It is just so frustratingly hard. I haven’t clicked with the combat yet,
Took a while for me too.
At first I was at disbelieve "this certianly cant be more difficult than x, so why am I so bad?", and then "ah ok, I am trying to much to avoid being hit when instead all I need to do is what I always do: kill before being hit!"

The permanent weapon upgrades at first probably seem like only a small upgrade, but unlocking new weapon skills and weapons really makes a difference.
The first gun I really enjoyed was the "shotgun" with solid shell instead of spread, and the "ooze lobber" seemed too strong.

Since finishing Yakuza Kiwami I've been bouncing around a few things, haven't found anything particularly engaging and it actually prompted me to delete about 20 games from my Deck that have been there for years. The last thing I tried was Ghostwire Tokyo and basically I think what I've learned is I want to play more Yakuza already.

Good choice, I can wholeheartedly recommend Yakuza Kiwami 2 in this case!

I will tackle the last missions of Sniper Elite Resistance today. IMO is better than Sniper Elite 5 just because the map sizes are smaller and there are more ways to survive a firefight if you get caught into one.

And I'm still putting hours into Avowed.

Started with Returnal.

I absolutely love the vibe of this game. Prometheus/ Alien all the way. It is just so frustratingly hard. I haven’t clicked with the combat yet, resulting in to many deaths. But man do I like the concept.
Returnal is one of those games to me that I've accepted that I may never complete it, but I absolutely love the game still (Hollow Knight is another example). I would say keep at it and you may learn the mechanics enough to master it, but don't dismiss it if you don't.

I was frustrated when I first played, but once I got better and the "impossible" first boss fight became very easy then the game clicked. I've been meaning to start over from scratch. I think I can beat the game if I focus on it.

I'm playing through KCD again before picking up KCDII. I never played any of the DLC with the game and I couldn't really remember everything with the story. I forgot how awesome the combat was with that game too since you actively need to think about what you're doing during sword fights.

It’s been on my PC for quite a while but finally started Red Dead Redemption 2.. I’m normally a sim racer / flyer type these days and the thought of sinking a million hours into this type of game again quite frankly scared me, don’t get me wrong though as The Last Of Us 1 + 2 are my most favourite games I’ve ever played.
But after a few hours I can see why it’s so highly rated, loved the first one and this one is slowly but surely dragging me in, it looks stunning on my PC and I’m afraid my wife is going to see alot less of me than she already does 😂
