic rain on the second go), then did the gp.4 Sport Daily Race. Flew past this guy Marc in his WRX and then proceeded to drive away from him while he was angrily flashing his lights in my rear-view mirror! Clean race and second place. 👍

To be honest with you, i was more impressed with your age, and still have that kind of a passion for gaming, and especially grinding GT.
Ah, but I don't really "grind". For me, going for Bronze is a welcome challenge, going for Silver is a grind and going for Gold is often sheer frustration.

So I choose events for the pleasure of driving, or for enjoying visual experiences, not the financial reward.

That's why I enjoy Custom Races

I believe I was the first person on the internet to find a new engine swap. I won a Honda K20C1 and proceeded to check compatibility on every Honda and all ff cars in my garage. Turns out PD added the 98 Integra type R to this engines compatibility, I guess in the recent update.

Among the letdowns like a another round of the absolute worst reward on the wheel of misfortune and the tugboat life of the new car settings i finally figured out why my 100k nitrous (that i won in a roulette!) didn't work..

In Time Trials they are apparently forbidden and simply doesn't show up. So imagine my surprise when i was cleaning up a few events and my BRZ suddenly had Nitro in those races, cue bass music playing and girls with less fiber on their body than in a packet of Kellogg's..

Finished the first season of my custom races championship, won by the ‘15 Mustang GT. it got a bit lucky as the 3000GT missed the last few races in the draw for grid slots and that let the Stang catch up and win the inaugural title.

Set up season 2, will run 3 championships based on engine size with the modified Camaro SS and near standard ZL1 likely to be at the front of the Gold championships.

My first thought was "as a taxi carrying drunken people around a town near you!" but then...

Why do we not have a Taxi League!?

Requirements for entry are a stock Toyota Prius on comfort soft tires with a Taxi livery! Race them around the world! May the best taxi service win!
Aha! Taxi Livery on 20 different garage cars, then set up a Custom Race on an urban track…

How I love “photo mode”! 😂

- Reached 88% completion on Circuit Experience. Just have Circuit de la Sarthe and Nurburgring left.

- It wasn’t my plan at first, but I’ve decided to just embrace the car collection aspect since the game forces you to keep one of each car that you buy/win anyway. So I bought all Toyotas and Nissans from Brand Central, bringing my car collection to 230 unique cars.

Yesterday - back to that again - did the Tomahawk Chop at Tokyo for about 7 million. I became so used to the Tokyo grind that I began fantasizing that secret agent Stryker was after V. Gallo in the NSX, "Figallo" as I jokingly call him, who was actually Blofeld in a genetically renovated body and flaunting his lawlessness to the world in the open as a billionaire playboy. Bond was off saving the world you see, so CIA agent Stephen Stryker took up the challenge to derail his nefarious podium finishes in typical Bond movie fashion by pitting him however I could. My favorite is to nudge him into the barrier on pit lane without incident to my CIA modified Tomahawk.

Meanwhile, I became aware of the identity of R. Kokubun from Japan, Reika or "Rose", who was actually an alien sent to observe us Earthlings and using motorsports to open doors for her. However she has an aire of mystique about her because she never removes her helmet. Hey, this is a flight of fancy, but bear with me.

So I've been flirting with her over radio as I'm occasionally harassing Blofeld when he's in my sights, and she's been brushing me off, less and less though. And in the last race, after sending Blofeld into the wall before the straight, she agreed to have a liaison with a dinner at a four star Michelin restaurant, private room for discretion and all, and I sidled up alongside her as I was playing this out. We were going down the slope towards the finish line, and she slowed down and matched pace with me. And actually allowed Blofeld's sidekick Suswillo in his GT-R to shoot past us for a second place finish! That was kind of a woah moment.

Then I bought a shedload of groceries for two weeks, and that was exhausting getting all that unloaded and put away, likely a good hundred-plus pounds of food. So I was spent, and that ended my day of tangling with supervillains and aliens.
