what is the ...

i know that all you people well tell me use the search thing but a just can't find what i want so if you wanna insult me here is my e-mail ( mindless_dodo@hotmail.com ) ok

and my question is can someone give me a setup for the Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-Apex Shigeno Version so it can drift like a rally car on the road and who give me the setup he will get the racing setup ( grip ) . thx

OK - nice and clear. Right up at the top of the page. Under the changing car pictures. It says my gtplanet - search - members - calendar - help. That one that says 'search' is the button you want to push.

Try that and see what you get. Also, settings questions really belong on the Settings & Tuning board.

Hope this helps.

From what I uderstand. He can find the search button, but he couldnt find the info he wants by using the search function.

That link to a thread about the trueno drift setups was very useless.

Its not like these forums are being clogged by threads. I'll admit that some very vague and repeated questions can be annoying but lets not make people feel they need to make a thesis statement and rough draft of the thread theyre about to make.

Its pretty hard to find relevant info unless its been specifically requested. Each thread seems to turn into a conversation about the weather or the hockey score. And all it takes is 5 seconds of 1 persons time to help an unknowable amount of people.

I learn something from every thread I read, wether or not I wanted to know that info.

I like drifting the cars stock, just using simulation tires, LSD 1.5 way (sometimes) and obviously without ASM and TCS. The Shigeno does pretty good this way, but you need some pratice.

You can also buy all the goodies and play with the settings until you find one you like for more extreme sideways drifting.

mindless: Sorry, I misread your post - I thought you couldn't find the search.

Anyway, I don't drift, but I can tell you how to set up your car for over steer in general:

1) Stiffen the rear in springs and dampers over the front.
2) Make sure the rear ride height is no higher than the front.
3) Stiffen the rear stabilizer bars all the way; leave the front down.
4) Set massive toe out in the rear (-2.0, say), and zero camber. Set front to zero toe or -0.5 toe in. Set front camber to 3.0 or so.
5) If you have an LSD, reduce the deaccel value, raise the accel value, and reduce the initial torque.
6) If you have the brake proportioning valve, bias it to the rear.

Hope this helps.
