wow everytime i post, i seem to touch off some sensitive nerves here.i'm just telling my experiences,as they happened.what can i say the fool could not loose me,i was on his or her rear bumper,it was a black t/a with those snarling scoops on the hood-UGH!all the badging was there, the dual ex tips, facty alloys-etc. i almost missed the exit to my mom's house!
i've driven my share of detroit iron,i doesn't impress me anymore.
pushrods belong in truck engines,i'd love to own a hemi, but i prefer 4 or 5 valves per cylinder in a V8 or V12.
like i mentioned before, i work on these damn domestics and they keep breaking down.i put a tranny in it and a week later the motor blows up!so DAMN UNRELIABLE.
the new hondas are not any better either.at least hondas are a lot better to work on and the fixes for them are a lot simpler.

i guess NOBODY here PAYS ATTENTION,i NEVER claimed to BEAT the t/a,i said he/she could NOT loose me.
READ IT AGAIN illiterate ****s!

"i guess NOBODY here PAYS ATTENTION,i NEVER claimed to BEAT the t/a,i said he/she could NOT loose me.
READ IT AGAIN illiterate ****s!"

And all I said was that the person was either afraid to open it up or they were playing with you.

From my experience with the TA we own your Accord has no chance in hell of comming close to keeping up with it.

Possibly the reason you keep hitting a nerve is because you say **** like "READ IT AGAIN illiterate ****s!"
It's not what you say but it's how you say it.

Have you ever read the note at the bottom of the screen when you post? Just in case you haven't here it is.

A special note to kalikarter :
Are you getting ready to post a degrading, harsh, or downright stupid comment?
Think before you speak! GTPlanet is only as good as you make it.

And I'm telling you simple sentence structure: capital letters come only to start a new sentence and at the beginning of proper nouns. There are two spaces after a period and one space after a comma.

what can i say the fool could not loose me,i was on his or her rear bumper,it was a black t/a with those snarling scoops on the hood-UGH!all the badging was there, the dual ex tips, facty alloys-etc. i almost missed the exit to my mom's house!

Well, I'm sure he was driving as fast as he could attempting to lose you.

Maybe it's your fault, rather than the car's.

the new hondas are not any better either.at least hondas are a lot better to work on and the fixes for them are a lot simpler.[/b]

If Hondas aren't any better, why are you arguing how much better Japanese cars are than the "DAMN UNRELIABLE detroit iron?"

i guess NOBODY here PAYS ATTENTION,i NEVER claimed to BEAT the t/a,i said he/she could NOT loose me.
READ IT AGAIN illiterate ****s!

Whoa! And we're the sensitive nerves?

kalikarter you are getting on our nerves, can't we be civil about this?

Also I would like to thank Gil and DGB454 for being the true muscle car guys here and a thanks to M5 for beating some sense into me and trying to beat so into kali.

I also have driven a T/A, a 1998 Black WS6 and my god that thing flew. I was like holy crap that thing went 0-60-120 that fast. It was jaw dropping and this was back when I had my Civic.

Also pushrods don't belong in trucks, if any engine belongs in a truck its a huge turbo deisle.

it was a black t/a with those snarling scoops on the hood-UGH!all the badging was there, the dual ex tips, facty alloys-etc. i almost missed the exit to my mom's house!

The hood scopes are ramed air inlets, I would hope it would be correctly badged, they all have dual exhaust, and most people keep stock rims on there car.

and awww thats cute you live with your mom!!! Also how old are you? If you say more then 19 I'm going to laugh cause you live with your parents. Sorry I had to it was to easy of a set up.

i've driven my share of detroit iron,i doesn't impress me anymore.

I'm sorry you don't know what's good for the roads.

like i mentioned before, i work on these damn domestics and they keep breaking down.i put a tranny in it and a week later the motor blows up!so DAMN UNRELIABLE.

Hmm depends on the car but I know a lot of cars from all over the world that are like that...like Korean cars.

streetracer780,
You're welcome although I can't take credit for my love of muscle cars. My Dad was crazy about them and I think I got it originally from him plus growing up so close to Detroit what else was there?

