"Into Satanism", eh.
I highly doubt you will get kicked off GTP for expressing an interest in something that is completely handicapped by irrelivance. If you are anything like the way I depict you in my brain, I hate the kind of person you are.
You're not "into satanism", because there is hardly a meaning to the word.
You are simply opposed to benefitting the self because it's too much work.

Noo.. it's easier to dress like you're going to a funeral every day and wear make-up than it is to take a course in one of your interests and get a job instead of living in your parents basement until you're 22, playing guitar and smoking pot all day, maybe working part time at McDonalds during the night.

Although I was wasted, I started mocking this kid at a bus stop down town one night cuz he had nose rings and lip rings and black eye shadow and this big leather trenchcoat. He looked like an idiot. So I said something and he started saying sh-t back and acting all hardcore, then he pushes me.

*crack*
He's leaning up against the bus shelter with blood pouring out of his nose.
My friend discouraged continuation.

Alot of people consider goths as monsters or freaks.
Do they have nothing better to do than scare the elderly with there existence?
Goths; how... dated.

Judging by the colour you post in, I would have taken you for a mango facial mask and matching accessories sorta guy.

Things I wish people didn't know? My drinking history. Had a rough run for a number of years there. Woke up on lawns, in cornfields (with the engine running), with women I didn't know, with injuries that I had no clue how I got them. There's a week from college that I've wasn't sober for the entire length of.

Bad days, and I wish that most of family didn't know about them.

Try green and red red cordial with coke, plus lemon juice and milk.
If you can keep it down for more than 5 minutes you're a champion.

Completely and totally uncalled for. According to the Acceptable Use Policy and the Terms Of Service, this is consider an attack on another member. I've made assumptions about other people and been proven incredibly wrong. I suggest you learn from other peoples mistakes, and allow people to believe what they wish and act the way they do. You can certainly discuss their decisions with them. You have no right to insult people based on one sentence.

You may already know my stance on this. Sometimes (key word: sometimes) people need to be attacked like this in order to realize that they have done something stupid. What if you had a son/daughter who wanted to become a Satanist? Would you just let him/her do it because it is what they believe is right?

Just by observing this from a personal perspective, it seems to make sense that he reacted the way he did. I apologize if I seem a bit harsh, as I mean no ill will. This is difficult to post, as I have much respect for you, but I feel it must be said.

Hey dude! that was insulting man!! By the way this is my last post that has the words "satan" in it. But Satan, like God, is real, he is the opposite of beign good. Many people hate satan because the bible says that he is evil, and will try to trick you into doing bad things. Also, i'm wearing a leather jacket, Metal merchedice (Slayer shirt), and I plan on getting tattoes and rings. People with leather jackets and rings aren't idiots, its the way we show that we like Rock or Metal.

He was mocking satanism and the goth "philosophy", not JUST your clothes.

EDIT: By the way, how exactly do you classify yourself as a "Satanist"?

There are other ways to show that. There are also other things that might be more important and fundamental to show.

It could be that it's just music you like, and that's all. It's not necessarily a life-defining aspect of your individuality, particularly since the conformity among that particular group of "noncomformists" is incredibly strong.

I think Johann Bach was a genius among composers, but I don't put on a powdered wig while I listen to The Brandenburg Concertos just so I can show that I like him.

Exactly, why waste your time trying to appear edgy and jaded? Worry about what's important, rather than your persona, and you will be far more satisfied with life.

First of all, my name is not, "dude," or "man."
Second, I must say that you are totally blind and I can tell you now, that you have never picked up a bible in your life.

I am not a Christian. In fact, I am completely opposed to religion altogether as it is an easy way out of preventing life's problems.
This "God" character was just a figure of greater good to look up to in a story compiled by some people almost 2000 years ago. These characters weren't even beings in essence, but simply representations of certain types of mentallity.

Religion is a set of principles and morals that are passed down through voluntary castes, so unless you study the bible and absorb the complete antipathy of everything you read, you can hardly call yourself a Satanist.

