What games are you playing now?

Assasins Creed Syndicate in PS5- The old London setting had me intrigued and when I saw it had a 60 fps update and it was on sale I thought this would be a good buy, hadn't played an AC game since 2, the parkour mechanics can get annoying but the stealth is great and I love exploring London.

Dredge on Steam Deck - it was one of the free games given out by Epic during Christmas and it's a fun little game that you can pick up and play for 2
10-20 minutes at a time. The exploration and risk that comes with it is very well done.

I actually "finished" Trombone Champ earlier, which I took to be satire because the progression is almost entirely not actually playing the game and you don't have to be good at the final track, just have the right stuff. But I still put it in my "completed" category and uninstalled it, as is tradition when I complete a game, even though I hadn't played all the tracks in the game, because I sorted them by difficulty and beyond about 5 stars it was just too hard for me. I S-ranked maybe ten but they were the easiest ten in the game.

Other than that I'm nibbling away at Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate. It's surprisingly hard on my Deck's battery and having recently moved I haven't bothered to find my charger with the long cable yet so I play a bit and charge a bit. I forgot how good it is though, its difficulty is perfectly pitched in my opinion and it always keeps you guessing.

A co-worker suggested me to try Balatro and ohhh boy it's addictive. I think I've already put 20h into it, and I only just bought it Friday.

Yeah, I hope you weren't planning on playing any other games anytime soon. Balatro will put an end to that real fast. It's basically been the only thing I've played on my Switch since early September.

Finally got back to Horizon: Forbidden West. Think I am nearing the end of the game now, so I have been clearing up a lot of the side missions before I move back to the main story. Not quite as engaged by the story in this one as I was by Zero Dawn, but the gameplay is excellent.

Spotted the DLC was on offer last week, so I have picked that up to (hopefully) extend my enjoyment a bit further!

Missed the news about the 60 fps update. Adding it to my list for when it's cheap again (just missed a sale on the PS Store :boggled:), always up for some virtual tourism.

4K too apparently (I can never tell the difference between 4K and 1080).

But for a game that's nearly 10 years old it looks pretty good apart from some of the character models. Would definitely recommend when on sale.

Stopped playing gt7 last night, now I'm playing Pac-Man World- Re-Pac, it's a platformer game on the ps5.

Right now I'm currently playing Forza Horizon 5, Forza Motorsport (2023) and Stellar Blade.

As for Stellar Blade, I've already completed it twice and got nearly every trophy, just need to beat it again for the third time with the "Cost of Lost Memories" ending to get platinum.

Games I'm enjoying:
The Crew 2 (only started it last summer, to give you an idea of current progress I'm at Icon 540 and have about 90 cars. I've only unlocked 2 of the 50% rival races so far)

Working through a few hours per week, the game has so many things to do now, starting fresh it feels almost a perfect driving game once you get the handling dialed in (followed Akorr's general settings), it's as deep and comprehensive and varied as GT4 and FM4 were (still hate the planes though). When I eventually complete all the events, I will start redoing them with different cars. No need and no desire to grind one event.

Grid 2019 and Grid Legends (only done some of both games, again I started them last summer, main thing I'm doing on Legends are the online races/time trials, there's a fun monthly race in the BMW 2002 at "reverse" Bathurst this month)

Games I'm 50% enjoying:
FM23. Only 50% because:
a) too many FOMO chores, not enough career mode; and
b) too many AI divebombing moments/spinning me out on corners

FH5. Only 50% because I've been playing it a long time and it needs a new iteration and a new map (for me) at this point. At least the FOMO is gone for the next 3 weeks.

I'm ready to tackle the last stage of Robocop Rogue City, which is easily one of the best game experiences I've had, and I discovered Dungeons of Hinterberg on Game Pass, a charming and lite adventure game with a really fun premise and outstanding graphic style.
