Saturday night I completed 4 out of 5 weekly challenge races. I left the 1 hr at Mount Panorama to be done on Sunday.

I also made 2 liveries based on (inspired by) the Viper GTS R '00 Oreca that we had back in GT3.

I decided to see what Lemans is like a reverse config, it's ok, couple of tricky corners with the apex being obscured by contours and bumps.

Also as a quirk entered the pit lane in reverse gear, auto drive takes over and drives through the pit in cockpit view, something you don't usually see during pit stops.

Watching a replay of the 2019 24hours at Nurburgring gave me the incentive to make a custom race of the same but much shorter in time....
Maybe a lobby race of this week appear....

Before starting my time-trial day on the GTP account, I cashed in the last 3 login gifts. The engine ticket gave a 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT3 engine, promptly put into a waiting Mercedes-Benz 190 E, while the all-cash 5-star Wheel of Despair gave the middle-finger/lowest-possible 100,000 Cr.

As for the time trials, I barely broke into the 1:48s at Catralunya, which should be good enough for a very marginal silver. At Tsukuba, I got within a half-second of provisional gold. The 6-star Wheel of Despair was anything but golden - all of the showing cash prizes were impossible to get, and the DeLorean was the legal booby prize, selling for a mere 237,530 Cr. (which, actually, was a far sight better than the 175,810 Cr. it was going for recently).

On the Plus account, the login "gifts" were worse - the engine was an excess Camaro engine, and the all-cash 5-star Wheel of Despair once again gave the middle-finger 100,000 Cr. For the Wheel of Despair, I ran a Daily Race C in a rental Mustang Gr.3, starting 16th. I was 2 seconds a lap off the pace in a mixed C/D room when I had a clean track, but I kept it clean and took the checkered in 10th (with 2 dropouts), upgraded to 9th when somebody forgot to pit. The all-cash 4-star wasn't quite the usual despair, but the 4th-highest-showing prize was also the 2nd-lowest possible, at 30,000 Cr.

So had a long good session on GT7, which comprimised of the 60min weekly race at Mount bloody Panorama. Gosh do I miss a good endurance race, just not at this track lol. Tried to stay consistent as possible. Won it but not sure how quick I was overall, still a good little battle racing chasing podium.
  • Did the Neo classic race again to qulify for the endurance prize.
  • Also got some nice creds from roulette tickets on login and racing.
  • Bought two Red bulls X cars to get the completed cafe ticket.
  • Won a Mill in my lucky stakes so thats cool.
  • Daily race C at monza with the RCF was good, but car is abit skittish on corners. Finished 8th cuase i spun out on lap 6!
  • Did daily Race A again was fun and hectic and got 5th.

Me I fitted a widebody kit to a BMW M3 and giggled like a adolescent boy would on getting a glimpse of his first pair of lovely jubblies in the flesh on a girl he fancied .

The Animation is without a doubt the funniest thing I have ever seen in GT , like since I started playing 25 years ago .

You ?

I fitted my RX7 with a Nitrogen System! I continuilly test it to make sure it's working and it does. It just gives a boost in speed acceleration. Pretty fun!

The WTC 800 special event at Mount Panorama is easily the worst Special Event so far. On the GTP account, it took close to 600 miles to get a dodgy win in a stock 2020 Mercedes-AMG GT3, doing 28 laps in 1:01:09, screwing up the fuel map (I should have had it at 4 all the way), catching a break with the leader stuck behind somebody out of fuel on the penultimate lap. Despite a couple of minor offs, wall scrapes, and a love-tap on a lapped car, I somehow got the CRB.

The other Special Events weren't a picnic either:
  • Sardegna European Sunday Cup 500 in 3:39 with a stock Peugeot 208 (and Hizal's A 45 AMG buried in the field)
  • Catalunya World Rally Challenge Gr.B in an unclean 6:47 with a stock (other than dirt tires) Toyota 86 Gr.B
  • Deep Forest The Silvia Sisters in an unclean 5:09 with a Nissan Silvia spec-R Aero (S15) tuned to 634 PP
  • Willow Springs Neo-Classic Competition in...you guessed it...an unclean 12:27 with a stock Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM on FM 5 (which could have been turned up to FM 4)
The good news is I got a 6-star workout ticket out of it. The bad - instead of getting the only legal cash prize of 1,000,000 Cr., I got a Tomahawk Gr.1, which I hung onto for tuning purposes rather than dump for 621,680 Cr.

On the Plus account, I tried for speed:
  • Sardegna in 2:50 with a stock Aston Martin Valkyrie
  • Catalunya in an unclean 6:56 with a Ford Focus Gr.B tuned to 606 PP on dirt tires
  • Deep Forest in an "unclean" 4:40 with a maxed-out non-swap Nissan Silvia spec-R Aero (S15), with RS tires and 733 PP
  • Willow Springs in 12:23 with a stock Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM on a no-stop FM 4 strategy
  • Mount Panorama in 1:00:11 with the same CLK-LM on a no-stop (FM 6) strategy, lapping everybody except the rest of the podium
The all-cash 4-star ticket wasn't a disappointment for a change; while I missed out on the 1,000,000 Cr., I did get the next-largest-showing/possible 500,000 Cr.

Ran the Formula race at Dragon Trail as the first of the weekly races.

I got so annoyed with the SF19's power delivery in low speed corners that I ended my session and went to bed shortly after.

At some point, I started dreaming (nightmares) that I was driving an unmodified Challenger Demon. I could swear that I heard myself mumbling and grumbling "Traction Problems" in my sleep.

I got the clean race bonus at Bathurst. I feel special.
Jedi / Sith levels of concentration to dodge brake-checks and back marker blockers for an hour...

GT7's AI will punish the rest of us for your crazy achievement

The same I do for a long time...
Ruled the Nordschleife like a man.
Many arrived with high hopes, only to get a reality check...
The Nordschleife...
No place for hot heads
A place for the composed and respectfully minded drivers.
