No. As far as I'm concerned, a feminist is someone who believes that people of all genders should be as equal in society as the practicalities of human biology allow (ie. Men, with the exception of a few ftm individuals, are not going to get pregnant). Someone who I would feel prepared to call a feminist would not be a misandrist, on the grounds that they would inherently be judging someone purely on the grounds of their gender and not for the person they actually are. Misandry and misogyny also tend to be directly linked (ie. The misandristic belief that all men are naturally inclined to commit acts of sexual assault (sic) is fairly directly linked to the misogynistic belief that women are incapable of commiting acts of sexual assault (sic).), therefore meaning that anyone who is a misandrist is also likely to in some way be a misogynist.

The term feminism is used (as opposed to the perhaps more appropriate egalitarianism) because the society we live in, sadly even to this day, is primarily patriarchal, and therefore the majority of serious gender related issues relate to the treatment of women as opposed to the treatment of men. In some cases temporary solutions may need to be found to gender issues which may seem biased against one gender (ie. The creation of women only train carriages in order to reduce instances of sexual assault on public transport), but sadly this is because one can't always wait for society to play catchup while trying to deal with an immediate problem. Also, feminism far more catchy than egalitarianism.

Of course there are many different schools of feminist thought, but those which can be described as being "man hating" are generally fairly fringe and have increasingly fallen into disrepute with other feminists in recent years, particularly in the case of those which hold transphobic "womyn born womyn" beliefs.

Anyway, rant over. Just watched Forrest Gump. Great film. I loved the way that it tells the history of the United States from the 50s through to the 80s through the story of one extremely naive man's incredibly lucky life. And the music... A lot of great tunes in that film.

Most feminists I know are hardcore lesbo man-haters. I used neofeminist, however, because said F-wordists aren't hyperfeminine. On the contrary, actually.

Anyway, Angelina looks fascinating as Maleficent. It's not even so much sexy or anything like that, she just looks so strange and oddly beautiful with what they did to her. I'm glad they went all out because otherwise it would've looked weird as just her. She's so skinny-- poor thing. But it worked in her favor for the role. Great art direction.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2. 3d
Overall I thought this was a great movie. The 3d special effects were very good. I was however VERY shocked with what happened at the end.

Cant believe they really killed off Emma Stone. Never seen that coming at all. In an age where it really seems like no one truly ever dies at all in these movies, I was shocked she was indeed truly dead.

Red State (2011)

What happens if you mix the Westboro Baptist Church with Timothy McVeigh and Russian neo-Nazis who go on "safari"? You get the Cooper Family, who run a fundamentalist Christian church - Five Points Trinity Church (FPTC) in a small town in the Deep South. The movie opens with the Coopers protesting the funeral of a murdered gay man. Travis, a high school student, receives an invitation to have group sex with a middle-aged woman and his friends. Unfortunately for Travis and his friends, she is a member of FPTC, and after the trio are drugged by her, they wake up in the Coopers' compound.

While the movie keeps you on its toes with its twists and turns, it doesn't seem to glue well together, and there are a few "deus ex machina" moments. While the cast give a solid performance, the movie seems to have a scattergun approach to who's really the villain. Michael Parks, who plays Abin Cooper, the Fred Phelps figure of this movie, is probably the standout star of this movie, and I can't find many faults with his performance.

The weak plot is negated by the performances by the cast, and I'll give this 6/10.

The Matrix
th

I've watched it once before(about 5-6 years ago)and wanted to see if I still like it.
Well,I do!
A really cool, smart, entertaining movie with some of the best,if not the best action sequences I've seen.
The music's really good too, like these tracks:

I like the way Smith says '...two lives...'(56 sec)
The only fault I can find is some of the CGI,it's just limited by the time it was made,so I guess it's not the films fault.
Overall 9.5/10

Man on a Ledge (2012):

This is literally the only thing I liked about the movie. And ironically, I think it would have been a better movie (as in, not that stupid) without her.

For some reason that looks like a good movie. Maybe I should check it out.

Guardians of the Galaxy.

All i can say that it was a fun movie. Looking forward to see Avengers team up with the Guardians.

Just realize the one who played Yondu is the actor who played Merle in Walking Dead. I thought he looked and sound familiar before.

Michael Rooker. He has quite a few roles under his belt. This isn't even his first time working with the director James Gunn.

Locke

Refreshingly different. Almost entirely features Tom Hardy sat driving in a car. The story unfolds in real time via an endless stream of (handsfree!) phone conversations as Locke's life unravels as he tries to 'do the right thing'. It's also refreshingly short. Tom Hardy shows how good an actor he really is. The only thing that detracts is his slightly iffy Welsh accent.

9/10

yeah, i've seen him in a few movies before GotG that's why he looked familiar, but the recent flick i can remember him is from Walking Dead.

I almost, almost mistake him for Woody Harrelson when i saw him in GotG lol

Yup, pretty cool but pretty cheesy, too. 7/10 anyway, would've been higher if the basic concept wasn't so silly.

Divergent (2014)

Seems like it was made because any similar movies are sort of or very campy... it does work as a science fiction film despite its pidgeon holing as a "teen movie". The flow of the story is good, and I guess the most predictable element was meant to be like that. Not sure I'm going to watch sequels.

Edge of Tomorrow
Overall I thought this was an excellent movie. It had that Groundhog day feel to it but with a lot more action. I would watch this again for sure. In fact as soon as it ended, I wanted to watch it again. Really enjoyed it. I will probably buy it in 3d when it comes to blu ray.

Neighbors
Overall fairly funny movie. Worth watching at least once.

3 Days to kill.

Started watching this last night on Netflix. I couldn't even make it through the first 10 minutes of this movie. Just terrible. 👎

If anyone has watched this...does it get better or is it that terrible the entire movie?

Rage (Tokarev). Went in expecting it to be rubbish, and the execution lived up to that expectation. Even though it did contain one twist that threw me off for most of the movie.

What were clearly meant to be typical Cage moments (when they did occur) felt incredibly forced while the plot did little to keep me interesting. I actually had more fun counting the continuity errors.

The Purge Anarchy, nothing special but Maserati at 16:00. Edit: stupid concept for movie. Still watching, though dumb. At 44:00, California, then 456.

I went to John Wick earlier today. Fantastic action movie. It knows exactly what it should be and delivers that. 👍

Just saw Fury. Wasn't bad, would have liked more action. Some parts were a little too religious in nature for my tastes. 6.5/10

Her 👍👍

If you liked lost in translation, see this one. It is the yin to LoT's yang. Very thought provoking and current.

I have just seen the Argentinian movie "Wild Tales" (original title Relatos Salvajes). I had the possibility to see it as a pre-premiere in Poland by a bit of an accident. I wasn't too excited to go and basically got dragged along but man is that a great movie.

It is basically a black comedy which consists of 5 independent short stories that revolve around everyday rage. Great performances, interesting shots and refreshing stories. Absolutely fantastic movie that I can recommend wholeheartedly.

The Mechanic (2011 Remake)

Watched it last night. Alright movie but prefer the 1972 Charles Bronson version. 7/10
