What did you do in GT7 today?

Did a few WTC 600 races to get some more credits, just in case. I also decided to nab the Fairlady Z432 and the DB5, since those two piqued my interest. The DB5 will be resting in my garage for now, but the Z432 won't. The Fairlady is a fun drive. Love the looks, too.

I also made a livery for another car that I find to be visually appealing, the Genesis Gr3 car. Understeers like mad, but it's decently quick.

Looking forward to the Legendary dealer refresh tomorrow, can't wait to get the 155 and have a blast with it. Assuming it goes up for sale, that is. Same with the Supra GT500 too!

Did the WTC700 Lemans again with a 0 stop strat.
I reduced power a bit to make me slower, still won by over 40seconds.
So I will try again tomorrow, assuming no rain on the next run, I am hoping to get that gap down.

As for how this strat will work with rain.
No clue, I wont have to refuel, so I should make up time.

I really like your playstation livery. did you make it for other cars as well?

Been grinding daily race B for a little today, mainly for the trophy. Got myself to a ranking of B and S, never had such dirty races as the first time I raced with other B drivers. Luckily things got better and I had a couple of really good races. Got a couple of wins and fastest laps as well!

Yesterday - back to that again - bought at Hagerty's
  • Nissan (Datsun) Fairlady Z 432 '69, a bargain compared to
  • Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe '64 - thought that one over for a minute, 20 million!
Then did the Tomahawk Chop on Blofeld - I mean, V. Gallo at Tokyo for about 4 million to replenish the bank account, slightly. I did my best to make Rose happy and behave myself, for the most part. Speed in that "death machine" as she calls it is just too addictive, even for a timid racer like me. Ran out of steam at that point and called the night early.

Finished working over my Mazda RX-7 Spirit R '02 and took it for a test drive.

The only reason I bought this car was because the Wheel of Misfortune gave me an R26B-787B motor, and this was my first opportunity to do an engine swap. Of course that led to some big expenditures to make the RX-7 worthy of the motor.

Good grief, it's quick!

Won the Kei-car Human Comedy race, by 55 seconds. Previous best I had managed was third, but I finally got the tune right on the S660 I suppose. Fastest lap was 2:24.x but most were 2:26-28 depending on tire wear. $500k since I had already won the bronze/silver.

Had some more time today so did several things.

  • Started off the day with 5 rounds in the Tomahawk on Tokyo Expressway. I'm still working towards getting back to the 100 million credits, but I'm pretty much buying everything that's available so that will be a challenge. Roulette tickets are not helping as we all know. 10.000 credits today, again.

  • Decided to get back to Italy, Sardegna. Tried it with the Nissan GT-R Nismo, as it was a gift car. Tuned it to my preference and finished 4th. I forgot the strategy so tried it again and comfortably finished 1st. Took some photos as well, you can find them here.

  • After two rounds of Sardegna a took a 2 hour break. After the break i was going to France, Le Mans. Did the 30 minutes race 4 times with the Alpine A220 Race Car. This thing is really nice to drive!! Also took photos from the events, find them here.
Let me know what you think of the photos, I'm really thinking I'm improving on them, but i found the quality really bad. How do you guys upload to the forum?

Credits to @praiano63 for the tunes for the Alpine. >> TUNES <<

Could you share your tuning? I’ve also engine swapped the rx7 but it’s a bit of a handful

This tuning journey has only just started.

I'm at this point with PP=800.00
  • Power = 840 (managed by ECU at 85%)
  • Stage 4 weight reduction
  • Added 4kgs biased 21 to the rear
  • Gearing to 320 km/h
  • Added front and rear downforce and maxed them out
  • RS tires all round
  • Fully customized suspension, stock settings
  • Racing brakes, pads, clutch and flywheel
  • Standard diff
  • I think that's it
I have yet to use this beast in a serious race, but I figured I should throw everything at it which sounded like it'd help me keep it touching the tarmac and stop it from flying.

Edit: So it's not all doom and gloom, here's a picture of my Gulf 86 as I slice through the field of one of today's races. Started 11th out of 12 and finished 1st - weaved my way through first corner chaos and escaped with my Clean Race bonus intact!

Nice Gulf livery!! I like the reversed colours on the sides (I’ve done a couple alternate Gulfs, but never considered doing this!) I think I’m gonna use this as a basis for my next Gulf livery!!

Cheers. I went through a big series of Red Bull liveries, but have gone back to Gulf for a classier touch on a few cars. I quite like the darker sides and lighter top that were used on the Vantages running in the WEC a few years ago - it's inspired quite a few of my GT liveries, including this monster of a thing (realised all my invitations were all running out so bought a few posh cars from Brand Central)...

The Gp.4s at Le Mans didn't see which way it went (spoiler: it went back to the pits to refuel - very regularly)! 😂

Bought the Alfa 155 and took it to the Le Mans WTC700. Managed to win very easily (1 minute and 10 seconds ahead of second place). No penalties, very little contact, and two rainstorms. No problem.

Car feels great. It will sometimes get squirrelly under braking in some scenarios, but it is otherwise stable.

(Last night, not today... but probably will also be tonight:)

Grinding some events at Le Mans to save up for the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto CN.2521 (8.2 million Cr.), but ended up with even less money than I started after buying the Aston Martin DB5 (970,000 Cr.). And now the Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2 Carrozzata da Zagato CN.AR750106 (3.1 million Cr.) is available too, I will still focus on the Ferrari first and hope there's enough time left to also get the Alfa, though given I may not be able to play over this weekend, it could be tight.
