What have you done to your car today?

Anti-seize is da bomb. Where appropriate, every bolt and nut that has come off my car has gone back on in stainless form, with anti-seize.

I'm more worried about the welds that've rusted so quickly. That exhaust system shouldn't be on the car for more than a few years max, but I'd still like to make sure the welds hold up as long as I need them to. Paint it is then, I think.

I changed the cabin filter, and then polished and waxed the hood (After washing, of course). It looks aight.

Changing the filter was easy. I think I'm slowly overcoming my fear of fixing anything on that car.

Cyborg, those welds will hold up pretty long so don't worry about it. :D

Philly, nice going man. If you can take it apart and put it back together, you can work on cars. We all have to learn sometime.

I'm modifying the front knuckles on the Cavy so that the Wilwood kit will fit for this weekends installation. AN adapters should arrive today so I can finish my stainless brake lines for the Wilwoods too.
Lot's to do so I better hot to it. ;)

I didn't do anything, but I figured out how to chirp 2nd gear every time. :D Once in autostick, if I shift from 1-2 at 5800rpm, I get a nice *CHIRP* every single time. :D Not that great really, but it makes my FWD 3600lb sport-ish/luxury sedan seem that much cooler IMO.

Cleaned all the glass, washed the car, and cleaned up my #4 set of wheels... Yeah, more. Just a set of stock swirlies, but they have tires on them and were free. They'll be my beater wheels for if/when I start rallycrossing. Otherwise, they'll see snow tires.

I cleaned my car today and then applied a layer of Zaino Z8 Grand Finale to it, it's now got an even nicer shine. I'm waiting for a panel pot of this stuff though;

In the meantime, I stickered my window with some S-Bomb stuff;

Supernatural... I'm a bit jealous.

Did an oil change today. New filter and some fresh Mobil.

I tried to start the bike today, but no luck.

A shift-swap with a girl at work delayed major mods, but I finally got some more exhaust piping replaced. From the front of the resonator (below the front seats) back is now completely new stuff. I was going to keep the insanely rusted out resonator for pics, but forgot to pick it up as I was leaving the muffler shop. As planned, the resonator was left out. It's soo much more quiet under normal load now - but still has a nice rumble when the pedal is floored - I love it.

No EX header. After a couple hours of hunting down the right year + model with the part in the junkyard and not being able to remove the manifold (found a car with an aftermarket unit... would've cost $25!), we gave up and left. I forgot to bring one crucial ratchet socket, and nobody nearby had one to borrow :ouch:. Another day...

Discovered some **** has stolen my aerial. Usually I suspect it's my mates playing a prank but I arrived after them at footy and wasn't parked near them when we left together. Worst is I have a relatively big drive to Newquay tomorrow, not gonna be good with an intermittent signal.

Got round to doing the engine swap last weekend in the ae86. one partially dead engine out. one hopefully not partially dead 16v went in.

Just spending time tidying things up now, finding out what i'm missing and then going rev it up

can't wait

I forgot to share with everyone, my car clicked over 150,000 miles on the way back from Nashville. It's now at about 151,000.

I plan on getting this real sooon sometime this month. I went from a Cobb SRi to Cpe SRi because the Cobb SRi is backordered.

People are gaining around 15 whp, 9 ft lb of torque. Can't really feel it with the butt dyno but people claim there is an increase in throttle response... not a bad mod for only around 190.

I just washed the car... looks pretty good after the first wash.

How many miles did you have on it when you bought it, Keef? I'm always partly shocked when I see the sort of mileages relatively young cars in the States have done but then your road conditions and average commutes are completely different. Your car in the UK would probably have done no more than about 100k miles by now unless it'd been used as a motorway commuting car. Some of the cars I've been looking at have been 15 years old and only had just over 100k on the clock.

Get that dealer plate off the front, man!

What the heck is that?
I really can't make that out on what it is and to gain that much power must make it a pretty good mod.

Other than that, nice looking ride.

I would wait for the Cobb part myself. More bragging rights, because Cobb is awesome.

I peeled off my pinstripes finally. I need to get up the nerve to start twisting on the dealer badge and the Civic badge soon while its still hot.

Washed the car, wetsanded and polished some dirt nibs in the paint (I've only been putting it off for a year).
Went 1000, 2000, and then some 3000 grit Trizact to get a nice fine finish.
Polished with Farecla G3 and a cutting pad, then masked off the trim and did the rest of the car.
Continued with some 3M Swirl Remover on a finishing pad, but only was able to get a couple panels done before my light started fading.

Washed it again to get the polishing dust off, and called it a day.
I'll hopefully be able to finish up the polishing on either Saturday or sometime next week after work.
It'll be followed by some Chemical Guys M-Seal sealant and a coat of Chem. Guys Pete's 53 Black wax.

Given that that picture is all there is to the intake, I doubt the brand really matters, its going to come down to which filter flows more.

Dude, just grab some fishing line or something; the badges will come right off. Some goo-gone or similar will get rid of whatever's left.
