I hope they check again the physics when you jump on eiger Nordwand, the landing should feel more difficult and not that static. Maybe when we get damage we also get this fixed.![]()
Oh yeah, that's definitely gonna be a good thing. I mean, I'm sure you've seen the new E3 trailer everybody's raving about? A Subaru Impreza WRC takes a jump at an angle, and the landing crumples some panels. I really, really hope damage like this makes it into GT5, which I'm sure it will.
It would add another element to racing... at least, on tracks like Eiger or Seattle. Trying to navigate the jump, while being as fast as possible, yet minimizing car damage. If mechanical damage is included (which I'm almost certain it will be if cosmetic damage is in too), it would be great if on a track like Eiger, you could jump at the same speed and height lap after lap, then eventually on a landing, the suspension would smash and break due to prolonged, gradual stress. I saw a video on YouTube the other day of an F2007 on the Eiger, taking that huge jump... unrealistic or what?
If you really did that in an F1, it should crumple like tinfoil
If cosmetic damage is included, I'm certain that mechanical will be too. I remember reading once in an interview with Kaz that GT will only include cosmetic damage when they can accurately model the mechanical damage to go with it. Cosmetic damage was shown in the E3 trailer, so my hopes are very high indeed 👍
