Why did you have to buy it?
Because it's needed for the Vanquish race in this week's challenge races. It's a one make race.

Fair enough, haven't looked at them yet, thought you meant for the TT.

Had a great lobby races with some friends and manageed to get 2nd place in a replicated Daily Race B GR4 style comp! My first race I got 6th and was being chased by A+ drivers, so I'll take this! The GTR did hold it well!

Made 2M in less than a minute at the Chaparral TT. Kick it over to AT and you can go full caveman on this one...smash gas, point car. There is no lifting. There is no braking. There is just going...to the bank.🤣

Seriously, what's up with this one? I saw the spread on medal targets and had to double check the map to make sure it didn't include the infield. How the hell is there a 5 second spread on a tri-oval TT?? I guess I expected everyone to be racing to the hundredths on this one.

If you haven't tried it yet, it's well worth the five minutes you'll need to invest. First two laps I ran were 40.8xx and 40.6xx.👍

Too bad I don't have a ps5 yet, I'm missing out on an opportunity for some easy cash, but there is next time. Glad you made it in the gold range though. Oh well, ain't nothing I can do about it.

Sunday morning and I went back to Autopolis short just like last week. This time I brought 3 Corvettes and put them to the test. All cars on sport medium tyres and TCS 1.

The C7 Stingray (620pp) had some engine parts in order to increase power. I used to drive it around Mount Panorama in the American Clubman event. I remember this car was nice to drive but today it was kind of a uncomfortable drive. I don't mind this car being the lowest on power of today's batch, but turning were an issue. Maybe some update along the way changed it.
Lap time (620pp) 1:15:422

The C6 ZR-1 '09 (633pp) was fully stock, except for the already said sport medium rubber. Another case of turning in being troublesome. TC were a must.
Lap time (633pp stock) 1:13:829. The GTR Nismo from last week clocked a 13:826 however it was a waaay better drive.

The C7 ZR-1 '19 (657pp) guess what? TC on, difficult to turn in, lots of power and then lots of coasting middle turns. Despite that, it was not only the fastest of the day but also the fastest overall. My previous best were the Nismo I just mentioned (1:13:826)
Lap time 1:12:566

Final comment: Even though the C7 ZR-1 were faster, I still prefer the GTR Nismo. Actually the whole set of the Nissans were nicer, and the whole set of Vettes were not. Despite them having more power, I think maybe power isn't everything in a super sport car.

The last update to make changes to the physics, in my experience, made tire temperature of greater impact. Since then I've found the tires to be less grippy on lap 1 vs. lap 3.

Did you try multiple laps to see if warming the tires up helped?

In these Autopolis test drives of mine I drive my cars around for 5-7 laps each.

After a few attempts I took the win at the 1hr endurance at Tsukuba in The Human Comedy. Gearing up to practice Trial Mountain in the BAC Mono today for the 2nd installment of THC.

Did 3 of the weeklies, got my money, and a 4 star which gave me a merlotrot Z4. Sold it since I already had a blue Z4. Then decided to use up some of the parts in my garage. I now have light-tuned most of my cars.

Returned to the yellow Nismo 400R I maxed out a few days ago and decided to try my hand at livery editing.

Couldn't decide on a base colour so went from lightening yellow to midnight purple, even though I have a stock midnight purple 400R...

Decided I didn't like the 400R with full custom parts AND midnight purple paint, so slapped a decal on the front half that fades around the door handles. Couldn't decide on what colour best matches the midnight purple, so went with a close-to-stock lightning yellow. Started placing decals to break it up and create a design.

Realized I didn't like any of it and sold the car.

Played some RoboCop while wondering why I sold the car instead of just removing the custom body parts and leaving the car yellow...

Sunday night and I had my customary second GT7 session. I drove the Integra Type R '95 around Nordschleife, recorded and uploaded my best (yet far from flawless) lap.

Since I started recording these I always had some tuning work done in my cars, however this one was fully stock on comfort soft tyres. Still a very nice ride.

Did many runs of Trial Mountain Reverse's US 550PP Clubman Cup along with some custom runs on Tsukuba, In 24 hours I did approx 2 to 2.2 Millions easily. I use the PP trickery along with transmission limiting method on a Porsche Living Legend with my cars when I do Custom Racing. Did a 19 Lapper of the track starting in Dawn Torrential Rain, ending up in a dry-humid and sunny weather with a few clouds, I accidentally slammed into the Porsche but I hit the wall to put the at-fault on them.

Turns out even if I went Off-Track from the collision in the backstraight, I managed to trick the game by tossing my car into the wall and I still got the clean bonus giving a total of 520k'ish Credits. (Track Experience total credits multiplier is at 375%)

I did a bit more grinding at Sardegna and promptly spent the money at the Legends Dealer for a Mustang, two Hakosukas, the A220, and the DS. None of this was planned. I then put in a gold time at each sector of the Le Mans CE only to fall 4 seconds short of the gold time in the one complete lap I did. I’ll be back, but does anyone know if that’s considered a tougher one? I got full gold at Goodwood. Then I built a replica 997 GT3 RS 4.0. Turns out you can Norwand stroke it to 3.989cc. Pretty rad.
