What if PD was taking suggestions from GT5 drifters and they wanted to know, "Is there anything that could be added, or does something need to be taken out/fixed to help bolster the Gran Turismo 5 drifting experience"?

It would be nice, but not only for drifting, but for everything ( Super gt, rally, etcetera ). The events are limited and some more would be fantastic.

Dont forget that this is the 1st GT serie on PS3, so im sure the next one will be as good as when GT2 came after GT1 ( PS1 ) and GT4 came after GT3 ( PS2 ). And really GT5 did very well at the drifting, no other console has good drifting gameplay as this game. NFS is a load of 🤬.

It has the best drifting gameplay imo lol

It would be cool if every track had the night time option, and some legit mountain passes... like Forza's but better. Both of those would benefit all the different events, just by adding night to a track without street lights, its difficulty goes up... OVER 9000 (lol DBZ ref.)! And who doesnt love one on one sprints down a touge reminiscing the days of Initial D. *sigh* :)

This topic has been beaten into the ground and then some. We all want more, thats human nature. If we were to create a list of all the things we wished were in GT5, it would be absolutely staggering.

I dont really know how easy that would be, sounds easy in theory...💡

Boss pushing a PD developer: "Just you know, connect them together. IDC how, just do it and quit asking questions... What? Dont look at me like that... F'n DO IT OR YOUR FAMILY BURNS!" haha

And back to the main convo, yes there would be lots of suggestions, but in your opinion, what do you think would be a LEGIT upgrade for the drifting aspect for the game?

Some actual drift events in A-Spec mode against the AI would be nice, but I'm not sure how they'd implement that with the current crappy AI.

I see that as being a complete disaster, hilarious yes, but still a disaster. :scared:

Thank you! 👍 I will continue to watch this thread and hopefully it doesn't become a repost. Kaz will wanted to develop GT5 for two more years. So, who knows..you guys get what you want as a DLC.

I thought of some stuff today, since they already have a "Drift mode" offline, why dont they have a "tandem drift mode option" available where you basically tandem with an AI and get money and experience for, but not make it something required to do to advance in the game or to attain 100% completion. Because not everyone is in to drift, i just would like something in return for my effort in learning it in the game... haha

And another thing I thought about was, you know when you watch a replay or view a race, you see all the different information available. Like when they brake or what gear they are in. It would be cool if they had a distance meter between two cars that can also give an average of how close you stayed to the opponent, this would help in judging competitions online. With the meter you could also be able to set a "fall back distance" regulation, where if you don't stay within a certain distance, you don't qualify to compete, or you just lose the round automatically.

It mostly sounds pretty useful to me. lol

I just want more Bodytuning, Stickers, more Spoilers, more wheelrims etc.
The rest is near perfect

+1. and fix the s15 where the wheels are tucked well in under the arches

Being able to change tire size and pressure would make a lot of cars so much more versatile it would be great for drifters.

I would also like set wheel size options. Not just diameter but the width, after all it is a driving simulator and you only get 1 size of any 1 wheel on any 1 given car. One can only hope.

An auto sculpt plus a full paint pallet with different paint effects, and the ability to totally remove the front bumper. Another thing, to make people stop using a 4wd to drift because they love the car, the option to mod it from a 4WD to a FR drift machine.

If PD offer you guys everything you wanted in this game but they take out online mode, would you still get everything you want? or keep how it is with online mode? ( not questioning or assuming about Sony's actions)

I would sacrifice online if I got EVERYTHING I wanted which is a long list. But anything less I wouldn't give up online.

So you will sacrifice playing with fellow drifters for your own cause?

Yes, but the wish list would extend to ridiculous add ons like never ending challenges/races and good AI drift partners. But this will never happen so i'll stick to online in reality thanks.:sly:

The reason why we ''complain'' is because there are 16 miatas and 100 others of these copies.
Its not that we dont like the game, its about what could be nice if it would be or wouldnt be in the game. GT5 is the best racing game I played yet, even if the old NFS were good. This game is special and everyone knows that.

NFS Shift 2 is the first PS3 game with an E30 in it, but I want to drift it, and Shift fails in that part.

Well, its just out of curiosity. I could do without all the body kits and such, its fun seeing AWD drift and FF drift better than some people. Its about the driver not the car.

I would do it the other way round; Nevermind all the offline races and events; just give us all the cars and give us good tuning with the existing online play (which is excellent!)

If some replay functionalities would be added; the game would be finished.