You know, you are always going to get crap from the guys who for some odd reason really hate American cars. It's like they are obsessed on running down anything made in this country especially our Autos. That's the way it's been for as long as I can remember and that's the way I imagine it will stay.
I try and not to make blanket statements like " All foreign cars are junk " I hear enough of that stuff from the "Detroit Iron" haters. I don't need to stoop to that level.
If you love muscle cars like I do then it doesn't really matter whether they like it or not. I'm sure my opinion matters little to them and I know theirs matters even less to me.
I do like rattling their cages now and then though to get them stirred up a bit. Then just sit back and enjoy the show.

Well, later.

Muscle cars!!!Gotta love em.

Ya I've had two rice rockets and while they were good for a while they can't beat the Stang. Even though the car is a POS and is ran hard, it still keeps on keeping on.

So while not all forgein cars suck some do. I'll amit that some American suck as well but I think there are more good American cars rather then suck ones.

And yes its always good to get worked up or work some one else up every once in a great while.

I know that anyone with an open mind could pick out which cars are truly better than others; From anywhere in the world. But people like to belong to groups, wether its an import group or a muscle car group. I like certain cars and hate others. But anything which can execute it's somewhat sporting nature I generally like. The Corvette Z06 is one of my top 5 favourite cars, so is a Porsche GT2, S2000, WRX, M3,etc etc

Hmmm....I've belonged to many groups. I owned a junker, two imports and now a "muscle car".

I like my iron in plain ordinary "car" form.
I'm entirely too large to be pigeon-holed into somebodie's niche.
I am a "car guy".
I like cars from Germany, Italy, Japan, America, Sweden, England, and several other countries.

I don't really think I'm a true car guy cause I don't like all cars. While I do love cars I'm just not a true car guy. Oh well maybe some day.

I never said "all cars are good". Case in point, calling a Yugo a ****box would be an insult to ****boxes all over.
What I was getting at is simply this:
There are "import" guys/gals, "domestic" guys/gals.
Then there are those of us with a wider viewpoint. And if Pontiac is to be believed, Wider is better! (sorry, couldn't resist the pun)

I love T-birds so much that I used to think the Beach Boys were talking to me in "Fun, Fun, Fun". (check the avatar).<---
I love Mustangs. My pop had a great little 1966 back when I was 12-14 years old.
I love Vettes. My best friend's stepmom had one.
I love Mercedes, My mom had one.
I am crazy about Datsun 510's. I'd love to have one.
I like Mercurys from the '50s. I learned to handle a column shifter in one.
I still love British cars, even though my first experience was with an Austin 1300 (America).
I still dream of "steel bumper" MGBs, and Triumph TR-4's

My experiences with automobiles has been long and varied. My tastes are also very eclectic. I am one of those guys that isn't too easy to classify. SR780 when you get to be an old fart like me, the way car deals find you, you will be just a "car guy".:D

Well I hope I become a true car guy. And your right with those deals I find bang I got it made later on down the road.

And for the record my friend might be getting me a deal on a 00 Chevy S-10 Xtreme for about 10k. That would be a nice truck if I can get it. Then I would just use the Stang as a project car. Can you say Pro-Stock?

If you are into cars then you are a true car guy in my opinion.
You don't necessarily need to like all cars.
I have to admit I do like alot of the European sports cars but the ones I really like are way to expensive. I can't see spending that much on a vehicle especially when paying for my sons college and a new house is more important. Maybe when he graduates.
I will always love older muscle cars and will always own one but who knows, maybe someday The Chevelle will share the garage with a Ferrari.

I'm not a fan of European sports car. Your right they are all over priced and well I can get something just as good from the US for a lot less.

Like a Buick Grand National. They can take a lot of Ferrari's or so I've heard. I could go on and on how American cars can beat this or beat that. But I won't.

My dream car some day is a Corvette Z06. Some day I will have one in my driveway.

The arrogant, hypocritcal sentence above should read:

'I guess illiteracy is so rampant these days it's futile to teach reading skills to degenerate, delinquent juveniles.'

