Well fist of go to car dealers check some cars out real quick. Then hopefully jump into some older BMW and do a lap on Nurburgring. If there is no old BMW's Get in M5 or M6 ( BMW fan here :) ) and after that have a duel with my friends on split screen and watch the breathtaking replay in hopefully "SINGLE SCREEN" replay. We are going to have a Gran turismo party at my house that day with my friends and some beers. :) That's the plan..... Now will I live long enough to see GT5 come out? That is the question....

I said "Look at all the cars and dealerships" as in go in to each dealership and brieflu look at all the cars in each one. It would probably take me an hour.

I didn't say I was going to try out every car and give it a blast around Suzuka.

I was just kidding, sorry if you got hurt...

BTW - I wish/hope that PD would implement a feature that you can narrow the car list down to a list of available cars you can buy that depends on current credits available. Or else it could be a little bit frustrating to go through all the dealers/cars and look for the cars available with your current amount.

I allways found the frustration to be part of the game, but maybe that's just me being sado, and i like the aspirational effect it has to urge you to go earn the credits to buy the more expensive cars.;)

I won't be going for gold on the licenses to begin with (that comes much, much later) I'll plough through them, settling for bronzes, as quick as I can, same with the events.

Usually after about 6months to a year it'll start annoying me that everything isn't gold. At that point I'll start picking them off, one at a time until it's done.

I still don't have all golds in prologue but that's not normal. The events and most of the tracks in prologue were a study in retarded, I really couldn't be bothered. Hopefully GT5 proper will be a bit more serious.

Not at all :) I just thought you was being serious.

And yes, that would be a very useful addition.

So by that logic i would be a fully qualified retard then, well you're probably not far off.......:boggled:

Agreed with the rest by the way, this i remember is as it allways seems to go.;)

First I'll probably check out the vehicle selection, and spend a couple hours drooling over the cars I know it'll take a while to get.

Then, even though I told myself I wouldn't do this, I'm gonna transfer cars and credits from GT5P. I'm gonna be too pissed to put up with the lower level races right off the bat, so I'm gonna want some good cars to race with.

Inmediatley look for Maserati MC12, Benz CLK GTR Street version, Ferrari F-50, Porsche, and look for any new companies in Tuner Village

I sure hope Maserati will be in but please don't waste your time looking for Porsche ( they are not included ) , if you nonetheless find one that isn't labelled Ruf please let us know....;)

I will download and install the PS3 update required, then I will do the game install onto the HDD, then I will download and install the latest GT5 update. I will then start the game and set up my details and create my gamesave. Then I'll quit and go to bed.

I want to do an online time trial as soon as possible so I can get in the top 100 for the first time, marvel at my success then come back 10 minutes later to see my time's been beaten by everyone and his dog, never again to grace the online leaderboards.:)

Welcome to the club.......i can relate to this, so i won't even bother again ;).

1) look at all the cars
2) do the first license test
3) take prize car to whatever tracks I can to see how they look
4) do the next coupe licenses
5) start the races until I have to get the rest of the licenses.

Exorcet's guide to GT5

Step 1 - gain infinite cars and money from GT5P

Step 2 - go online

Step 3 - host ultra realistic ALMS GT1 class race

Step 4 - Continue racing until controller/wheel breaks
Step 5 - Come up with something more original that Step 4 ;)

The first thing I will do in GT5 is jump straight into career mode, with no money or car transfers. All other options and modes are icing on the cake.

Kinda' like an Olympic skiier getting all excited about being in gold medal position just because they were the first down the slope eh?!

When the game is RELEASED around 2012-2013

I will...

* Stare at the cover for ages and not believe GT5 actually is released yet.
* Fire up my PS4
* Adjust the G37 Settings
* 3D glasses on
* And hopefully drive around a track with a car.

Wouldn't that just count as career mode?

(Referring to licenses)

In previous GTs, I normally do the first licenses, then races, then more licenses etc. I was mostly talking about completing all of the licenses. An advantage to this is that you may win some cars for completing the licences to use in races!

After i slap myself just to see if i'm sleeping.i'll put every energy on my body to get as much cars as i can get before i pass out from exhaustion!

1. Update PS3, whilst reading manual on loo.
2. Install Game.
3. Whilst waiting for game to install, come to GTPlanet and give a hard time to 'newer' members with attitude problems. See example.

If you haven't noticed, I'm a new-er member here. In fact, I joined the site on 9/21/10, which the last message on that thread was the 25th, which surely is buried in the newer posts and probably on the 5th or 6th page by now.
also note this guy apparently joined in the future.

4. Install GT5 update after it has downloaded.
5. Go back online and report the ten new threads that are created for no good reason.
6. Calibrate subwoofer maximum volume to match new engine sound effects.
7. Watch opening video, then force everyone else within shouting distance to watch it too.

Yes, I am from the future. I am a Terminator. I am here to kill John Connor.
...
Where is John Connor?

Also, Gran Turismo 5 was released on July 27, 2010

No, I actually joined in 9/21/09, not 9/21/10. Sorry for the error.

Same as all GT's before it.

Spend the first hours oggling the cars in the Dealers and Used sections, while munching on hors d'oeuvres enjoying some fine greenery.

Set up options.

Buy Used car.

Then do it to it.

1. Tweak the music playlist. Listen to any songs that are worthwhile
2. Adjust settings
3. Look through all the car dealers and cars
4. Look through the championship races, most importantly the endurance races
5. Watch any replays provided by PD, hopefully of Le Mans or a NASCAR race
6. Buy a cheap car then crash it as much as possible to test the damage system and its effects on the car. Try to get it to roll over.

I dont think I'll race seriously online for a week or two. I'll go online and look around and perhaps join some low level races, but I'll spend the first 2 weeks collecting all the cars and refreshing my skills. Its gonna suck people that people are going to have all 1000 cars from day one because of GT PSP

It took 6 years to get the game, i dont think most would want to spend another 6 getting 1000 cars.

I just hope they squeeze in more Euro used and American Used, even if i end up with a Mazda FC anyway.

Well, it could be worst. They could go the Electronic Arts route and have Day 1 "DLC", stupid things like pay us $10 to unlock all the licenses right now or $10 to get all the cars in your garage. Nobody should support that crap EA is doing, it ruins gaming and rips off the gamer.

1. Check if the wheel is fixed correctly.
2. Get a MR car
3. --> Ring
4. See for new fantasy tracks (I hope there is some awesome tracks created)
5. Try rallying physics
6. See what's online like
7. Create a private room...

:)