Opposing everything the Christian bible teaches would mean that you are opposed to benefiting the self, indulgent in every pleasure available, and proves to me that you are a very stupid person. As I said before, I hate the kind of person you are, and this is the ending reason why. So unless you intend on reversing yourself and resenting your wisdom-lacking statements, changing your lifestyle to something a little more acceptable, and proving that you can actually have a use in society, a negative response should not come into effect, as it will only bring further painful revelations of the truth.

Since when do you get to dictate to another person what they can or can't do with their life? Whether I or anyone here agree's or disagree's with what he is doing is irrelevant.

It is his choice to follow that path. It is your responsibility here on GTP to respect that (even though you disagree with it), and move on. Drop the superior attitude. It is at odds with pink.

Grow up. Realize that not everyone sees the world as you do. Some people are religious, or goth, or whatever. Who the **** are you to make fun of them for it? Just because they don't follow your rules doesn't give you any right to hit them or mock them. So what if God is made up? People believe in him and a lot of people are happy. Leave them alone and get back to your world, where you have all the right answers for you.

Grow up?
Did I ever say, "don't be happy"?
That's my point here. The whole Goth 'thing' is to dwell on depression and negative things.
Where is the happiness in that? Where is the positivity and ambition to do some good for yourself?

Keep on truckin' Goomba.
I'm done here.

Anyways back to the subject at hand.

I would rather people did not know that I failed both my freshman, and sophomore years of high school,do to the fact that I was a pot smoking idiot.

P.S. I'm not calling anyone on here an idiot.

A couple years ago, I was saying what people believe in was stupid, now I really don't care. They believe in what they want to and I shouldn't and won't have any effect on that. I grew up, do the same.

If they want to dwell on negative things let them. They may need it to learn things about themselves and about life. High school was one huge roller coaster for me, and I was depressed and angry for a year or so. But I was happy for feeling "enlightened" and not sugar-coating everything that the I saw the world to be. Now I'm.... sort of normal, as normal as I'll probably ever be, but I'm glad I went through that. I've learned more about what myself and how I want to conduct myself. Oh, and since you were talking about the whole, bad job or no job with these sort of people in earlier quotes, I'm getting promoted to a $33k (USD) a year job.

People's beliefs will hold them together through hard times and will make them happier throughout life. Your saying that what they believe in is wrong and is stupid. Here, you said:

Opposing everything the Christian bible teaches would mean that you are opposed to benefiting the self, indulgent in every pleasure available

People that don't induldge in drinking, or sex, or whatever you find to be happy, whatever their beliefs may be, are happy.

To touch base on a few things said..... Who says being "goth" is about dwelling on negative things? My little sister is into the "goth" thing. She always happy. She likes to dress the part. She likes to listen to the music normally associated with what would be "goth." She still has a positive attitude, ambitous enough to want a job before she is able to be legally employed. Maintains decent grades in school.

I dont like how she dresses right now but I know that I shouldnt do anything. Its what she wants..... its how she feels like expressing herself. Im sure that if most of us were prohibited from doing the things we love most we wouldnt be happy and probably wouldnt like fast cars and video games. My rambling is done.

Thats fine and good, but most goths aren't like that. They become so wrapped up in their persona that they forget about what is really important (grades, friends, family, etc.) and become total idiots.

Though I am sure your sister will be fine, I would make sure she doesn't get too wrapped up in the whole "goth" personality and lose sight of what is important. Trust me, I have seen this happen in the past

So, are you calling me and idiot just because i'm into a gothic lifestyle?

I said most goths are idiots, unless you feel you fall into that category. If so, I don't really have to call you that; you just categorized yourself as an idiot.

I don't even know you, so I can't make that statement with absolute certainty. I think, however, that you are wasting your time living a "goth" lifestyle and that your energies could be directed elsewhere.

Anything in a movie that portrays the strength of a human spirit overcoming something gets me misty eyed. I don't burst out into tears, but they water up a bit.

You know that part in Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, where the people of Middle Earth stand before they sweep the battlefield of orcs? Yeah, even that got me.

I'm so ghey.
