Faux Fur is what's used now, anyway. Dennis Basso is hilarious.

omg sick bastards. why the hell dont they kill them first?! apart from the animals experiencing being skinned alive those retards make such a crap job of doing so in the first place, good job its incredibly out of fashion nowadays

Hmm I was blaring a slipknot song while watching it and it fit in so well. But anyways, that was just ****ing disturbing. Wow....That poor animal they were skinning alive I cannot believe why they do this all for the sake of fashion....I feel sorry as hell for those animals.

I can't really come to any kind of fixed opinion on the fairness of killing animals, if I said it's not right I'd be hypocrite because I'll be damnned if I'm every gonna become a vegie. However there are far more humane ways to kill an animal and in this case that is the issue I'd raise, not WHY they killed them, but HOW, it should be quick and painless for the animal all the time imo.

I'm not game to watch it but Jefferson gave me the jist of it.

I don't like the sounds of it, I'm sure there could be a more humain way to do it.

HEADLINE

New Law States that the skinning of living racoons, gutting of living fish, the live boiling of lobseters, and the unanethestized castration of farm animals is now illegal.

I don't see it happening.

I'm 100% there could be a better way than skinning animals alive, like kill them first.

I don't see it happening, but that doesn't mean they SHOULD skin animals alive. I'm not against pople using animals for food, clothing ect, I'm only against the way the animals are treated, it wouldn't take much effort to slit the animals throat first and then skin it.

No more live boiled lobster? Strict fish gutting regulations? Do we have to give snakes lethal injections rather than cut their heads off? (because they live for quite a while after their heads are cut off)

Or is this to be called the cruelty to cute animals act .

I think we should found the Bureau of Regularly Eaten Animals and Derivatives.

PETA < BREAD.

What do you have against killing the animals first? Besides, it would be easier to perform the actions you listed if the animals were dead first, right? I mean, there's nothing to gain from performing those actions while the animal(s) is alive, is there? Why do they do it? :yuck:

watched them slam the racoon into the ground then I stopped the video. I have a hard enough time watching cows get slaughtered, much less watching a racoon being tossed around before it gets skinned.

That said though, I like meat. I've seen what animals slaughtered in the halal manner go through to feed me - a big machete going over the jugular multiple times till it's completely severed, then off with the animal's head with the same knife. I don't mind it, because almost none of the animal goes to waste. Almost every part becomes used for food, and in some cases, even becomes leather for the shoes I wear.

On the other hand, I have a hard time with animals raised and bred specifically for their for fur. There's so much going to waste since only the fur gets used. The rest of the animal just becomes compost or gets tossed.

As for the lobster thing, I thought their nervous system doesn't feel pain or something like that... The fish flopping around till they die also suffer, but they're dead within a minute or two. They don't have their skin peeled off while they're squirming around trying to get free. The fish also get used for food and a minimal part of the animal goes to waste (head, tail, scales, bones)

I think with lobsters, they only don't feel it if you keep them in the freezer for a while. The go into a coma and die in semi peace.

But they can come back out of the coma, right?

"THE 6 MILLION DOLLAR LOBSTER!"

Famine
Damn. They've been spying on my HDD again.

Remember, this is PETA, who think you're cruel to animals if you have a pet hamster.
PETA, PETA...That's that group Pamela Anderson supports isn't it?

I stopped the video when the raccoon came. Terribly sad...my sis' ran out of the room... :nervous:
Why don't they just put the animals to sleep? Sick Mother ****ers.

I stopped the video when the raccoon came.

The racoon seeemed to have it easy compared to what went on after that.

absofu**ingloutly disgusting.

Theres a diffrence between using an animal for our needs, and torture.

I think one of those diffrences is ripping its face off while its alive, and then leaving it to suffer after your done- vs -just killing it before you begin.

You mean it got worse after that?

God awful...sick sobs.

Exactly my thoughts. I stopped it about then too, didn't want to watch that anymore ...

That was the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. I stopped the video right after the raccoon. I mean, half of the raccoon's skin is ripped off, and then it shows it just hanging there like that, squirming, trying to get away. Then the guy starts ripping at it, I mean come on, that's just straight sick.

Wow, that was disturbing to say the least. Now first of all, I don’t have a problem with killing animals for food, and though I don't agree with killing for any other reason (except maybe self defense) it doesn't get me horribly upset. However, I do have a major problem with torturing animals. I can’t think of any reason why you would skin an animal alive, or even to club an animal to death. There are much easier and humane ways of killing.

I can however see why this is a debatable issue, what animals get rights and which do not? Do fluffy animals have more rights? Do we base it on intelligence?
Where do you draw the line? It’s a tough issue.

That's exactly it right there. How much more time would it take to put these animals to sleep first?

The worst bit was when it showed the still alive racoon without it's skin. That was awful.

"Eat British lamb, 50,000 foxes can't be wrong."

Kill the animals first, it's easier.

Heavy Sedative would probably be "too expensive"

I haven't watched the video, and I don't want to.
