What missing features are you most concerned about?

I hope they check again the physics when you jump on eiger Nordwand, the landing should feel more difficult and not that static. Maybe when we get damage we also get this fixed. :)

Oh yeah, that's definitely gonna be a good thing. I mean, I'm sure you've seen the new E3 trailer everybody's raving about? A Subaru Impreza WRC takes a jump at an angle, and the landing crumples some panels. I really, really hope damage like this makes it into GT5, which I'm sure it will.

It would add another element to racing... at least, on tracks like Eiger or Seattle. Trying to navigate the jump, while being as fast as possible, yet minimizing car damage. If mechanical damage is included (which I'm almost certain it will be if cosmetic damage is in too), it would be great if on a track like Eiger, you could jump at the same speed and height lap after lap, then eventually on a landing, the suspension would smash and break due to prolonged, gradual stress. I saw a video on YouTube the other day of an F2007 on the Eiger, taking that huge jump... unrealistic or what?

If you really did that in an F1, it should crumple like tinfoil :sly:

If cosmetic damage is included, I'm certain that mechanical will be too. I remember reading once in an interview with Kaz that GT will only include cosmetic damage when they can accurately model the mechanical damage to go with it. Cosmetic damage was shown in the E3 trailer, so my hopes are very high indeed 👍

I hope the price money is about the same as in GT4 again. In the Prologue, it was too easy to buy a R8, F2007 etc. In GT4 a LeMans car cost 4.500.000 Cr. (European version) So you had to race a lot to be able to buy them. I bought the Audi R10 first, and then the Pescarolo Sport. Great cars.:)

I thought it was a nightmare trying to save up in GT4. If you do the DTM races over and over again, it gets tedious. The other race series in the Extreme events didn't pay out enough. If they were to keep the price the same as GT4 for prototypes, I'd at least like them to give us a few more opportunities to win Le Mans cars as prize cars.

Online stability

I thought we'd test something more substantial in Prologue in the last few months with chat and race options to change.

Obviously Home maybe a big part of it with icons and code within the game but how is a 16 car grid all with mics going to work on day 1. Are PD suddenly going to switch on the magic servers and get it right first time?

People still to this day can't even download the update for prologue even after trying a hundred times.

There's going to be millions getting this game and playing regularly. Even just the slightly popular new events in Prologue bring back lag, host disconnections etc.

I just hope there's not lots of patches and fixes, thousands of threads complaining about this option not working online or can't even download the patch etc.

With PD's limited experience and more features expected. I just can't see it working for the masses.

GTA IV and Gears of War 2 have major problems I believe so there's lots of work to be done. We should be beta testing what GT5 will have in the real world with more world events and voice chat.

Hopefully they have something unprecedented in PSN online to roll out. I can live and enjoy the game without online if its not working right on release.

I know it's not completely within the topic

I hope the servers are great indeed. :indiff:And I want to be able to invite friends, so I can race against my classmates without any other racers... The servers of GTA are very good instead of LittleBigPlanet for example. I just don't play LBP (online) anymore because of the bad servers. Till now I've driven one single race online in GT5. It was on Daytona and I think that was also the last race online in the prologue I will race.

The Rallying being as bad as in GT4.

That right there!!

Also worried about yet again having to race enduros and other long races without a save option during pitstops.

My two top worries right there. I'd rather endurance races went back to how they were in GT3 - an hour or so instead of four.

But for special events, please don't make us wait 40 seconds at the start of staggered races. Just have the other cars start ahead of us for God's sake!!!

Codename L
Photomode. GT5 be damned if there's no Photomode in it:mad:
Amen:ill:

What I want to see is an in-depth License testing system. So players immediately who they're up against. We need to be able to filter servers by people who have certain qualifications.👍

Also, Complex String, or new courses like it. The Yosemite course is kind of boring, get rid of the damn lane dividers...

The absence of Porsche and Lamborghini. It would only seem logical that GT would announce the presence of these two marques to boost consumer confidence and sales (as done in the case of Ferrari), but so far, not one peep. I don't think i can handle another Turismo series without hearing the wail of a flat six on the nurburgring!

bad physics, physics, physics
bad telemetry
poor rally
unrealistic pit-stop
low force feedback
no possibility to adjust degree wheel rotation
no porsche/lamborghini

EDIT: as Codename L said...no photomode (wipeout hd photomode is just AWESOME....I'd love to see that in gt5)

We agree.👍 Check post #6.

...the 5 second rev penalty should be abandoned in favor of a final time penalty, thereby keeping the race alive and still weeding out bumpers...
I can see many places where this can backfire if it isn't done properly, just like the rev penalty. I'm surprised more people on GT5P don't brake check to force the car behind them to hit them and cause them to lose the race, frankly. 👎

There were people saying it was too easy to earn money in GT4, and that Gran Turismo should basically become a tedious grind-fest like WoW. :indiff:

oh god I'm so sick of that. Just happened to me this morning

No point to point rally stages.
Bad physics on rally races.
The ability to set up and customize an online event :(

Last... No Porches!!!

I've got a good idea, how about flashing lights in the dark to overtake backmarkers? I don't know if it's been mentioned before. If it has, credit where its due. It would be quite a disadvantage if PD does not implement that imo.

My "nightmares" are:

Poor WRC physic and "closed" tracks (invisible walls).
No damage in Nascar.
Poor tire/car physic at low speed (sliding).

It is not all of course, but i leave you some space.

I dont care about damage, skidmarks, or reverse light - im always trying to not hit anyone or anything, skidmarks will be nice to see but are not mandatory for me and i dont remember when i used R in GT :D

What about you guys/girls ?

Sorry for bad english

poor physics
no damage
no password-locked server games
lack of AI cars in multiplayer (to fill out races with few humans)
lack of ability to race against AI cars chosen by player
lack of good AI
lack of ability of game host to select cars/classes available for his race
Inclusion of the lame banking system (yeah, one can get through it or use the cheats, but it is a real PITA imho)

Well.... okay, maybe not the Japanese girlfriend. Maybe. ;)
A Japanese girlfriend will be included in the GT5 bundle. 💡

A Race Queen will only be in the premium edition.

What about furry dice hanging from the rear view mirror! That needs to be in the game.

Oh yes and I want Indicators as well. :sly:

One thing I've been forgetting. I mentioned it in my huge wishlist posts, but it's been a while.

Race course leaderboard displays that reflect the actual times, car numbers and lap times of the players and bot cars on the track. I know that in the race you'd be lucky to get more than a glimpse of them, and in replays, only a look or two depending on the total laps, but I think it would add that little bit more of immersion and reality.

I was playing GT3 and although I know it's been mentioned. We NEED qualifying, it is essential to the spec races with a low amount of laps.

OT: I got 7 cars in 1 wreck(including 1 bus and 1 motorcycle)

My "nightmare"

That Forza comes out with a better SIM and I would have to buy an Xbox....not! LOL

Yeah!! There's a damn big GT button in the middle of my DFGT wheel.I wanna use it!👍

Maybe it could be used as a voice chat button too, so you can 'cuz at the punters.
