What fur farms really do.

ou don't need sedative, you just need to take the knife your going to use to skin it and slice it's throat first, then skin it. They're just not slicing the animals throat so it's still live WHILE they skin it. It's sick to think that people can't give a **** about stuff like that.

That video was disgusting. It was frustrating more for the fact that it wouldn't be too difficult to put a bullet/knife through its head first or break its neck or do something to ensure its death before hand rather then whacking it into the ground.

:nervous: :yuck:  :indiff: :ill: :guilty:

Pansies. I watched that and ate. Boohoo, the cute animals diedededed!!!! PETA is such a joke.

And about lethal injections, I don't want something I EAT going through a lethal injection. As far as fur farms go, don't ya think it'd be just a little more expensive to give each and every little critter a lethal injection, rather than take a knife to it? :dunce:

ONE fake fur coat costs 1/3 gallon of oil, but there are millions of those little raccoons running around? I'm making PETA pay for my damned $3/gallon gas!!

I wonder if you can run a car on mashed racoon?

We don't care that they died (although some do). We cared about the way they died.

But then again, you must think its wrong to have a sensitive side towards animals.

I can't imagine the effect that must have on the fur farmer. I couldn't abuse and skin animals like that and then go home and play with my kids or any pets I may have. People just assume that animals don't feel pain, but that's because they have no way to express it. It just saddens me that they can't put a one cent .22 cartridge in their head and give them a quick death. Wouldn't you think it'd be easier to skin something that's not squirming like crazy?

Jeffrey Dahmer started out abusing animals like that. So did Albert Fish and John Wayne Gacy. Look how they turned out.

When oil runs out I guess we'll switch back to real fur until mammals run out.

But I agree, there's no need to torture any animal to death when you can kill it and skin it humanely. And by "humane", I mean "quick".

These guys should die from skinning, like in "Predator"! Then they can have their spine torn out with the skull as a trophy. :mischievous:

So I know this is at least partly a joke... but seriously, are we talking about killing people because they torture animals?

Grand Prix
Yes, that was the joke.

Ok, because other's have felt that way.

I hope, these people will die someday! :grumpy: I feel really sorry for the animals! :(

If racoons have equal rights, then I'm afraid when a racoon turns up dead somewhere there will need to be an investigation. If another racoon (or any other animal) was the culprit, we're going to have to put them in jail and/or execute them. We can't have animals (with equal rights and responsibilities) killing each other.

They already have. How else do you suppose Dubya got re-elected?

Since it would not be in the best interest of any animal to vote Republican I would assume that is how Nader got his votes.

Perhaps all world leaders are elected through the medium of racoon?

These kind of threads always make me laugh. I'm not really down with fur. But I'm very much down with chicken and turkey and beef. They have "farms" for them as well.

But whatever, PETA will do whatever they can to prey on the emotional side of people for their gain. Much like the Christian's Children's fund commercials you might see on TV. But at least they're trying to help PEOPLE.

But PETA is trying to "help" the chickens and cows and racoons and fish of the world that human beings are slaughtering cruely for our own personal use. What better cause is there than that?

Oh I don't know. How about the cruel slaughtering of PEOPLE in Africa, middle east and other parts of the world.

Nope. Obviously we must protect the racoons and chickens.

Yep, that's right. Because they contribute so much to our culture and lifestyle that if we don't make sure all the chickens live BETTER then the average human, well, we're just cruel.

But there's other charities for them.

True, but how many videos are made an spun to make it look like those people are evil? Not to many. But we're evil for eating a chicken sandwich. See my point?
