It's a really poor choice of poll options I am afraid to say, so I thought I'd mention it here. First I would go to the dealership, browse (and perhaps drool a bit) the cars available. I would then set about the (hopefully) long and arduous task of gold-ing every licence test.

Agree, apart from maybe the all gold bit ill go back and do that once im used to the game physics etc..

Cant wait to get that first cheap car though and start doing it up piece by piece!

PROFIT!

I think I'll tale one round of Photomode pics for a gallery as soon as possible, and *then* go back to golding licenses ;)

profit? i can make money off of gt5 screen shots? :P

Everyone tries out damage?

im not really interested in damage, im more interested in seeing the different cockpits and if they strip interior with weight reductions.

I would check what kind of used cars are available, buy one andd get a feel of the game, before trying the licenses.

I`m going to have a good look around menus, tracks, car dealers etc. Then i`ll head to the licence center, try to just work through, i can always to back later and tidy it up.

Will not be using any cars credits from GT5p(well if we can transfer it). Buy a car head out get racing!

Like I do with any GT game I get, explore the menus, then, go to my favorite car makers, like Ferrari, Lamborghini, and hopefully Caterham, get in one of those cars in time trial, and make a lap around the Nurburgring, and the Top Gear Test Track.

I like your idea. But I'll explore every car maker, firstly the Aussie ones.

Like all the GT games I have bought before, I didn't want to be held back by not having the proper license for a series or event. So I will likely start with that.

But I need to buy a console, so that is likely the 100% first thing I do. After that I hope a store like Gamestop will be open at Midnight on the 2nd so you can purchase the game.

In game -

Throw in the disc, watch the complete intro, license test up to whatever it takes to do most of the races. Maybe some Driving Missions. I didn't find them all that hard until I got the last few and I still haven't pass Mission 34.

The first thing I did in GT4 was check out some of the cars in arcade mode and then race a TVR T350C at the Ring. I'll probably do something similar with GT5.

Browse, browse, browse... as other posters have said, I intend to explore every conceivable menu and options screen in the game before even getting in a car.
Then, license tests.
Then, Sunday Cup.

So, I guess, career mode first.

First thing I'd do after recieving my copy? Check the calendar to see which year we're living and check the mirror to see how much I've aged since the last one........
After that, browsing all content and options and slowly start the familiar journey again.....'91 Prelude are you still there?

Well first I’ll have to think about how old my PS3 and DFGT wheel were and think that if I bought gold with that money I would have had enough money at the time the game came out, that I would have been able to have everything for free.

Experience the physics of GT5 first, so I can have the feel of the game when I'm playing in career mode. Oh, & ace the license test!!

after taking a look at the options, as posted before- I then want to take a look at the cars...Although it may take decades, I plan on browsing every car in the dealerships!

I will Check the S2000 in arcade mode and get the feel of the physics and sound. I'm 60% sure that it won't sound like the real thing. but hey? Even though it doesn't sound like the real thing in GT4 I still had tons of fun with it. :D Maybe GT5 will be 100 times better overall. So finger cross 👍

Just take a car around the Nurburgring... slowly at first, of course - there's the new physics engine, plus the fact I hope to be using, for the first time, a wheel with a clutch and H-gate. G25s are cheaper since the G27 came out! :dopey:

Like an other member said...Browse browse and browse :) On a side note i never knew you could transfer GT5:Pro data to gt5? i thought that was only for GTPSP?

i will take my garage from gt psp, although it spoils some fun i will be well prepared for the online races(hope that the f1 gets into that lot)

Watch intro.
Fire up career mode (or GT mode).
Check out all the offerings at each dealership.
Plow through license tests.
Race. Win. Race. Win.
Earn tons of money.
Buy a collection of awesomeness.
Blow the rest of my load on online.

or

Kill it with fire.

I agree ^^

But me personally, i would do the following.

-Pop the disc in
-configure settings
-configure surround sound
-configure tv picture
-configure head tracking
-thoroughly explain to everyone in my home that i am not to be bothered will sitting in my racing cockpit.
-find whatever car they give you first and immediately drive the ring
-cry a few tears.

I probably won't get it, but I am toying with the idea. Especally if the price of the PS3 comes down. I'd love to get my hands on a PS3, a steering wheel and GT5, and if I did, I'd do the following:

1) Do all the races that don't require a licence
2) Get the first licence
3) Do all the races that require said first licence
4) Get the second licence
5) Do all the races that require said secnd licence

Rinse, lather, repeat.

:dunce: For someone who posts so regularly in the GT5 section i'm quite surprised. I'm pre-ordering my copy. But i'm around 80% sure I won't have a PS3 to play it on straight away, I may have to wait til around Christmas to actually play it.

I like following it. And I don't have much else that's better to do - I have to stay at uni until the end of term even though my exams are finished (I have a position in my college that means I have to stay ... but I don't mind, it's part of the job).

Yeah, I wouldn't go pre-ordering it without the knowledge that I had or would have a PS3. It's because of my budget - I don't have a lot of spare money to throw around. It also seems a bit excessive forking out roughly $600 for a console, $100 for the game and $150 for the steering wheel (all rough estimates) if it's the only game I'm going to play. I'm a fan of the Final Fantasy series, but FFXIII does nothing for me (and by the sounds of things, it's super-linear), and while MGS sounds like something I'd enjoy, I've never played one before (excet for a fifteen-minute demo of the first MGS), so starting withGuns of the Patriots seems pointless. So if I am to get a PS3 and GT5, it will have to wait until I'm out of uni and he price of the hardware will have to come down.
