What is the rarest car in the game?

PLEASE, could SOMEBODY check their garage and check if the Audi R8 Race Car '01, the Pontiac Sunfire GPX or the Toyota RSC '01 are in, because I simply lost hope in their exictence, I search for them so long now, I almost gave up already.

All in. RSC and RSC Rally often appear at the same time.
 
Thank you Mulsanne, believe it or not, I saw the RSC Rally car often already, but NEVER has the normal version of it been with it.
Look, if you give me the Pontiac and the RSC, I will give you two new cars, each worth 2 million, I am serious.

The Lancer Evo IV is listed as P/S on the official car list, but I have never, ever seen it in the UCD, not once. I've seen every other Evo several times, but never the standard.

Good thing there's the premium, then!

The VW W12 Nardo Concept '02 in my opinion it is the rarest car... I have never seen this car ... Never... And many people I know say the same :S!
 
^ I have seen the Ka a few times now, didn't buy it though. I think the rarest would have to be either the Bentley or the 2J, never seen either. :(

I traded for the Bentley & glitched the 2J. I have a '70 ticket now to get all the 2J's I could want.

I got that as a prize car but can't remember from which ticket. It was probably one of my 1k tickets. Mine has 0 miles & 0 switches.
 
I expect the rarest car in terms of percentage ownership of all players is probably something very ordinary that gets skipped over in the UCD all the time; one of the many variants of MX-5/Miata/Eunos Roadster for example.

I'd have to agree. I've only seen the Audi R8 LMS (Team Playstation) once, while I've never seen the R92CP or the normal Audi R8 LMS. Also, i've never seen the Toyota RSC or the Infiniti FX45 Concept cars :grumpy:.
 
I think a previous poster was right when they said the rarest is most likely one of the many iterations of the MX5 which people pass on, well rarest in terms of who owns it, and this is born out by the bogus (much as I like the site) "rarity" rating on mygranturismo.net

I waited a loooong time for the Chapparal 2J to return once i'd saved enough money, but perhaps other people have seen it several times.

I'm at the point now where I collect paint jobs/chips of cars I like now, which in a way are rarer, but then I pick most of them up when I see them, so there are usually a few to snag. It seems one area PD didn't cut corners was with factory paint jobs, though I guess some of these were still carried from GT4. I still don't remember quite so many though?

The Cup Cars are also quite collectable, the Beetle, Lupo, Clio/Lutecia etc...look out for these as there are all kinds of numbers and colours to collect, plus means with some duping and gifting you can put together some pretty cool online events with your friends.
 
Ford Falcon XR8, spent over 10 hours all up looking for it and I traded to get it eventually. I've seen it once since then. All my friends agree it's one of the rarest in the game too
 
I was reading the front page not realizing this thread was so old, about to question those who were saying FGT was the rarest. haha. They kind of are now with no online dealership though.

I can't say as for what one car is the rarest, but I have a few I think are pretty rare, as I have only seen them once in the UCD and had to buy them. Cars like the TVR V8S, and random race car versions of cars like S2000s and Civics like these

Just a few cars I never really see people race with online.
