I will probably stare at the unopened box and admire the fact that it is actually released. Its been a LONG road.
Haha!:D

For me it will go something like this:

Acquire my copy of GT
Admire Box & Photograph the case alongside my PS3 (PS3 Wallpaper and Image date used to remember when GT5 come out.)
Go through all the Licenses, getting Gold on all (obtaining special unlocks).
Admire the car's I unlocked.
At this point I will proceed to explore all of Photo Mode.
Get in a V8 Super and do a lap of Bathurst; roaring over skyline...I only hope so lol.👍

First order of business is to open up Career Mode...
Then find the Ferrari Dealership...
Drool for 5 Minutes...
Find the Lamborghini Dealership...
Drool for another 5 minutes...
Find the American Muscle Cars...
Drool again, this time for 15 minutes...
Find a 10K clunker (probably Japanese)...
Get Licenses done...
Wipe the floor with everybody on Sunday Cup...

My plan of action in a nutshell.

Go into a NASCAR race in Arcade, start in a full grid, and then turn around as soon as the race starts and drive backwards.

It's not that difficult to figure out what I'm trying to accomplish by doing that.

Poor guy's been waiting for GT5 so long, he's resorted to animated Disney films.

You forgot 'ruin controller whilst drooling over how much fun the clunker is to drive' :D:tup:

I`ll be doing my standard GT release day schedule

1. Wake up early due to the excitment and pace around the house impatiently staring at the clock.
2. I`ll be taking the day off work (traditional for GT releases) so ring up "sick" at the right time of the morning.

3. Stare at the clock some more.

4. Race off to the shops leaving enough enough time to arrive early and pace around outside waiting for them to open.

5. Grab game from checkout chick(pause for a quick look over if she is hot enough)

6. Race back home and slip GT5 into the PS3.

7. Turn up volume so the neighbours, neighbours can hear)

8. Get out my table and G25 and hook it up.

9. Grab a drink and watch the intro vid

10. Adjust all the settings in the menu. And turn that damn menu/race/replay music off god i hate it!

11. Browse through everything(but not every car)

12. Go to arcade mode and test drive a few cars and tracks, check for damage and skidmarks and weather. Lets not forget reverse lights and let`s have a good hard stare at the detail of the leaves of the trees :-) And then see if the replay mode has been fixed in 2 player. GT4 2 player replay is terrible.

13. Off to get license`s

14. Buy something decent 2nd hand and multi-purpose car like a EVO or WRX and upgrade it with whatever cash is left over. Head to sunday cup and knock that over, sell the prize car(depending on what you get) and continue to upgrade your car as you go along. The right little car will take your far into the game before you need to buy something else.

15. Continue career mode from there :-)

If I can get holidays for the day it is released, it's soooooo going to be the first time I ever wait outside the store before it opens in anticipation.:P I hope it's a global release though, keeping up with revelations upon other people starting the game finding new things will be hard and frustrating.

First I'm going to browse through the car manufacturers and watch some of the badass cars with a sweet anticipation that soon I'm gonna drive them.

1 - Look at all the dealerships, starting from the Ford dealership, and going from american to australian, then european, and finally, japanese.
2 - Look at all the used car lots (if there are any).
3 - Buy the same piece of crap I buy in all my GT games: Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86. It's the car that got me into GT in the first place, so I find it fitting that it's the first car I buy in every game.
4 - Do the licenses, not necessarily golding them.
5 - Play the hell out of it!

I voted Career. But first thing ever, I will check out all the options. Turn off music for Race, play with wheel settings. Turn everything to simulation. And then play with sound (turn on HUGE theater etc etc) So after 20 - 30 minutes I should then pick my first car. Go to garage and see what I can buy and how can I customize it but I wont buy anything yet... then I will go to a Sunday Cup race. After a race i will do some license tests.

Unlock all the cars. Get 2 of every car at least, one for a stock version the other a mod. Then ill play online.

2000 cars? then you play online? HAHA good luck. Some people even today try to collect all the GT4 cars even without cheating. Also there are some secret cars that you may be able to buy on certain days, like in GT4, so good luck getting them. They costs millions of CR.

We will be able to transfer cars from GT5p?

PD have said that will be the case. Additionally, owners of GT PSP will also be able to import their cars. Although, I'm not sure exactly how that will work. Whether you get all your cars or just the ones marked shareable or you can trade the cars marked tradeable. This is what I will do first. I don't want it to feel like cheating so I am not bulking up my garage by sharing and trading.

Why is it that people want the music off during the race? I can understand wanting no music on to listen to the car's engine in a real-life race, but we're talking about a VIDEO GAME. If the music is too loud, then you can adjust the volume to satisfy your needs. Why wouldn't you want music?

I will quickly purchase a car and take it out for burnouts. Upon seeing no skid marks I will have a major hissy fit and post on several on-line forums that GT5 is an epic fail due to the absence of said skid marks.

Either that or I'll probably just start a career with a reasonably priced car (Acura Integra or such) and pay tribute to the gods of the new physics by crashing on a frequent and repeated basis until I get it right.

I don't understand why you would want to listen to music while driving (spiritedly)/racing in real life or in a game/sim, I can't stand it, I like to get the full engine/enviroment sound experience all the time. Not over shadowed or muffled by some music.

Menus on the other hand I don't mind some music on a lower setting.

Because GT music has always been terrible. It hurts my ears :yuck:

Okay, those are pretty legitimate reasons...

Although I do like the music that they put in the games, and I like the possibility of adding in your own music...

1) I too dislike the stock music package within the game. I never listen to music while racing. Having the ability to stream your own music library as GTPSP does has been confirmed by PD for GT5 and I will appreciate it while watching replays only.

2) GT5 is said to be quite different in many ways from GT4 and it's hard to actually say what I will do first (other than wipe up my drool and pinch myself to verify that I'm not dreaming). There are many things included that we've never seen before such as sharing replays etc.

3) I will not be "forcing" any of the new features as many of you have stated. I want to experience the excitement of encountering the new effects spontaneously in the virtual racing world, not just wrecking the car for no reason other than to see what happens. I want to be surprised at the outcome of my actions during the actual racing.

As for the first driving experience, it is hard to pin point it at this stage. If we are allowed to transfer cars from Prologue and/or GTPSP, they will more than likely only be available in Arcade mode and I will get into something wickedly fast and do a few laps around the Ring for old times sake. Having lived with EA Sports atrocious Nascar series for so many years, I am really looking forward to some immersive Nascar racing and hope to God they include long races with pit stops and car adjustments :)

After installing the game, it's actually hard for me to say in all honesty what I'll do .... I just follow my instincts. Obviously, as many have already said, we will all have to go thru the settings and options.

When GT4 released, I played it for 17 hours straight and I doubt GT5 will be any different :) At least I'm retired now and don't have to use a weeks vacation like I used to :)

Voted for the first one, I'll absolutely do it before playing the game if it's possible.

OKAY now its official: You never played GT4 !!
GT4 had one of the best Music-Collection of all Video-Games.
Classic, Rock, Pop and Techno; 4 all kinds of taste.

B2T: I will just play the Game like I played GT4. Licence-Tests for Cars and after that i´ll just race 4 some special Cars and additionally race online. (GT4 had no online racing so it differs from that;))