But I guess you prove your own statement.

While im too lazy right now to read all the pages here on hondas I will add my own personal opinion.

90% of the time it does not matter what the car is it is the driver.

In my '98 Civic EX 2-Dr I have beaten an S2000 and an IS-300 in mountain passes. My car only has suspension. I can out corner msot cars in my civic. Now Im not claiming that my civic is better than an S2000 or an IS-300. However most people jump to this conclusion; "What a Civic Beat an S2000? The driver of the S2000 must really suck" Well to disprove them the S2000 Driver that i beat races regularly at Willow Springs and Button Willow. He is a member of teh SCCA and his S2000 has Spoon parts and modifications. So I dont dismiss the S2000 so hastely. I am jsut faster int eh corners and if you give me a course or road that has enough curves and not a lot of straights for the competitor to use his horse power then I can beat them.

i will give you credibility and believe you. But doesnt that other guy really stink at driving?

He has TWICE the power that you have, and his car is much tighter and RWD (unless you have modded yours). I currently drive a 4 door EX of the same generation as you (i can only imagine it being 400lb more than a 2-door, max.). It has a frigging blender under the hood that puts out no torque (same as S2000 I guess, hehehe). It does 0-60 in something like 8 or 9 seconds. It is only has semi-good acceleration in 1st and 2nd gears. But still, pedal to the floor it is not quick.

Well after carefully studying the facts I have come to only one conclusion. Honda makes terriable cars. I can't find one good product for the '02 or '03 model year. The Civic got uglier, The Pilot is one of the worst SUV's I've ever seen, The new Accord is just a little Benz wanna be, The S2000 I just hate due to is 2.Slow and terriable styling, and then we have various little Hondas from Japan such as the Logo and Beat.

This is my opinion not yours. Lets not start a flame fest though. Just DISCUSS your position on Honda automobiles.

The Hondas we get in the U.S. do SUCK:banghead: :( except the RSX Type S, S2000, and NSX.:)
But the Hondas in Japan are the best :( : Civic Type R, Integra Type R, NSX-R, S2000 Type V,and Accord Euro-R (the new Accord is totally different in Japan, it might show up in the U.S. as the Acura TSX).
The engines in the U.S. Hondas are sh:censored: t (with some exceptions) because of the stupid emission laws:banghead:

I was going to beleive you(actually I wasn't) until you said he races regularly at Willow Springs/Button Willow, and is a member of the SCCA.

There's no way in hell an SCCA member who races regularly got beaten by a stock Civic...especially if he was in a modded S2000. A stock S2000 with a semi-****ty driver would eat your car alive on a straight, and especially through the twisities.

He must have been really high, really drunk, half asleep, and not trying.

well its not that the motors in Hondas suck, but there not race motors at all. The Civic is ment to be a economy car, I learned that when I tried to race my former Civic. If you want a great economy car by all means the Civic is good.

And after studing up a little more on the Honda products I have found that the NSX is better then I thought it was so I'll give it the credit it deserves.

thats really true. Having a highly tuned NA motor is nice. But to have a higher power potential, and more importantly, torque, you need to start with more than 1.6 or 1.8 liters.

Hondas make great hp/liter, no doubt, but at the end of the day i just want power. Its not like a 2.5 liter engine would weigh much more than a 1.6 liter engine. So they obviously didnt use it to better the weight distribution. They used it for fuel economy.

Great cars are not econo boxes.

if i want torque, ill get a humvee. that statement doesnt make sense.

you dont need mass amounts of torque, but an s2000 is just weak. It is not fun when you need to rev it to hell to get any power out of it.

I like topend motors. I just like them to have a little torque to go with them.

Personally I don't care for the S200's motor. It's not really ment for city driving. It would be horriable around here since traffic is always heavy and there are a lot of lights.

But get it on the freeway and damn I'd like it.

Yea I just read about it in Sport Compact Car. This is good but it still doesn't look as cool as the JDM Accord Euro-R or even the regular JDM Accord, but at least Honda brought it here.
