Import my Bugatti collection from GT PSP, get in one then (hopefully) take it around Monte Carlo and admire the graphics, then (hopefully) turn on the rain to check it out and same goes (hopefully) for night mode.

E38
1. Watch the intro/movie
2. Set my options (km/h, kw etc)
3. Go through every dealer and admire the cars
4. Go through the used car yard (or whatever there is)
5. Buy a used EG Civic preferably in that purple-blue colour. Not because I particularly like the car, but because it has been my first car since GT1.
6. Do the Sunday Cup (or its equivalent, presuming that it still doesn't require a license to do that)
7. Complete B license and then work my way through the game...

👍

But I think... my point 4 would by: go to Arcade, choose the Enzo and the Nurb

1) Enjoying the intro
2) Checking out the whole map...where is everything, how does it looek etc...
3) Start license tests!!!

I'll be starting in career mode, checking what cars are available for purchase for my first car, and if not liking what I see, continuing to do license tests for a prize car and/or money, before resuming a search for a first car that takes my fancy. (In GT4 I was able to get a 4th gen Camaro Z28 for my first car by doing the first license and selling the VW prize car).

Few time trials laps of the top gear track in the liana or lacetti in arcade mode, if thats not possible, or once ive done that, its on to GT mode, do first 3 licenses, and start the beginner cups using crappy used cars in that class (I normally use EG civics for FF, 200SXs for FR, mk1 MR2s for MR and classic imprezas for 4WD)

Ill probably spend 10% of my time online for the first few weeks, then 90% of my time online once the GT mode gets to the difficult stages

Obviously go straight to the Race Mode but before that I will be taking a Sh....t because I will be so suprised to have the game in my possesion after such a long wait it would be like being Mugged with a gun held to my head having a masked man say GIMMIE ALL YOUR MONEY!!:scared:

I'll probably be sitting in the ol' Thunderbox when I get the game simply so the universe can annoy me, in that I'll finally have GT5 and have to wait another 5mins while I do the natural human thing before being able to play.

Really don't know if I'll transfer cars from GTPSP but I do know I won't go near online mode untill I've fully completed career mode, thats just something I do on every game but once it's completed I will spend many, many years purley racing online.

Pop the disc in the PS3, plug in the wheel, spend half an hour having a general look around then get stuck in to getting gold on all the licenses.

And after that, grab a Ferrari 458 Italia (in Yellow), turn up the sound to an unreasonable level, go to Nurburgring Nordschleife and try to get a lap in before the cozzers come round with a breach of the peace order :D

All the best

So far, i like Turbo-Kai's responce the best. I think if people go in and check all the hyped up features like damage and rain etc they will be disapointed and then probably won't play the game as much. I'm not saying these features will be rubbish, but there was a quote or interview with PD where they said that a large percentage of people play racers to see how the damage looks, they then do not go on to experience the full game.

If you take the game out the box, watch the intro, familierise yourself with the map and then start the game as it's susposed to be started by taking the licence tests, i think you'll get the most enjoyment out of it. I'll personally then start the career mode and lastly check out online and photomode. I'm certainly not going to crash my first car into a wall to see what happens because surely the biggest surprise will come from it happening accidentally and thinking 'i wasn't expecting that!' There is a lot of pressure on PD about damage etc, but at the end of the day, it's not a crash simulator, it's a driving simulator.

Buy a cheap car
Do the Sunday Cup and ff/fr race depending on the car I buy(Only minimal tuning if required)
Get the B and A licences out of the way
Enjoy!

1. Look at all the cars and dealerships
2. License tests
3. Look for my first car

Assume it will take around 2 minutes to watch each car, and about 1 minute to enter/exit from car view screen, it total of 3 minutes "spending" per car.

Assuming there are 1000 cars (if all are available to view at the start) it around 3000 minutes for your step 1 - Man, this is 50 HOURS !!!!!!!
(even if you narrow it down to 1 minute per car you need to spend around 15 hours just watching all cars)

I just think you need to reconsider your steps....lol

Probably cry, trying to contain myself, smoke a sigaret and cry again.
After checking all cars, options and tracks available i will be in a state of shock and just check it all over again.
Eventually, when i get back to my senses, i will try to get the licenses first ( hopefully not taking too much time getting all gold ).
Will then get a high-mileage used smoker and begin the journey......

Straight onto arcade mode, splitscreen race, marvel at all the cars on offer.

Splitscreen GT3 and GT4 used to be a staple sunday afternoon family event (well, me and my brother).

First : checking every manufacturer to see all the cars with my own eyes.
Then license test to win some rare cars and then, Sunday Cup, Clubman Cup, etc, etc... GT Mode all the way with some online races in the middle.

I'll watch the introduction, then i will go to the dealerships and look at cars, then i will look at the tracks, basically i will look at everything on the career map to see what's new and stuff.

First things first, so I'm going to pass all the license tests, after that I will transfer my entire GT5P collection and sell every duplicate car to make money.

Actually I would like to get my old japanese 80's car and start from the beggining and transform it into a racing machine, but unfortunately I don't have time to do it, so I will buy and race with every new and exciting car, I'm looking forward to drive every one of them. Vette ZR1 is waiting for me, you know. ZR1 and 458 Italia deserve to be driven first. :sly:

After putting my hands in any fast car: Head to time attack nurburgring on N3 tires!

Also, I will spend hours looking at the dealerships too, not full 50 hours :D, but I will give a closer look at exotics and concept cars.

part of career so use race in career option. It's not like someone's life depends on the accuracy of this poll.

No I agree, but on a discussion forum it helps to be concise in a poll. It wouldn't be akin to good discussion if the poll options were just 'drive' or 'watch GTTV'. The more options there are, the more representative of peoples opinions the poll is.

I know a number of people who will aim to gold all the licence tests before even driving the Sunday cup. It doesn't even contribute to career percentage completion. If the OP edits that option in, I will vote for it, until then I won't because I wouldn't giving a representative answer otherwise.

First off I'll have resisted the urge to talk about GT5 to anyone in work so it doesn't look like I'm pulling a sickie when I tell them I've contracted a non life threatening but highly contagious illness. Possibly swine flu or german measles, think there's plenty of time to research one that'll keep me house bound for a couple of weeks :sly: then....

All licences...attempt to get all gold...consider losing face and sending Stotty a PM to email me his gave save with all gold licences ;)

Spend a considerable amount of time choosing first car and get stuck into off line career mode.

Resist importing cars and/or cash from GT5P save

Once I've get some decent wheels and am up to speed try out online mode.

-Watch the intro
-options - music in race: off, wheel setup etc
-look at dealerships look at some cars etc
-buy a used high mileage civic or integra(DC2) whichever I can afford
-take said honda round a track... whichever takes my fancy
-license tests
-career
-build a drift car
-online sometime

I could own only this game and be content for life probably... XD

I said "Look at all the cars and dealerships" as in go in to each dealership and brieflu look at all the cars in each one. It would probably take me an hour.

I didn't say I was going to try out every car and give it a blast around Suzuka.
