1st: Race in Split-Screen

2nd: Finish some license tests

I've done those exact steps since I played the first GT, and I'll keep that tradition going.

I'll watch the sunrise in my jeans, jeans shirt, and jeans jacket, kiss the box, then sit down and play.

Not a very good poll option...Where's the "Get license's"? Thats what Ill be doing first, taking care of business before play :P

Then afterwards play around with select cars in TT so I can study the game and do my nervous twitch lol

First, I'll cry in amazement, then marvel at it's full HDness, then cry a bit more, and then I'll start the o so daunting career mode.

First Thing open the box

2. stare in awe

3. place the game in ps3

4. Watch the intro movie

5. Transfer my cars over

6. Look at the dealerships.

7. get my license's

8. START RACING :D :D :D

None of the voting options. Honestly, I think the first thing I will do is browse GT mode and look at all the pretty cars, then jump over to Arcade mode to try some of them out. (what's available, and assuming GT5 doesn't have a "test-drive" mode option)

Then I'll get started on the licenses. 👍

I'm not gonna do any of the pole selections because I am going to do what I always do; Go into career mode and check out all the cars. Then go to Arcade and race a few cars to get the feel of the game etc.. then head over to GT Mode and let it all begin. again.

First I'll have Christmas dinner, then.............Thank you Santa!:)

We get tired of hearing exaggerated comments about GTs far off release, but this one made me laugh :)

I've had a re-think. The first thing i'm going to do is not do the licenses and race, its check every car showroom and maybe check out what online features there is (Without entering an online race). Then I will do the licenses, buy my first car, etc.

just go to dealership and stare then write a list of who i will buy cars then i will execute it to the best of my ability as im not great at sticking to plans so i my swap some cars on my list as i go

1. Look through every single car in the Career mode.
2. Sweep through every corner of the menus.
3. Turn of "music during racing"
4. Turn of "music during replays"
5. The Nürb and an SLS in arcade mode (if Kaz let's me)
6. The licenses
7. Everything else in a random order, hopefully taking at least 1 year of my not-so-active gaming time.

I've thought about this off and on since this thread was made, and I honestly don't know. After watching the opening cinema, which I'm sure will be jaw dropping, it depends on what the initial menu offers. Most likely, I'll go into GT Mode and gape at that screen for a few minutes, drinking in the menu music. Then, depending on whether it invites me to start my GT "career," I'll start hitting up the dealers and used lots, gawking like a kid in a holiday season toy store.

Then if the option is available, I'm doing a transfer from Prologue. Sorry guys, I know there are cars I'm going to want to buy before they slip away, and darn it, I love the cars I collected in Prologue! That will be my first act if it's available.

Next, I'll grab a small car and begin the long, arduous journey through GT Mode, including every single license test, mission, and manufacturer cup race. And with around 1000 cars... dang, will there be a ton.

I'm hoping there's a separate Career Mode, and if there is, I'm spending my life in there after I get a few GT Mode events notched on my belt.

thats a very easy question for me because i dream it every night
(really its not a joke)

1.i will cry
2.i will put the game into my ps3
3....i will take a car and drive a 24h race after that i will kiss my ps3 and the game

after ~6years ouwww ,that will be just awesome
+1000cars
1 lap on nürburgring =~10min
i will try to drive with every car min. 50 laps on the nürburgring
1000*50=50000
50000*10min=500000
...347.22 days (+there will be other tracks too+multiplayer+career+much more things)
i dont know how much time i have to spend on gt5 to do everything what i want and to finish the game

I'd just go for it,Starting with the licenses naturally then if/when I get stuck I'll look at a few cars and maybe transfer my GTMobile garage over.

Every GT game I like to have a browse around watch the intro a couple of times, turn off the music and auto save function. Once done a look around the dealers to see what my starting cash will buy, once I've got my new stead I like to do some laps on a familiar track to get the handling and feel for the game, then its career time and the steady climb to completion and all gold.

Easy...I'll take the cellophane off of the box. Har har.

No seriously, couldn't vote on poll because there isn't a 'browse' option. That's what I'll do initially for several hours. Browse the menus. Browse the options/settings area. Browse the cars & tracks. Etc.

...Damn, now you all got me fantasizing about the game!

^ Thanks for reminding me about my first GT2 car. Chances of PD bringing the old Starlets back? Sadly, slim to none :(.

Meh, same thing I've done since GT1; turn off racing music, ignore Arcade Mode, browse all the dealers and everything in GT Mode to get a feel, then get to work on golding licenses. GT4's frankly too-easy approach of gifting a car for all three levels (bronze, silver, and gold) hopefully won't carry over, but if it does, I guess it gives me more options to start racing in. My "First Purchased Car" history has been MA70, '82 Starlet, AE86, and M Coupe, so I don't know what might be next. I'll take a picture of whatever it ends up being, then continue going through series as quick as possible to amass cash and expensive/non-purchaseable cars.

Oh... and provided GT allows more than one save (which it should), I will cave and have a second save with a transfer of my GTPSP collection. Could provide easy money, photomode ops, and a wide variety for online races.

I'll just transfer all of my GT PSP + Prologue cars into GT5 and then I'll go to the options menu and decide which feature/function should I want on or off. Then look at other menus e.g. GT mode, GT-TV, GT online etc. Yeah it'll be a blast.

I'm copying Shaun's answer a bit and adding my own bits in.
