Currently drive a '10 G37 sedan. Still waiting for PD to add the Skyline 350GT back.

It’s close enough in the game, 2017 BMW M3 F80 comp. It’s not my daily driver but I love the car, fortunately I get a company car to take the door dings and free gas…

No, because PD seem to have forgotten that Subaru has made other cars besides the Impreza/WRX and BRZ. The last time my car was in a GT game was GT6 as a standard model.

72 Vette. Both vert and non in the game (Supposedly, the non vert is on every list but is still hiding) are 69’s, but I can make it look close enough whenever it shows up (Minus the hood). At least they’re small blocks as well (Though not a 406 so tough to match the 550hp/530ft-lbs without a supercharger). Wheels have changed since this but the new ones are in the game.

My daily driver truck (Just a Silverado Z71) isn’t in the game of course since despite forcing you to do truck only races they only put 2 in the game 🙄.

2016 Focus ST. Yep. Looking forward to getting one and taking it for a spin.

I need to wash it and take a pic as I realised I don’t have one.

Profile pic is a RX8 PZ (close relative in the game) that I used to have that was great until I had a 2 hour each way commute. That thing gulped petrol and slurped oil like an 80s Ferrari.

It’s not in GT7 but let’s write it in GT style anyway. 😅 My car is a black with orange trim Mercedes-Benz CLA 180 Edition 1 (C118) ‘19 as seen in my thumbnail.

The engine was the smallest diesel engine available at the time, the 1.5L OM608 I4 Turbo producing up to 114 bhp. It’s been produced by Renault and joked by Mercedes enthousiasts. But I like the engine, I’ve driven a lot of FF cars with diesel engines in the 90-115 bhp range before, like the Opel Astra Mk3, Volkswagen Golf Mk3, Ford Focus (both Mk1 & Mk3) and Renault Megane (both Mk2 & facelifted Mk3) and to be honest this CLA in Sport setting is by far the quickest and most responsive of the bunch.

I don’t own this car myself, it’s a company car. ☺️ I was absolutely surprised a “coupé“ was allowed at my current employer, for previous employers that was not allowed, sometimes even being forced to choose the wagon variant.

The reason I took the smallest engine is because in Belgium we have speed limits with speed cameras and speed zones all over the country, plus during rush hours there is either a traffic jam or slow traffic anyway. So I decided that a bigger engine or the 4WD upgrade wasn’t worth it. Instead I decided to use all my remaining budget on options. This is probably one of the most expensive CLA’s in regards to option list driving around in Belgium. 😅 The catalogue price of the barebone CLA Coupe was 32k EUR at the time if I’m not mistaken. Mine costs 50k EUR after the Edition 1 package (which already comes with interior and exterior AMG styling), the premium pack with sunroof, Burmester sound system, auxiliary remote app-controlled heating system (which is great in winter since the car is parked outside), 360° camera, augmented reality navigation, Google & Apple car play and a bunch of other options. So, about 40% of the cost of this car are the options. 😂

I ordered the car in May 2019 after doing a test drive with the latest A-class since the new CLA wasn’t out yet, not even in the dealer showroom. That new CLA was in the showroom a few months later and my car was delivered by the end of August 2019. My temporary car until the CLA was delivered was a 2nd gen Volvo V60. Really nice car as well but I disliked the big touch screen in the middle of the console, it got dirty very quickly. Volvo knew this since a cleaning cloth for the screen was delivered with the vehicle as well. 😅

Even though the Edition 1 trim seems to be extremely rare here in Belgium, last summer I found my brother from the same mother in my hometown at a grocery store. Couldn’t help but park right next to it for the picture. ☺️

So the car is almost 3 years old. Company cars typically go for a period of 4 to 5 years here in Belgium and then you need to choose a new one. Due to the pandemic I have been working a lot from home so my mileage the past 2 years has been much lower than usual. So I think they will ask me to drive it for 5 years, which is fine.

Not sure yet what I will choose after this one (brand has to be Mercedes, BMW or Audi at my current employer). I think I might jump the SUV bandwagon and go for a Audi Q3, BMW X3 or Mercedes GLC.

Love it!
The current Mercedes interiors are so cool.
We ordered a brand new GLA 180 AMG line Premium Plus last August & finally received a delivery date last fo April 29th it's been a long wait we excited that it will be here soon.
It was the dashboard & interior that sold it for us with the big screens & ambient lighting it looks so good & all the other brands we looked at don't even come close in terms of design & quality.

Very nice. I have BMW M3 F80 Comp, but in silverstone. Looks much better IRL than pics, colour changes slightly in different lights.

Did want black myself, went to see one and would have bought. But when the BMW garage did their 'approved' car check, turned out engine had been remapped and suspension changed, so wouldn;t have been covered on BMW official warranty (although garage said they'd cover it...).

They then got the silverstone in stock and I was unsure about colour in pics, but really liked it IRL. Absoloutely love it, did 10k miles in 1st year of ownership, hardly any work commutes either due to lockdown. Like you say, downside is being much more wary of where I park it compared to my old 1.8 civic, but positives vastly outweigh that.

Driven it most days, but hasn;t lost its sense of occasion, enjoyment at all.

Yeah I agree the new line of all-screen dashboards with MBUX and interior ambient lights from Mercedes looks really great! The promo pics of the new CLA back in 2019 sold me and that test drive in the A class was the confirmation. I already drove the 1st gen CLA for a week (replacement car) and the difference between both gens is huge (also in driving comfort).

I‘m sure the new GLA will be amazing, I looked at the GLA back in 2019 as well but that was the previous gen and I didn’t look further at it because of that reason.

After years of driving very old Honda Accords until the wheels fell off, I finally decided to treat myself and purchased a Black 2020 Kia Stinger GT. Going from <200hp in an FF car to 365hp in a RWD car with twin-turbos was a HUGE change and one that I embrace happily every day. Driving is so much more fun than it used to be, but it did hurt to pay significantly more than I ever had for a car.

You know that Kia/ Hyundai got Albert Biermann, he was one of the best M engineers BMW ever had head up the M division, he has helped transform Kia and Hyundai into a very formidable company performance wise. Reliability and performance are great in the stinger, excellent choice and you can’t put a price on happiness; enjoy! I use to live in Lakeway growing up fyi…

I had read that before but didn't know much about his history with BMW. Great to know! My wife and I both own Kia's now and have not had a single issue with either car, so we are both very happy with our purchases. The other one is a 2017 Kia Sportage.

Cool! A fellow Texan. Although I'm not from here, I've lived here for 16 years so some would consider me an honorary Texan by now. I absolutely love this area :)

At the moment i'm driving a $350 '02 Cavalier, don't really care that it's not in GT.. though i am impressed with how much it pulls, even in third gear ☺

Had a '98 civic dx and a '92 bmw 318i in the past but my favourite two cars i ever had were both 1981 Corolla liftbacks.

So fun to drive and super easy to work on, can't wait to get one again

Yea man, I had a g35 irl. The 350z in this game feels way more loose than the g35 ever was even with tc completely disabled by unplugging the thingy under the dashboard. Not sure whats up with this snap oversteer for every rwd car they have going on in gt7
I was saying the same thing, except I still own the G35 😂😂

I'm personally thinking it's likely they'll add the Legacy B4 Blitzen, at least.

Anyway, at the moment, I drive my parents' 2008 Honda Odyssey. The last time any Odyssey was in GT, it was in GT4, and it was a JDM-exclusive version. But I'd love to see a Mugen Odyssey get added - that'd be more than good enough for me.
