What does everyone here do for work?

Completely changed my mind on what I wanted to do over Christmas break. So I left school and started full time at the dealership I was working part time at. I detail and am the lot guy here.

I'll be going back in the fall after saving some money here and right now I'm about 95% sure I'll be starting an electrician apprenticeship. 10 weeks of school each year for 4 years and working 8 months full time (paid) between each schooling session.

Full time student currently, but will be graduating in spring. In the mean time, I'm a part-time engineering intern at an aerospace company and will convert to be a full time engineer at the same firm when I graduate.

Graduated from University last year, currently working for the Japanese government teaching English in a Senior High school in Nagasaki. Making decent money with the high YEN.

Pretty awesome placement considering my school is 80% girls and they are the liveliest and cutest bunch of kids ever. Right now it's chill time at work most of the time. I get paid to study Japanese, Facebook, GTP, watch movies for about 8 hours a day for the next month or so.

Then it's back to regular fun time teaching 20 classes a week in April.

Slightly inappropriate?

£500 smackers?

That's a bribe for them to do it for you past your visa date.

Not a fine.

All is good. I called work today and my passport is with the visa people which means even if I'm refused another visa, which is highly unlikely, I'm still permitted to stay here legally while they have my documents.

If I stay past my visa expiration date in Japan, I get detained (Which carries a charge per diem) with no contact with the outside world until they see fit to put me on a plane. Then it's followed up with a 10 year ban. :scared:

:scared: I think in China, missing the date by a few days is only punished with a fine. A few months carries a ban and more than that, like illegal immigrant status, carries jail time.

Yay! Have a massive acid smilie face...

I'm going to edit that last post I made. Might get me in trouble discussing such things.

That picture reminds me of my youth, it's not far off, although different euphoric substances we in play. Also reminds me of Almost Famous for some reason. :odd:

I just love reading through this thread and seeing the changes in the long term members, especially those of us who "grew up" on this site :D

Still going :D

^I do that in the winter, so coming up soon here.

In the summer I'm on the cutter but we just kinda ride around an occasionally board small vessels and do safety checks and stuff.

That video is old as hell, though. Currently we have a crew of 8 and none of the people in this video are part of the current crew.

I currently work for an "Internet Cafe". Those who are in the Florida area (and possibly other states too) will know that they're really strip mall casinos.

It's fun watching people play then get pissed off they can't win and have a fit like some kind of baby. Then show up the next day.

Ah yes, this job's enjoyable but there are some things I hate about it. For example, my boss refuses to take criticism. Maybe it's because she's 70. Maybe because she's the boss. Who knows. I try not to get into it but i'm not really successful on that end...

When I first saw an internet cafe in rural Georgia almost two years ago, my first thought was: "When did it become 1996 again?" When I passed another with the word "sweepstakes" on it, I figured it out.

I work in a factory which makes flightcases, which means I get to play with saws, drills and routers on a daily basis. This is one of mine.
