I actually bought the Odyssey a few days ago because of boredom. I think the car I've always been looking for but never see it is that HKS Drift car, I have no clue what the name is :\

The FGT isn't rare because its always available in the UCD (except when PSN gets hacked).
Ummm... for me the rarest car just depends. I haven't seen the '69 Camaro SS in Yellow/Black since I started playing and trust me I've been watching closely. Same with the Cuda, haven't found it in a color other than that disgusting gold or green paint. They're rare to begin with, but to see them in a desireable color is even more taxing.
Also I don't ever see the Viper GTS-R Concept in the UCD. Could be up there in rarity. Before everyone started trading for it, I never used to see them online either.

I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for the Honda CRX '83 to pop up in the UCD, but no dice. Didn't realize that it was called a Honda *BALLADE* CRX in Japan, so I might have missed it when I started playing the game. I bought one of the first models sold in the US back in '84 and it was a strange car at that time considering how tiny it was relative to all the big iron that was still on the road back then.

For me it's the 370Z Tuned GT Academy version '08.
I owned every car in the game by buying it, but I had to trade one of my X2010's to get the 370Z.
Oh, and I had to wait a ridiculously long time to get the Camaro race car from the UCD.
In my opinion there are no rare cars in the UCD, it's a matter of luck.
Some guys wait a week for a car to pop up, while it crossed my UCD 3 times a day...

I'm still waiting for the Yellowbird and the Lexus IS200, i want the Lexus because it have the JZ2 enginge the same of Supra the same one that comes name in the Fast & Furious movie

ok people the majority of cars you say are rare are not the rarest. The rarest is the Ford GT '02. It is a prototype Ford although doesn't actually say that in the name, but it is also $1,000,000. I saw it only once and luckily had enough money and managed to buy it. That is the rarest and also untradable. http://www.mygranturismo.net/car_sheet.php?id=213

IS200 never had a Supra engine in it, and BTW it called a 2JZ-GTE

The rarest car has to be something that never turns up in UCD or OCD and can be achieved only from a ticket or as a prize. Therefore the rarest has to be the 370z Tuned Car (GT Academy Version) '08 if you exclude DLC cars. The only way to get one is from a lvl 12 ticket and maybe a ticket 1000 (not sure though). I got one from a lvl 12 ticket and I've used it for multiple trades (still 0.0 miles).
The Red Bull X2010 Prototype is just as rare, as you can only get it by getting gold or silver (not sure) on the Sebastian Vettel Challenge. The S.Vettel is almost as rare but you get one for getting bronze on the Vettel challenge, and I think this is the one you get at B-Spec lvl 35.
I have both of the above cars as well as one DLC car, the Camaro SS "Edge Special". These are my rarest cars. I have a few that rank "10" on mygranturismo.net - the Infiniti FX45 Concept '02 (achieved from UCD, OCD if it goes there or ticket 1000 or 2002 ticket) and the Nissan MOTUL AUTECH GT-R (Super GT) '08 (premium, 950,000 cr, can also be acquired from ticket 1000 and 2008 ticket).

no joke, I saw a Jagermeister sponsored BMW m3 ( Wayne Gardner 1992 DTM edition ) a month ago on a monza server . Found out it was the owner of one of the GT5 car modeling directors, Tadashi something.
