I can't find another Lotus Carlton! I got one ages ago, and would like to get some more... Just because i like that thing!
So to me at least, it's very rare... ^^

Yea , when i started a new GT5 because save corrupted the first car i'm desperate to find is the Lotus Carlton

The only "rare" cars would be the cars that cannot be found in the UCD, OCD, or through level tickets, ie Chromeline and Stealth cars. He rest may be hard to find but they will appear sooner or later.

There aren't any rare cars, used cars are on a loop, there are no special prize cars like in earlier games, e.g. restarting that final race in the all stars champ in gt3 to try and get the gt one.

what about the cars on "loop" that only show up every 1500 game days or so? Panoz Esperante GTR-1 is one that comes to mind

I think that the most rare car in the game would be the Tommy Kaira ZZII. I had my game for allmost 2 years, and never seen it for sale any where. My friend, though, had it for a long time... All of the LMP/Grp C cars comes up quite often...The Chaparral 2J is not especially rare. Seen it many times....But that ****ing Tommy Kaira....Been looking for it every time I turn PS on....For all most 2 years. It doesn`t show up. But makes the game more interesting that some cars come to people, and others don`t....

They changed the name of the CLK GTR to CLK LM a few updates ago... only god knows why

Even stranger considering they are different cars. The LM was an improved GTR so the physics should be different.

In 1996 and 1997, the CLK-GTR had a 6.0L V12 for the FIA World Championship. In 98', they moved to a 6.0L V8 for Le Mans. We have the 1998 car.

Well technically the CLK GTR is the limited production road car. This

So it does make sense. I wish they had the road car in this game but they only put in the LM race car version. Sad face I am missing my all time favorite Mercedes Benz in this game.

Not read all of this, but I noticed my Buick Special comes in two flavours

One is just

Special

The other has the year too

Special '62

I am sure other cars could have alternate names after some Specification/Version change in GT5
-And I know collectors will collect this sort of minute difference in true pokemon style.
