Since iTunes finally opened shop here in India a few days ago, I can finally buy music again.

I recently bought

All three albums, and I must say I really like them all. Not immediately mind, they all grew on me quite a bit after a few listens through.

Stray Heart sounds like S Club 7 which always makes me laugh (its the bass line) but it is a great song I agree.

Edit: Also, whats your opinion on Liberation Transmission? Its one of my all time, if not my all time, favourite albums.

Haven't bought too much physical music in the last couple of months; below are the only albums I've bought since about the end of September. Getting a few more at Christmas and no doubt in the New Year though.

I bought that album back when it came out, great album.:D

That album is epic beyond all proportions. 👍

Just picked up Martina McBrides re-release of her '07 Christmas album / CD.

Isn't it just?! I got it in September too, just forgot to post :P

I'm a massive Muse fan and although I love every album that they've produced, this is one of my favourites. I've seen them live before but I'm even more excited about seeing them next June because there's so many great tracks on T2L.

Can't believe I forgot about this thread.:scared::D I have a collection of songs from most ablums(missing Showbiz), but I still need to buy the rest of them, I'm just waiting till I get some more money. And seeing them live would be amazing, especially with the new album. My father and sister went to see them live a few years ago and said it was amazing, and I imagine it would be considering how they're absolutely incredible live.👍

Thanks for that I've decided to buy Wasting light as I've already listened to most of the the greatest hits album though live videos and the like on youtube.

Anytime before a gig (DJ) i feel the need to bring some new tunes, last friday i ended up burning 20-30odd new tunes beforehand. Starts to piss me off

Well one Christmas later and I have added Queensryche's Empire, Helloween's Chameleon, and all of Avantasia's Scarecrow trilogy to my collection. And I've also got Edguy's Age of the Joker, which I purchased earlier in the year. I have now filled over half of my CD rack!

Billy Talent - Dead Silence
The Fray - The Fray ('09) & Scars and Stories ('12)

Having loved the Fray's debut album they dropped off my radar for a while but I finally got round to buying their new album and one of the intermediate ones. Just as good as I remembered them being!

Just bought this off of Bandcamp (aka the only place worth buying digital)

To bad they only offer digital because I would love to add that artwork to my collection. And while I didn't buy them, they were gifts... My dad added some more 2012 stuff to my collection and the really awesome Orange Goblin box set.

So long as you take advantage of their selection of file types. So far as I can tell their .mp3s are about level with the ones you get from Google Play.

But the option to download .FLAC files is...<3

I don't use FLAC for two reasons. 1, takes to much HDD space. 2, won't play on iTunes. I preferred iTunes interface over any of the other ones that work with last.fm but it has changed and don't want to go through the hassle of transferring all my stuff and fixing/renaming half my playlist, and still don't like any of the other UI's. I'm already used to the new UI and it runs smooth.

Well you can DL in any bit rate but I always do 320 kb/s as its the best quality/file size combination. I've never used Google Play but its either 280 (like most places) or 320 (Spotify is the only place I know that actually uses 320) last.fm and Pandora use 280.

Most online stores have an atrocious music selection... I've only once bought a CD off of iTunes and only did it because it was a digital only release. And pretty much every online retailer is insanely overpriced.

Fair enough on the UI, but just as an FYI players like WinAmp have an automatic import feature, so the works done for you if you ever want to change. And the file size can be an issue with FLAC, yeah, only a small bit of my collection I've bothered to get as FLAC and even then I keep them on my PC and far away from my phone.

And Google Play is 320kb/s mp3. Unless you plan on streaming the music to a device there's not really much advantage to it over anything else, though being more of a mainstream thing and getting bigger the selection can really only grow from what it is. That and if you want it to it'll automatically upload a copy of any song in your iTunes library and keep it as a backup.

I see no point for Google Play as I don't have a Smartphone. I use an iPod touch currently as my mp3 player which would require wifi to access it. The gym is one of the few places I actually use the thing and it isn't in a wifi zone.

I've used Winamp and about 6-7 different ones, and yes it does transfer but the naming always gets skewed. The UI, from what I remember was pretty bad if you had a collection of over a 1000 songs. The file size is really the biggest problem. All my music is on an external which is only 500ish GB. I think I may play around with Songbird again as that was the ONE media player I didn't hate.

Just bought Sublime's gold album off iTunes to replace the 5 CDs in my car. It was worth the 25 bucks for 40+ songs.

Decided to put some more diversity into my collection. Picked up these Albums with Christmas money, can't wait to listen to them all.

You can download the .mp3 file straight from Google play. Copy/paste it as many times to as many different devices as you like, no DRM to speak of. Just saying if you can't find a song you want on Bandcamp or whatever you're going to get a higher quality .mp3 from Google Play than from most music distributors.

EDIT: And because for some reason the more I heard these songs the more I liked them and ended up buying them:
