Aside from the DLC Cars, the rarest cars are standard Miatas/MX-5, standard Honda S2000, Standard Honda Prelude 1996, and standard Ford GT (according to mygranturismo.net). So basicly all the cars that are available as Premium, or are available in several different versions. Most people buy the premium model over the standard one, and most people buy the premium version out of the versions that are available.
Cars that are really rare, because they are hard to find, or win, or because they dont have that many versions, that are superior, is a different story.

These are the ones with the highest rarety rating (10). There are actually more, but they are stealth models, Game Stop Camry, or other DLC.
I could continue to list the ones with a rarety rating of 9 and below, but there are quite alot. Iam not even sure if some of the cars i listed are non-highend models of the cars, that are available otherwise. THe Vauxhall could be taken off this list, since the Opel Vectra is not as rare and therefore the vectra could not be considered rare, like the Nissan GT Cars, that i listet. Some of them are just a different colorsheme, but you can see which ones are the rarest though..
The Honda S2000 LM Race Car is actually very common. On mygranturismo.net, it got a raretyrating of 3 out of 10, which is very common. The TVR V8S is quite common aswell, it got a rating of 4, which os the highest rating of all TVRs. So good cars, or cars that everyone loves will rarely rank among the rare ones, because everyone buys them, as soon as they get a chance to. The underdogs, the "ugly" ones and the 100000th version of the miata are actually rare.

I was reading the front page not realizing this thread was so old, about to question those who were saying FGT was the rarest. haha. They kind of are now with no online dealership though.
I can't say as for what one car is the rarest, but I have a few I think are pretty rare, as I have only seen them once in the UCD and had to buy them. Cars like the TVR V8S, and random race car versions of cars like S2000s and Civics like these

I also collect Minis. For quite a long time, I was searching for an '02 Cooper S to complete my collection. I bought it the first time it showed up in the used car dealership. I haven't seen it show up since. I've never seen the Land Rover Range Stormer Concept, either.
