What is the rarest car in the game?

I've raced against the 22B but I've never seen one in the dealer.

Had one in the first few days - snapped it up.

The FGT I've never seen. Seen almost all of the others mentioned though, except Escudo.

Cerbera Speed 12 seemed quite rare - so bought that when I saw it a few days ago. Same as the Lambo Diablo.

This doesn't even make sense, if I really really wanted a Ford Focus and had the money for it, it doesn't make it a rare car, it makes it a desired car.

A rare car is a car that is hardly seen.

I think you kinda missed the point he was making.

some of the rarer cars inlcude:
Mercedes CLK-GTR Race Car
Mercedes Clk DTM Race Car
Bentley Speed 8
Pescarolo Courage Hybrid Race Cars
Toyota GT-One

I think more of the Race Cars which are 4-5 mil. credits, are rare.

I've seen the Gt-One atleast 4 times and never had the money nor the rank to purchase it. I currently have the Speed 8 right infront of me in the dealer, but only ç316,208 in my bank.

Toyota 2000gt, I have'nt seen or heard of anyone having one of these yet.
I've seen all the other cars listed here but never had the credits to spend on them (the million credit + cars that is).

a) I personally think that the cars appearing in used dealership are completely random, EXCEPT

b) there only seems to be one car above 1 million every three - five 'days'. The 'rareness' ppl mentioning in this thread is only an impression thingy on their side b/c they 'waited' for that certain car like I did for my Audi R8 for th DTM (I had the FGT w/in minutes of having the cash/lvl to get it and I don't use any artificial cycling of dealership). I had to wait for that Audi for a damn long time.

That point b) would make any car with value 'rare' unless its useless and traded online by the hundreds.

My personal impression only. No proof.

I don't think the three - five days thing is true, I'm looking at the dealer now and there is a McLaren F1 GTR Race Car '97 (3,575,844) right next to a Speed 8 Race Car -03 (5,534,576). If anything I'd just say it was random but with a lower rate of appearing in comparison to other cars.

I didn't mean to say that there can only be one 7-digit car in list w/in 5 days. What I meant to say was, that it appears to me that the high value cars have a lower probability to show up than the low value ones. For me, most of the times I only have 1 or two cars above 1 million in the list, the rest is 20-50k crap. I could not make out any difference in probability WITHIN the class of 1+ million cars showing up.

Edited for typos - find more? keep!

I've seen it in my Used Car Lot. It was red. I considered buying it, but I couldn't spare the money at the time.

Are there any differences in rarity, or is it purely random.

That's what I'm wondering, someone on the last page said he had to trade for a CRX as he's only seen del Sols. I've never seen a del sol, but get a CRX literally once a day. I've seen the FGT several times, and same with the Escudo (whatever the pikes peak car is), along with several other 'rare' cars. Yet I've yet to see an Audi R8 LMS, only seen the 2002 turbo once, etc.

I think the rarity is either based on some seed taken from your PSN or PS3, or placebo. There's just no way I could get some of these cars so many times while others moan about never seeing one, while I do the same about the opposite cars.

Yup, either its predetermined for every new GT mode file, or its just completely random.

I've seen most of the cars people have mentioned (I have been playing for quite a long time, mind you) but one car I haven't seen that I've been looking for is the Evo VI Rally Car, I've never, ever seen one, but I'm probably only noticing that because I'm looking for one, so as someone else said, the rare cars are the ones you're looking for!

Has anyone else noticed that once a car appears it will appear at least once again in the next ten cycles? I'm not sure if it's a coincidence but once I had two Ruf RGTs in my dealership at the same time, though they're not exactly rare, they're not common either. Also once had an RS200 reappear in my lot just after it cycled out, same happened with the Nismo 400R (so I bought them both, and haven't seen a single one before or after) and, if I'm not mistaken, the Mercedes 190E 2.5 Touring Car.

See, I like this, it makes the random used car dealer worthwhile; it means you might have to trade to get some cars you want. Maybe I'll never see an Evo VI Rally car, who knows, I do know that no one has offered me one for a trade yet though. Might go and ask for one now, actually...

I'd say - see it from the developer perspective!

You have 700+ cars.

Some have a higher 'value' to the gamer, some have a lower value.

You are developing a game which you hope, ppl will play for a long time (many game 'days')

Would you come up with an ordered list of cars appearing in the dealership? I wouldn't!

I would give each car a 'value-factor'. The higher that factor is, the lower the probability of tht car showing up in the lot.

I'd probably use the price tag as that 'value-factor' to save time and variables (memory).

Then I'd have a randomizer taking that factor into accout and voila! There is my used car dealership.

Suspicion, not based on facts, my two cents.

I think I bought one recently but I can't do anything about it because my PS3 froze while getting into my Toyota 7 and when I rebooted no discs will read! WTF!

The Stealth Mazda 787B.

With all the car duping pretty much everything can now be duped and gifted, making nothing rare, except this, which cannot be gifted, and is most "limited" of all the Stealth cars, Japan did not even get this car with their Stealth pack...:)

Eventually they will be on the open market. You can say the same thing about the stealth Audi R-10

I have this car and it is awesome. The sense of speed in the cockpit view is amazing and it has a ferocious sound. Very good to drive too.

Stealth is nothing special. Just a paint job involving black somewhere on the car.

Its not just black paint, its actually carbon-fibre ;)

I have all the stealth cars and yeah the 787b is purely an awesome car to drive:)
