Phillip Island too :mischievous:

I was going to nominate Phillip Island.

When I was at uni, we used to stay down there in late Feb, in that marvellous fortnight between the schools going back and uni starting, and basically drink ourselves stupid in a quiet beach setting. Ahhhh....

Anyhoo, we discovered by accident that the Japanese F3000 teams and the Nissan Group C team did their pre-season testing there (this is late 80's/early 90's).

You could get a decent view of the back of the circuit from Siberia through to the left-hander at the top of the hill after the Hayshed (where Lowndes and Bowe had their monumentals right in front of me in'96) and my goodness the F3000's and the Nissan were quick there.

You know, there's this thing called the Groton State Forest road up here in Vermont, and I would absolutely love to see F1s going through that, there are at least two places where the cars would either slow to 40 MPH or would leave the track verticly.

The Endurance track at Le Mans, France would make a rather nice addition to the F1 schedule, IMO. Sebring Raceway would also be an interesting mix to throw in.

No it wasn't! Next you'll be saying that the Aida track was a classic!

I would like to see some really long tracks. Road courses. Like the route of the Targo Florio and the Pescara track too.

I would like to see a return to the variations. Nowadays the tracks are all the same. Bring back Reims, Avus, Assen, Zandvoort. Leave in Spa, Suzuka, Monaco, Indy, Montreal.
Wasn't AVUS just a pair of looooong straights linked by some fiddly little corners?

Hot tracks: Le Mans(never), Full 'Ring (never :grumpy: ), Zandvoort, (maybe with some reno), street fights through NYC and London (eh...possible I guess), Laguna (nope), Paul Ricard( not anymore, it's in Paul's will or something), Old - 2000 or so- Hockenheimring (sure if a big enough fuss is raised), and races in Russia, Morocco or South Africa, Argentina, Hawaii, and India (Bernie n Max are always looking for new cash. Plus, Imola and the Euro Gp need to go-no matter where the euro is run-

Hockenheimring (sure if a big enough fuss is raised)

Didn't they rip up the track surface of the old wooded section of Hockenheimring? At least it looked that way during the coverage of the 04 Hockenheimring GP. If so that would be a huge fuss indeed!

I agree though. I much prefer that circuit to the new shorter generic one.

Ooooh so many: personally, Bathurst, Brands Hatch, old hockenheim, KEEP SPA.

Uh, can you imagine F1 cars at bathurst, they would probaly air up the crest on mountain straight and cause a big crash, they'd air over most teh track probably. The only parts that wouldn't make them crash would be conrod straight, the chase and pit straight! :dopey:

Brand Hatch, Elkhart Lake USA, Old Hockenheim, A1 ring Austria, Zandvoort, Imola without the mickey mouse chicanes

Get rid off Magny Cours, Hungaroring, Please!!!!
